“Spending our last night in town on a trip from Alabama, my husband, son and I were looking for somewhere close to the motel where the guys could grab a beer and maybe get some aps before we went in for the night. This place had a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We soon found out the kitchen had closed this Sunday night but a great lady, night manager Kimberly felt bad for us not being able to eat a bite, came over personally, offering some options of things she could put together for us. She soon came up with some guacamole dip in a taco salad shell for the guys and an awesome french onion soup for me. We'll never forget the great service we experienced there at the Flying Pig. They are definately 5 star!“

“Went to jimmy’s one more time before the transition over to B2 to watch the football games. You used to have the football package with all of the games. This year you did not (not a big deal). That wasn’t the issue. The issue was the service we received from your bar tender. We asked if she would be able to put on a requested game. She said she could not. She was rude basically wanted nothing to do with us once we said politely that we would be leaving. You have 10 or so TVs. If you’re a football buff - go elsewhere on Sundays!“

“Recently went there with a group of 8 guys. The bartender (Princess) Diana was phenomenal! She couldn't do enough for us. Extremely energetic, nice and accommodating. Food was delicious (garlic parm wings, honey hot wings, fries and mini panzerattis). Snuck a piece of my buddies cheesesteak and I'm glad I did! Highly recommend Gleasons.“

“This really is one of Trenton's best kept secrets and I do not go enough. On Thursday night you pay $5 for cover entry to blues jam and really jazz jam that comes with a small food treat. Enjoy a drink or two and world class music. The cover is $20 on Saturday with more extensive food options.
Vegetarian options: This is not a spot for choice. There is one meal, classic, that usually has vegetarian salad. Otherwise, this is not the day.“

“Fantastic menu! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The menu prices were very reasonable. We ordered the Shrimp Croquetas and they were delicious and enough for our table of 4. The Artisanal Plate which was exceptional. The chicken empanadas were the best I've had. The Paella was out of this world! The best flavored Paella I've had, filled with fresh seafood. This place serves great mixed drinks and the menu has something for everyone.“

“I'm one of the cooks. I'd just like to say, this is one of the few places I've worked where I still enjoy my job. From the bar tenders, to the owners, the other cooks, and the manager. They make you feel at home when you come in. Although, I did see a review about a cook stirring chili with a cig in their mouth..... We don't even serve chili“

“Cute, cozy place. A hidden gem in yardley I had somehow never heard of. I don't think there's any food so it's a good place to stop before ir after going somewhere else for dinner. Keep in mind this place is small! A handful of people will fill it.“

“Great food and great drinks.“
“This is a dive not in the certain specific decor since, but in that it is a small spot to grab drinks on the cheap. And that being said, this is a nice spot to grab a drink on the cheap. However, they do not have food, they just have menus for you to order food to them. So if you're looking for a lunch spot, this is not it. If you're looking for a nice friendly local watering hole, not a bad spot to enjoy a gently priced beer and chat with the regulars.“
“Great time, great drinks, great company.“

“The food here is excellent, without a doubt never had a bad meal. We recently had a small wedding here (50 people) and not only was the food great, but so was the staff and location. From booking to the date itself, everything was smooth and professional. The staff was on top and attentive to everything without being pushy or in the way. The place is always clean and has a nice atmosphere to boot. Highly recommend.“

“Very mature crowd when I attended. DJ was really good, interactive, and had great energy. Everyone raved over the fried chicken and fried shrimp. The drinks were very well mixed. Great barmaid, Renee made sure we were good all night. Tee was just as good. Great job, Al Lee's. I would definitely visit again“

“Had a fabulous lunch date today at Vault. Didn't know what to expect walking in for the first time but the atmosphere was friendly and fun. The Bee Sting pizza was out of this world and the Red Velvet Espresso Martini was yummy!! Will definitely be back!!“
“Met a friend for a quick drink before dinner. Nice neighborhood spot to do just that. I don't have much more experience with this spot but I liked that there are a couple tables outfront, they had the game on inside for entertainment and there is a post mailbox out front. Great excuse to go mail those holiday cards.“

“What can I say. This is a hidden gems. Really good food. There cream of crab and French onion soup are best I've had. There roast pork sandwich and wings always hits the spot. The bartender Kelli is the best. The staff here are great and very friendly. Highly recommend“
“totally agree with the establishment response to someone who clearly did not read the opening hours for the place and then decided to leave a review because SHE was inconvenienced. Really? How about you plan your trip, go read the opening hours, and not put the establishment on the spot because of YOUR ignorance. Buzz bar has been around for a long time. They have adapted to the neighborhood norms and they have good items on tap as well as in the kitchen that is accommodating TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD. So, if you want to find a place that serves truffled cheese under glas with pierdziu sauce, THIS is not a place, even IF you want to SAVE MONEY. I lived in Mercer all my life. I really applaud any bar owner in TOP ROAD who wants to make a name for themselves and sells a SOLID PRODUCT for CHEAP. God bless! This is what Top Road USED TO BE LIKE years ago, like Queens, bar for the locals who want a honest shot and beer. God bless! When I get there, I am going to have my GREAT TIME even if I am listening to the music BY MYSELF GETTING GOOD DRINKS and I will be friendly and courteous guest. Best wishes, Wanda (pronounced Van DAH)“

“My husband and I had dinner at the Yardville Inn Restaurant & Tavern to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time at the Yardville Inn. We walked in around 5pm on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that few tables were occupied on the restaurant side of the establishment. We were immediately greeted by our server, Megan, who seated us and immediately took our drink order. I ordered a Kamikaze but there was some confusion and I was served a Cosmopolitan instead. I didn't even have a chance to say anything about the mix-up because the bartender (blonde haired woman whose name I didn't catch) came to our table to ask how I liked the martini. I explained that I had ordered a Kamikaze and she immediately took the Cosmo and came back a few minutes later with a Kamikaze which was perfectly made. Just 2 of those and I was feeling a bit tipsy.?
For our appetizer, we shared an order of fried calamari which was lightly battered and fried, sautéed with hot peppers and served with a side of Marinara sauce. The portion was very generous and too much for the 2 of us to finish! I loved their use of hot pepper with the calamari. It wasn't overwhelming but gave it just enough "kick".
For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Italiano (roasted red peppers & spinach in a garlic white wine sauce with mozzarella over penne pasta) which was delicious and served as a large portion! My husband had the Yardville Chicken sautéed with asparagus and lump crabmeat in a brandy cream sauce over angel hair pasta.
We couldn't finish our meals. In fact, we barely ate half of what was on our dinner plates. We took the leftovers home and our sons, age 18 & 20, had it for their dinner. Both said the food was delicious! We didn't have room for dessert, but hopefully we will get to try it the next time around.
I would definitely recommend the Yardville Inn Restaurant & Tavern to anyone looking to eat a good meal or have a few drinks at a historic establishment with great service! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive to our needs.
Cost...reasonably priced dinner and drinks. Kamikaze cocktails were $12 each. The bill came to $98 which covered 2 chicken entrées (came with soup or salad), 1 appetizer (fried calamari), 2 cocktails, 1 Shirley Temple, & 1 Pepsi. Not bad for a birthday dinner!?“
