“Autumn Nomad provided the cake for our wedding day, cookie trays for the reception and whoopie pies for our favor baskets. Everything we tried from them tasted and looked incredible. We got so many compliments from guests on how beautiful the cake was and how great it tasted. We chose milk and cookies and chocolate berry cream for our cake flavors and I would highly recommend them both! The team at Autumn Nomad was great to work with and they provided beautiful, great tasting products.”

“Great little general store. Some local jams, syrup, etc. Great place to stop for lunch, with a dining area where you can watch the x-country skiers in the winter. Food was great! We had Avacado toast, Ham & Swiss on sourdough, jerk chicken wrap, and a Pastrami & Swiss on Rye. All were delicious!”

“Great food and drinks. The BEST New England Haddock Chowder. Rooms at the Inn could use some updating but are clean and comfy. Only issue is if your room is on the 3rd floor you have to haul your luggage up stairs. Our room was heated with a gas wood stove which kept the room warm but very dry. We had to buy a pot to put water in and sit on the stove to help with the dryness. This is an older rustic place and very traditional to the area so keep that in mind when booking. There is no mini fridge, microwave or coffee in the room. However, coffee and tea are always available down in the restaurant for guests. Loved our stay while there and the food was delicious.”

“Pure Magic. visiting from Florida and was dragged into this little gem. decor is very cool. a "Wizard of Oz" theme and cupcakes that would make the wicked witch chuckle in delight... bought 2, then bought two more the next day and had to bring a few home with me... the Turkey Club was MASSIVE... hint for families.. its sharable.”

“I don’t know where to begin. The atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant was old Irish vibes and they had a live Irish folk band sitting around a table playing. The waitress was spectacular. Knowledgable of the menu and beer list and wonderful at letting us know when orders were placed and delivery. The food was probably the best Irish cuisine I’ve had to this date. The trio sampler of Shepard’s Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, and Beef Stew were all flavorful. My girlfriends grilled peach and goat cheese salad was so full of flavors and the bacon and walnuts gave it a good crunch, my moms Ruben and butternut squash were amazing and I had the corned beef and cabbage. All were out of this world. Can’t say enough good things.”

“Underground Bakery & Cafe was a recent find and will be a daily stop while we’re on vacation! The iced coffee is amazing and has coffee iced cubes so it doesn’t get watery. They have homemade pastries and treats, we tried the ring ding and salted caramel cake which were both 10/10. I highly recommend this local gem!”

Everyone commented on how amazing they all were. We were so lucky to find Cafe Italia and Lory - who was amazing to work with and so kind - and what a talented baker!! “I had to come here and post a story that happened to a couple buddies and I a few years ago and how helpful muddy moose is . We were out fishing over the long weekend in may, it’s later in the evening and my one buddy says man wouldn’t it be cool to get a poutine ? Of course we all agree so we bust a phone out in the boat, search muddy moose up quick and hit dial not really paying much attention to it . Anyhow some very nice lady answers and we ask if they are still open to which she replies “ yes we are for another 30 min” . Well we’re like game on ! So we ask for three poutines to which the kind lady replies “ what’s a poutine “ answering her question kind of scratching our heads? How could you not know what this is ? Anyhow I’m sure we sounded hick with the frogs, boat motor, and three Canadians chirping each other through the call. She says oh yes we can make that for you and can have it in a bag for when you get here . Well now we are racing across a lake , jumping in a truck , racing down a muddy back road , down the highway , and yes we had about it two minutes to spare when we got to the Moose . When I ran in the door asking for our order a friend of ours is like “ uh dudes the grill has been closed for an hour” ??? We called the wrong muddy moose …. 🫎 we called you guys 1500km away . Woops . We ended up calling back after realizing our mistake , boy did we laugh , the lady couldn’t stop laughing either . We offered to pay over the phone but the lady said it was an honest mistake and a funny one and that she would offer up the poutines for a couple guests in the store . Good times . When I can get down there on my bike I plan on planning a stop just to order a meal .”
