“Loveeeee this diner. Came from Tom's River passing like 10 diners along the way but the reviews were so tempting I had to try. Totally worth it. The place is jumpin like diners all once were. The entire staff from start to finish were all fast paced and pleasant. We had mozzarella sticks, French onion soup, turkey dinner, chicken Marsala, and a breakfast sandwich. The only part of my experience was we were leaving for vacation the next morning so I couldn't take home my leftovers and the portions were so great I could have made another 2 meals out of them. But now that I'm home we can't wait to go back.“

“Wow The best Italian restaurant at the jersey shore if you go Friday or Saturday you better get a reservation I would suggest you get one during the week also to be safe. Byob food and atmosphere are outstanding and the hostess waitresses and owner are so nice they make you feel like you were invited to their home for Sunday dinner with the family.“

It is not a large space and I wouldn’t go with a party larger than 6 if you want to sit together. I only wish I had gone here sooner after moving to the area. “Came here for a quick, Sunday homestyle breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere is unique, to say the least, but also gives a lot to start conversations amongst the table. Serving portions were superb and food was very tasty. I have seen other comments and reviews that were very negative and nasty, but everybody can have a bad day once in a while. They were complaining on the service and owner/waiter being rude and yelling. I've seen more positive ratings than negative ones. While not everybody has the same humor, people can definitely be some Debbie downers. All in all, we had a nice experience and enjoyed the food. Ihop who?? Lol will def be back!!!“

“First time picking up food from the Fire Pit Grill, won’t be the last time. My husband and I met Steve (the owner) who was an absolute delight to speak with. We ordered the Giants Platter with ribs, chicken, garlic shrimp, fried plantains and rice. It was delicious and the portion was large enough for the both of us. “At my visit to the Band Wagon Diner, the service I got was 100x better than what I expected. The waitress was extremely kind and provided really amazing service. This is truly a hidden gem of a restaurant! The food came out fast and was mouthwateringly delicious. I got the Chopped Sirloin w/onions, which is a Wednesday special. Not only was it just a steak it came with soup, salad, mashed potatoes, spinach/rice mix, and a dessert where I picked their rice pudding. The ambiance of the restaurant was sleek and modern with very nice, extremely clean restrooms. Overall, there was amazing service, atmosphere, and bathrooms. “We had our wedding reception here 8/26/23 and had an absolutely amazing time! Christy and her staff are absolute professionals. The space was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the whole experience was so comforting and beautiful. Everyone loved the food, especially the meatballs, they even made delicious vegan dishes for some our guests! They went out of their way to be as accommodating as possible for us, which was more than we could ask for. If you are looking to have a beautifully quaint and affordable wedding reception, Artisan's is the place for it! “I say with the utmost confidence that Barons is the best bagel place in NJ and I live 45 minutes away from both locations. We usually go to Point Pleasant but stop in Brick sometimes as well. The breakfast sandwiches are HUGE (as pictured). Their cream cheese is also super fresh and you get a ton. Sometimes we get one bagel on the side and we make 2 bagels w cream cheese out of it. “Pat’s Pizza really has the best Cheesesteak in the area. Yes, their pizza is also good but the cheesesteak is where it’s at. I’ve been to Philly and tried many cheesesteaks from many places, and this is still one of my favorites. The fries are also extra hot and crispy. Nice little side to your pizza and cheesesteak. “The waitress that served us made us feel like we had to rush and get out. We came to the restaurant to have lunch with a friend from overseas we havent seen in 2 years. We wanted to sit and talk leisurely. Instead she interrupted us every 2 minutes, while we were still eating insisting on bringing us boxes so that we can pack food to go, we would have ordered more drinks, dessert, but she was so annoying that we left and went down the street to Starbucks instead so we wouldn't be rushed“

I recommend EVERYTHING about this place... now back in the day (late 70's) my mom used to call it the "dirty diner" and I can tell you for certain, it is anything BUT. They keep this place clean and well maintained and it's a joy to visit. Solid diner food, you couldn't ask for better and decent prices along with people who treat you like you're there every morning for coffee and a roll. I still don't understand the Chili-Applebee-Friday set, the people who love their garbage chain 'food'... but here you get food that tastes like it was made by someone who really truly loves you... probably better than your mom's and it is always worth stopping. Please shop/eat/support real local business, it will always be worth it. In this case, you don't sacrifice ANYTHING for eating here, you get great food, you get treated like you belong and at a decent price, too.“
