“Words can't describe how good this place is. I drive 1.5 hours just to eat here. I've been to hundreds of restaurants, and Spanos is the only one I have ever been to that consistently provides the best hospitality. Chef Joe Spanos greets every table with a warm smile and some house appetizers. The food is out of this world... can't wait to come back again this summer!“

“I love this place. Sitting by it self away from the hustle and bustle from long branch shopping center, Rooney’s is king of oceanfront dining any season. We went in April, it’s awesome to have dinner indoors during winter months watching the ocean. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and upscale. The bar is huge. The angry lobster and char grilled oysters is a must try. My seven year old loved it. That alone tells you something. The drinks are awesome, service is impeccable. My personal shore fave❤️.“

“Always delicious! Everything truly is. The sangria was so flavorful. We had their shrimp appetizer, chorizo (not fatty )and fried calamari (cooked to perfection). It was a large party, maybe 75 people. They had food that just kept coming family style. All delicious. If you like flan this is the place to go!“

“Stumbled upon this restaurant on Open Table and so glad we did! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Dominick and Nikki, the owners were so hospitable we felt like we were guests in their home. They are very proud owners and should be. The food was excellent and portion sizes were plentiful. We happen to be there on a Thursday night so we were lucky enough to be entertained by a wonderful singer. A little pricey but it's a BYOB. Will definitely return and bring our friends.“

“I was so impressed with The Squire, I had to write my very first review of a venue. On April 20, 2024, I held my daughter-in-law’s baby shower at The Squire at Branches in West Long Branch. NJ.My daughter-in-law saw an Instagram post on the restaurant, and we decided to schedule an appointment, as pictures can be deceiving. The venue was really very pretty. I always check out the restrooms in a restaurant or venue before making a decision – The Squires’ rest rooms were exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed with designer soap pumps and lotion and nice hand towels. We chose to have the shower on the restaurant side. The lobby was so lovely with a place for guests to take photos, a place for the welcome sign and seating chart / cards, etc. before entering the reception room for the shower. Artificial flowers hung from the ceiling giving it a soft elegant appearance. Each of the windows was adorn with flowers and candles as was the fireplace. Gorgeous room!We chose the Breakfast Brunch Menu for our guests. Although their Brunch menu is extensive, I chose to add an Omelet Station and an extra Hot Station. I probably didn't have to add anything extra as there was a lot of food! The presentation of all the stations, cold and hot, was exceptional! My guests kept raving about the food. Several went back for second and third helpings.I was told there would be a screen behind the hot station tables to hide any tables and chairs not in use. This was not just a plain old screen or room divider. It was a beautifully detailed wall that matched the other walls in the room. Again gorgeous! The sales manager, Stacie, was a pleasure to work with, and let’s not forget about the bartender and wait staff ladies. So very professional, helpful, and accommodating. Knowing that I was busy with my guests and activities, the staff was very attentive, always checking with me to see if I needed anything.I only wish I knew about The Squire at Branches before this year. Without a doubt, I would have held my other parties here too.“

“This is a lovely spot! You'd think it's mostly for the summer with the ceviches, but they have all sorts of tasty hot dishes perfect for all year round. We had the grilled shrimp entree and a seafood stew -- it was so warm, hearty, and delicious! I'd come back again in a heartbeat.“

“I love Daniel's Bistro. Have been going for years, and most recently about a month ago, and it was perfect. It has great vibe, staff is personable, it was a group of five so we ordered a lot of appetizers and desserts, too. Will be back again soon.“

“We came here on a Saturday night with a reservation for a group of 6. You enter through the pizza shop to get to the dining room and were promptly seated. Our server was excellent! She was very polite, friendly, did not mind repeating herself and was very patient with the elderly members of our group. The food was delicious, the portions were huge and everyone enjoyed their selection. Found a new gem with great prices plus BYOB. Only downside is the dining room gets a little loud. But we will definitely go back!“

“This family owned franchise location goes above and beyond with there customer service and there attention to detail when it comes to your dining experience, from the bread and olive oil in the beginning of your meal to the amazing desserts and cocktails at the end. The cozy old school atmosphere is the best, compared to all the other restaurants in its class that follow the new look of modern plain themed dining. Highly recommend the seafood here as it is literally handpicked by the owner meticulously for your pleasure.“

