“I am a Gringo, but kind of an expert with Mexican Food. And my Spouse is from Mexico.

We ate here today, Monday, 10/14/24, around 4:00 p.m., it was our first visit.
The food was awesome!
We each had Enchiladas De Mole Oaxaqueño con Pollo ( Chicken ) comes with rice and beans on the side.
The chicken was tender,the Mexican rice was fresh and excellent, the beans were good. The side of Salsa Picante ordered specially, was great on the rice. The most delicious item was the Mole Oaxaquena; dark, rich, and with some spice!!! Also had a side of Guacamole that was fresh and very good! Orchata was good.
The tortillas are handmade! Prices were very fair and the place is BYOB. I would recommend this establishment for an authentic Mexican meal!!! Most Especially…..the Mole Oaxaquena!!!
Atmosphere and Decor was okay. The servers were friendly and efficient!
As with most places, bathroom could have been a little cleaner.“

“I’m about a month behind on this review but I love this restaurant! The food is always good and we always get great service. I ordered two Caja Loca packs and some extra stuff for my husband’s birthday back in August. I came by the day before and paid for it all, told them when I needed it, and it was super easy to take care of. I came by the next day and it was hot and ready for us. They were very sweet and the food was incredible. And it fed a bunch of us! Love El Pollito Loco and their staff. Thanks for making my husband’s birthday special. You guys are great!“

“Authentic Mexican food. I had the chili Relleno which was delicious. The chilequiles verde con carne were a very light green that I have never seen before but they were not lacking in flavor....they were pretty good. The tamales were a bit dry however. Last time we had tacos al pastor which were delicious. The owners are very nice and friendly. A nice find. They only have 4 tables inside. They do mostly takeout...but both times we ate in and noticed alot of repeat customers and the owners greeting them. Nice customer interaction. I will go back and continue to try new things!“

“My wife and I hired them to do a food truck for after our wedding reception. 15/10 decision. The tacos were incredible esp the General Tso chicken and the bang shrimp tacos. Plus the leftovers that weren't served at the reception hall made great afterparty food. “I tried a quick lunch at Surf Tacos in Manasquan. Cool place, clean with a beachy vibe and interior. Service was prompt, which is always good. I ordered the $15 plate with 2 tacos, chips, beans, rice, and a drink that is a substantial meal. Opted for a Mahi and a Surf (breaded cod) taco to mix it up. They have a nice salsa bar, and I tried a little of them all. Drink offers soda or a tea dispenser.
The Cod taco was heavily breaded and not very tasty. Salsa helped. The Mahi was blackened and offered plenty of taste. I'd order it again.
Overall, I was pleased with this taco combo as a lunch option. Service and restaurant were nice, I'll visit again.“
