“We've lived in Bayville since 2015 and tonight we tried the Trenton pie from Shady Rest for the first time. How did it take us nearly 9 years to find the best pizza in the area? The thin, crispy crust. The generous and flavorful sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Hot and fresh, right from the oven. We will be ordering so often you'll think we are making up for lost time. Thank you, Shady Rest. Please don't change a thing.“

“So today I am at MJ‘s restaurant, bar and Grill in Bayville, New Jersey for lunch with a friend. This building is located right on the bay, on a clear day. It would’ve been much prettier, but heavy ground fog was hanging around everywhere.I had never been here before and told the sushi was the best in that area so me and my friend Bob decided to go there for lunch. He had been there many times and highly recommended it. The only issue was that the sushi part doesn’t open until 4 PM and it was just noon when we got there.So it ended up being a really nice hamburger for me, and chicken wings for Bob, which looked absolutely great, and he says they are very good there.The service is stuck out the young man who is the server was on the spot didn’t bother us. We were there for three hours, talking and catching up. It had been nearly 20 years since we had seen each other and it was amazing how we took off just as we did Back then. The atmosphere was light for a lunch crowd, so nobody was chasing us out the door for a spot, so our server came around when he thought we needed something he was perfect absolutely perfect and that would be the highlight of this meal. Cause good service is not, easy to find.Here’s a couple videos just looking around the place and a few food shots.I’m coming back for the sushi and I think the rating is going to go way up. And I can say that was the only thing that I could complain about, but if we had searched it, we would’ve known 4 o’clock with sushi hour. That was on me.Yes, I’m coming back here, not sure when but I think pretty soon I’ll add anything to this review but it was nice I can see how when that place is packed it’s pretty big and the noise level of my climb drastically but I still don’t think you’d have any problem hearing each other across the booth.Give it a try, I recommended, and that’s only by having a burger but man and wings look good. “The cheesesteaks were delicious, but I wished I noticed the disgusting fan that was above the ordering counter before I ate there. The fan is full of so much thick dust that I felt sick after eating there. Makes you wonder if the kitchen is really clean.“

“Came here for a quick, Sunday homestyle breakfast and was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere is unique, to say the least, but also gives a lot to start conversations amongst the table. Serving portions were superb and food was very tasty. I have seen other comments and reviews that were very negative and nasty, but everybody can have a bad day once in a while. They were complaining on the service and owner/waiter being rude and yelling. I've seen more positive ratings than negative ones. While not everybody has the same humor, people can definitely be some Debbie downers. All in all, we had a nice experience and enjoyed the food. Ihop who?? Lol will def be back!!!“

“Loveeeee this diner. Came from Tom's River passing like 10 diners along the way but the reviews were so tempting I had to try. Totally worth it. The place is jumpin like diners all once were. The entire staff from start to finish were all fast paced and pleasant. We had mozzarella sticks, French onion soup, turkey dinner, chicken Marsala, and a breakfast sandwich. The only part of my experience was we were leaving for vacation the next morning so I couldn't take home my leftovers and the portions were so great I could have made another 2 meals out of them. But now that I'm home we can't wait to go back.“

“At my visit to the Band Wagon Diner, the service I got was 100x better than what I expected. The waitress was extremely kind and provided really amazing service. This is truly a hidden gem of a restaurant! The food came out fast and was mouthwateringly delicious. I got the Chopped Sirloin w/onions, which is a Wednesday special. Not only was it just a steak it came with soup, salad, mashed potatoes, spinach/rice mix, and a dessert where I picked their rice pudding. The ambiance of the restaurant was sleek and modern with very nice, extremely clean restrooms. Overall, there was amazing service, atmosphere, and bathrooms. “First time picking up food from the Fire Pit Grill, won’t be the last time. My husband and I met Steve (the owner) who was an absolute delight to speak with. We ordered the Giants Platter with ribs, chicken, garlic shrimp, fried plantains and rice. It was delicious and the portion was large enough for the both of us. My husband said it tasted like a home cooked meal. Fair prices. Highly recommend this restaurant!“

The space was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the whole experience was so comforting and beautiful. Everyone loved the food, especially the meatballs, they even made delicious vegan dishes for some our guests! They went out of their way to be as accommodating as possible for us, which was more than we could ask for. If you are looking to have a beautifully quaint and affordable wedding reception, Artisan's is the place for it! We would like to thank everyone at Artisan's who helped make our special day wonderful! We can't wait to come back for our wedding anniversary dinner this year. They keep this place clean and well maintained and it's a joy to visit. I still don't understand the Chili-Applebee-Friday set, the people who love their garbage chain 'food'... but here you get food that tastes like it was made by someone who really truly loves you... probably better than your mom's and it is always worth stopping. Please shop/eat/support real local business, it will always be worth it. In this case, you don't sacrifice ANYTHING for eating here, you get great food, you get treated like you belong and at a decent price, too.“

We haven't tried the pizza yet but it looks amazing. Only off-putting thing to us is that there's ricotta on the chicken parm pizza which imo is just icky. You don't put it in the dish or the sandwich so why on the pizza? But it's ok. Just say the word and they won't put it on. That will most likely be how we roll. Can't wait to try it!“

“We (a party of 4) had dinner last Thursday (3-7-24). We decide to select our dinner choices from the fixed-price menu being offered that evening. EVERYTHING was wonderful. In reading the other reviews, they truly reflect our own dining experience. This is going to sound a little weird, but I have found this to be true. If the restaurant proprietor (as in this case) provides a restroom facility that goes beyond just clean and tidy, I believe the same attention to detail carries over to every aspect of the restaurant, from food preparation to presentation. Truth be told, I used the facility early in the evening. I can’t speak to what it may look like at the end of a busy summer Saturday service, but its condition would reflect more on the customer comportment. Final note, I’m about an hour away, but it is well worth the drive. GREAT RESTAURANT!“

“My family and I absolutely LOVE Mimmos Pizzaria. Anything you order is out of this world!I order things like mozzarella sticks just to get a little cup of the sauce. It is so darn good! One of my favorite items to get is the garlic knot grilled chicken with red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. I think we have tried just about all of their pizzas and I can't pick a favorite on that so can't answer that question. Ha ha ha very clean, very friendly. The staff is always on it. This is one of those businesses that genuinely care about their customers...one quick story on how good they are as people in general, my father-in-law passed away Christmas Eve a few days later..two trays of food showed up at my house that we did not order, we couldn't figure out where it came from. No one was claiming it & it wasn't paid for. It was fairly pricey, but Mimmo( the owner) refused to let us pay for it! He gave us the two trays of food, and asked nothing in return! This is why family owned small businesses are what should be running this world instead of large corporations that don't care. They will always be our number one Pizzaria. Best around!
