“This place is awesome! I got the 4Js special and it was delicious! Don't let the appearance or location fool you. This is a diamond in a dumpster. You get an awesome freshly sliced sandwich with really nice soft chewy bread that's the size of a sleeping bag. Huge, delicious, and at a great price. Friendly staff too.“
“In the summer months, I always look to have a nice refreshing lemonade, and Pucker's is definitely the place to get it while visiting Asbury Park. Just one sip, and you know you are getting fresh squeezed lemonade that has the right amount of sweet to tart ratio. The place is small and hardly noticeable on the boardwalk unless you are using the restrooms that are directly behind them. They also serve fries (several sizes) and fried oreos, but I haven't had the chance to try them yet as I always go for the lemonade. The staff is friendly and quick with the orders, so no complaints about the service. I noticed some reviews stated that the price of the lemonade is a tad high at $6 each or $7 if you get a flavored lemonade, but I think it is pretty reasonable. I definitely recommend and most certainly stop by again the next time I am in the area.“
“Stopped in for lunch and they had a good selection of choices to pick from. I got the griot with sweet plantain and rice and peas. My husband likes all his food moist with sauce so we got some gravy from the chicken in sauce and it was so good. Good amount of heat in the sauce and the meat was fresh and not tough. The rice was fluffy and light and the plantains were a perfect match to the meat.We also got 2 chicken patties and 2 beef patties and they were ok. The meat to pastry ratio is off so you end up eating more pastry than meat which is disappointing. The meat had great flavor but they should make it smaller so the meat stands out more. The dough was buttery and flaky and had a good bite.Overall, it was a good experience. The customer service was a bit dry but polite.I would definitely go back to try more things and would recommend this spot for authentic Haitian food.“
“Was visiting the area last week and had no idea what to eat. Saw this place had high ratings and gave it a shot. Lemme tell you, they earned these ratings! Affordable, filling, and delicious. Reminded me of my aunt’s cooking growing up. Home style cooking and great portions. Now where I’m ordering from next time I’m in the area! Love it!“