“Fabulously romantic restaurant. White table clothes. Romantic music. Small cozy restaurant. Food is fabulous. Valet parking. I can't say enough wonderful things about the place. So glad we discovered it. This is truly a hidden gem. My husband was thrilled they carry Blanton's bourbon. Very classy. Very elegant. The halibut covered in cream and lump crab was amazing. The drinks were fabulous. The wine was our favorite. The Italian cheesecake was light and fluffy. The decaf cappuccino was the best we have ever had and it was wonderfully super hot. Just the best!“

“We had lunch for the first time here recently, ordering lobster bisque soup, edamame, seaweed salad, and a handful of rolls. The soup was savory and fresh and brothy with lots of fresh lobster chunks. Edamame and seaweed salad were great. As for the rolls, some things that we enjoyed were the following; rolls were not overly huge or sloppy, but nor were they skimpy. Perfect size, for what I like. Not too saucy. The spicy tuna had the texture and taste that I love. What sets the sushi apart from other establishments is the freshness. For example, one roll topped with lobster was so fresh. I don't think I ever had sushi with such a fresh tasting lobster on top. We will be back this summer and update our review. We went open opening on a colder May Saturday morning and were seated right away. The staff and waitress were pleasant. Plenty of parking.“

“Picked up 2 - Feast of the 7 Fishes for Christmas Eve, and my family and I ate like kings!! One traditional and one lemon garlic, prepared with Pinot and just so easy to cook using the QR code right on the side of the pot! Would recommend The Boiling Point for big or small gatherings. Their deserts are great, too!“

“Wonderful meal at Half Moon Point-the food was delicious and served very promptly. The servers were terrific, considering it was a busy Saturday night! As others have said, parking is tricky, and the noise level is well beyond my comfort zone. I would recommend though, and will try it at a potentially quieter time.“

“Go Back In Time… (and I mean waaaay back) when every single bite of food, explodes with natural flavor, not spices but the genuine homemade tastes like Nonna made!Even the atmosphere brought me back decades; we walked in and were greeted by the owner with such warmth. I instantly felt like I knew him (though to be clear, I don’t). And I hope you can understand it) this is his kitchen, that he opens up to you, with love. The place- is like his home, like a big dining room. You’ll instantly feel at home, like family. He makes everything EVERYTHING from scratch and you can taste it!I had The BEST Pizza of my life! AndI had stuffed rigatoni in vodka sauce , my eyes rolled back in my head! There was so much but it was outta this world! You gotta go!Vegetarian options: There’s tons to choose from. They’ll make what you wantKid-friendliness: It’s very family friendly“

“Very good dinner last night. Here are my bullet points:- I don’t understand why they have Farm To Table in their name. There is no mention of any locally sourced ingredients on the menu or in the waitress’ presentation. Seems like a marketing thing. Just interesting.- Apps were delish and huge portions. We had the Brussels and Shrimp & Chorizo. TBH, the two of us were pretty full after apps and bread!- For dinner, we had the brick chicken and the scallops. I rarely order chicken at a restaurant, but this was very unique and tasty (and again, big portion). Scallops were perfectly cooked and succulent.- We were too full to have coffee or dessert- Service was good. Although they seemed a bit understaffed, as our waitress seemed to be constantly rushing around.- Prices were a bit higher than expected. But not a deal-breaker. Overall good value ??Catherine’s is definitely a solid addition to the Southern Monmouth / Northern Ocean County dining scene. Check it out!“

“BEST lobster outside Maine & I've Summered in Maine since 1961. I only order the Connecticut roll, warm, dripping with large buttery pieces of claw & chopped tail on a traditional soft lobster roll. Delicious! Better flavor, fresher than lobster at the shore's best known seafood restaurants. And a few $ cheaper. I tried the mac & cheese w/ lobster once but frankly, lobster is way too delicate to drown in that sandwich, but it was a noble sandwich for fans. I stick to exactly 1 thing now: 5 stars for their CT lobster roll at Cousins truck, Brick, NJ.“

“Amelia's is a beautiful restaurant with amazing ambience. We sat on the sun porch. The nice white table cloths and table settings were soothing. The food was wonderful. I had Shrimp Oreganata and my wife had Barelli's Chicken. Both were delicious. The wine selection was adequate but I thought a bit pricey for most folks. Overall we enjoyed our time there.“

