“Saigon & Tokyo is forever a favorite of mine. I grew up coming here with friends during high school and now I still enjoy it as an adult. We can always count on amazing quality from here. Most recently we placed a large order for a birthday dinner and could not have been more satiated. It's unfortunate that COVID has turned the establishment to take-out only, and I miss the durian shakes they used to make, but we still love ordering from here.“
“Everything is great, especially the rice cake appetizer (I expected Korean rice cakes like in ttekbokki, but they're little cubes of rice seared on the sides; we got them with duck but they would be just as good without it) and, obviously, the noodles. But in particular, don't sleep on the hot sauce -- Fresno chiles are one of my favorite chiles for flavor, and we got a bottle to take home and have been putting it on everything. Bonus points that the cocktails are canned and you can get them to go.“
“I absolutely love this place top to bottom. Anytime I order something new my mind and taste buds are consistently blown away. I normally just get Pad Thai, sometimes a yellow curry. Got the Pad Ke Mouv for the first time tonight and. MY. GOD. I didn't know food could be this delicious and satiating. 5 stars across the board. Support local!“
“We showed up they said we probably wouldn't be seated for an hour. They seated us right away. It was our third time having Hot Pot at the Pink Bamboo. But our daughters' friends first time ever. The service is always really good and the food is so delicious.“
“Mei Wei....where do I even start? Mei; That name reminded me of my late wife (May). She was a Vietnamese firecracker from Phuoc Hua, a small village outside of Ho Chi Minh City. She was the light of my life and when I lost her, the world went still, I lost that light. I traveled the world searching for it. I scoured high and low for something to take me back to that time and restore me to my old self. I almost lost faith until I stumbled upon Mei Wei. My granddaughter goes to UNH and she took me and her father there for a dinner date and it was eye opening. The food was delicious, it fueled my imagination and my heart. The Pork Lo Mein was so delectable that it almost brought a tear to my eye. Finally, sushi was to die for and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. Mei Wei gave me something that no other place, thing or person ever had since I lost my dear May. Mei Wei brought my light back. It gets my ultimate endorsement and I am eternally grateful for this small restaurant tucked away in Durham.“
“We went in on a Saturday around 5:30ish. There was a wait, so we sat in the bar (which wasn't very busy yet). we had fabulous tempura, flavorful Crab Rangoon, and egg rolls for appetizers. The coconut shrimp entree was a bit sweet, I wouldn't order that again, but it was very fresh and delicious otherwise. The spicy beef wasn't very spicy but, again, delicious. As the bar got busy, we were not neglected (even though we weren't drinking). The service was fantastic. We will definitely go again.“
“My husband and I go here all the time, and I bring all my friends. The milk bubble tea is fresh and delicious. The Xiao Long Bao are fluffy and warm. The ramen is warm and homey. The staff have always been very sweet to us, and the atmosphere is clean and friendly.“
