You'll be glad you came in for the seitan nuggets and pad thai, but I was downright delighted at the unexpected dose of enlightenment & entertainment that came with it. My advice: try to come in at an off-time and strike up a convo with the affable owner, a profound fella named Jordan who could pull off a standup career if he decided to close down Col's — but as with the best vegans, his heart is in the mission and he keeps chugging along despite the snafus. The food is amazing, and I love this place. But they really need better lighting so you can tell it’s open. And they were out of some entrees that they forgot to tell us about when they gave us the menus. Service is not fast, so expect food to take a while, but it’s worth it. Delicious!