“This is our 4th time there. First time with original owner back on. Always first rate. Had the elk rack with braised cabbage. Absolutely stellar. My wife had the classic double cut pork chop. We love this place. Our waitress Bridget was phenomenal. So nice & pleasant and a pleasure!! She’s awesome.“
“Fresh, delicious seafood for a fair price. Friendly service and good recommendations. A hidden gem amongst the locals. $54 got us 6 long neck clams, 6 coconut fried shrimp, large crab cake, cup of New England clam chowder, side of coleslaw and lobster roll. My only critique is the red pepper in the lobster roll was a little forward. Clams were very fresh and crab cake was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.“

“Shipwreck is always excellent, but last night it was truly magical...the clam chowder was a knockout, the halibut was somehow even tastier than we remembered...everything we ordered was delectable and all servers were extra warm and caring...I feel sorry for restaurants in Central NJ attempting to compete - believe me we've tried MANY and most pale in comparison!“

“Had a great second visit to Sea Grass! As mentioned in other reviews this restaurant is BYOB, so we started with our wine (which they nicely brought an ice bucket for) and the oyster special. My boyfriend really appreciated how the oysters weren't overly salty and the pear glaze added a good flavor. Since we had such a large appetizer, we decided to split the halibut for our entree. We were pleasantly surprised when our waitress brought out two plates, pre-split for us. The halibut had a nice herb crust and was served over lobster risotto (and they definitely did not skimp on the lobster!!). Overall, lovely dining experience!“

“Made a reservation at spring lake seafood for date night. It has a cute nautical vibe. I could see them being insanely busy during the summer. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. We got the tuna pizza - amazing. The sushi was so fresh. I also ordered the ricotta cavatelli - perfectly spicy. Ugh so good. If you're craving seafood, this is a definite place to try.“

“You will not ever have a better flounder sandwich on rye bread anywhere. Only warning is that if you get it to go, the bread will get soggy from the coleslaw side so I recommend separating the sides. The absolute best flounder sandwich anywhere.“

“Good food, good service, even in the off season. I come here as often as I can with a friend of mine who lives in the area. It's become something of a tradition. The crab dip to start with is phenomenal, and it is also a fish market in the back. If buying and cooking fish isn't your thing, then the BYOB restaurant might be more of your thing. I love that the shore has places like this. We started off with the buffalo shrimp, the seafood risotto special, and the fried calamari. When a place also serves the tentacles is a good sign. Entrees were the surf and turf and the Alaskan King Crab dinner. I also recommend the clam pot dinner. Mangia! Buy some extra crab dip in the back on your way out. If you come during the summer season expect a wait, but it is worth it.“

“Found this local gem a few years back by accident while traveling for work and loved it. Well, back after a year and the place got a much deserved makeover inside and out - Food is still great - brought friends who enjoyed the onion soup and the chicken and fish française. Fish oreganata was also well prepared. Very large local bar crowd. Nick is still a wonderful host. Get there before 6 or the place fills up! Enjoy!“

“The food is outstanding. Ate here for the 1st time and we were amazed at how great and fresh the food is. Definitely highly recommend to everyone. We got the lobster, but I ordered the tacos because you get more for the same price and I have to say the salsa that's made fresh is great and the fresh chips are the best I have ever had in my life. Well worth the money and will definitely be returning. My only issue is the seating area is tight and separate from the kitchen, which the poor servers have to go in and out of the doors to get the food and not a good set up.“

“Went with my husband today, he had the crab cake sandwich with house cut fries, both were delicious. I had the blackened shrimp poke bowl. First time I had a poke bowl and it will definitely will not be my last. I only gave the atmosphere a 4 star because it was super loud inside and I basically yelled the entire time to talk. We had Victoria as our server and she was an excellent one at that. Prompt and extremely pleasant. We will go back again to try something else and hopefully have her again as our server.“

“First visit for table of four-Red Snapper, Pork chop special x2and Rigatoni special absolutely fabulous. Yes the meatballs are out of this world! Two gentle suggestions if I may, serve the Zabaglione/berries in a parfait glass not a dinner plate. Table was extremely wobbly, our waitress handed us two shims to crawl under table to fix! Would have been more appropriate for the two young male busboys to do.“
