“My wife and I recently moved into the Brick area, and I pass the restaurant weekly. In doing some research<, I saw that they have a very interesting menu and several specials on Monday nights. My daughter and granddaughter were here visiting with us, so we gave it a try. Service, food, server and music were great. Will definitely be back.“
“I am updating my latest review. We have since been to The Windward twice and both times have been markedly improved since over the summertime. Both times we were seated within a reasonable time. Waitress came to the table within a few minutes and was both attentive and treated us like family instead of aged customers.Drinks ordered and served immediately. Dinner ordered and served quickly. We both ordered hot open sandwiches which were served within 10-15 minutes. They were very tasty and we enjoyed every bite.“
“Shout out to Anthony (manager). Had lunch with my mom and niece yesterday and while there was nothing wrong with my mother’s lunch, it was not what she expected. Our waitress Brianna (who is amazing) mentioned it to Anthony and he came to our table and was unbelievably apologetic and brought out another lunch entree himself.“
“Last night was my first time coming here and I’ll definitely be back. We were a party of 9 for girls night and ended up in a beautiful secluded room. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the service and food were both excellent! I highly recommend if you have a larger party like we did. Can’t wait to come back with my husband!“
“We had an amazing experience dining at Charlie's. The service staff is extremely professional - best we've experienced in years, especially our waiter - wish we caught his name all we know is he's Brazilian, been there for 4 years, and is very proud to work there. Owners: Give that man a Gold Star. Our meal was fantastic. Very good tuna and salmon, cooked exactly as ordered and plated/served beautifully. No shrinkflation here, the portions are generous so lay off the bread basket if you can. The desert, a dark chocolate and choc mousse masterpiece, was the best desert I've had in my 6 decades of living, no exaggeration. We will definitely return to Charlie's!“
“One of my fav places to enjoy seafood with a view. Ducks, swans, boats going in & out right outside the windows with lots of great seafood and drink options. Sure, it's crowded in warmer weather, and a little loud due to low ceilings, but it's a classic Jersey shore restaurant with great staff and delicious meals. The Sunset dinners are a deal (before 5pm), so don't miss out on those! Been going here for years, and even though we live about an hour away, will take the drive even on a weeknight to dine here, that's how much we love it. Small lot, but they will park your car in other lots if there's no spots left. Just Go and enjoy!“
“I grew up coming here and haven't been in years. The food hasn't changed and it was really enjoyable. Extensive menu for an Irish pub and it was all good. Kids menu was good. The Reuben was my favorite. The service was good and the ambience was an authentic Irish pub flare.“
“We recently hosted my husband's 50th Birthday at the Elbow Room and it was amazing. The staff was incredible along with the food and ambiance. The staff ensured that every single detail was handled perfectly from start to finish (even coordinated with our outside vendors). All of our guests really enjoyed themselves and we look forward to hosting more events here in the future!“
“Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.“
“I love this restaurant. I used to come with my family when I was a young girl. I live 'down the shore ' now and I still get excited visiting this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I especially love Mandy!! What an outstanding server. Thank you Squan Tavern.“
“I only had the beer so I cannot comment on the food, though...the reviews on that are fruitful and quite good.If you grew up in the Woodbridge-Metuchen-Edison area, you definitely hit up Hailey's on more than one occasion. D'Arcy's has the same vibe, just closer to the Jersey shore. "Football" scarves are in abundance, great crowd, great beer. What more could you ask for? The Irish are the best...or maybe I'm just a little biased. Slainte.“
“Great Irish pub! Nice atmosphere, dark wood, 2 levels, and fireplace on 2nd level. Wonderful menu of traditional irish fare along with irish american choices. They have fabulous Irish music sessions every Tuesday evening. Staff is great too, friendly and efficient. It's one of my favorite places to go either on a date for 2, or a family dinner.“
“So- we’re going to go to Stone Fire, but they were closed so we decided to try this.Well this was a huge win!Great little pub atmosphere. Dave the bartender was our server, which was great service.I had the Jambalaya & my fiancé had a cheeseburger, and the food was terrific! Will definitely be back!!!!!“
“Have been coming here for 20+ years since I was a kid. I swear it keeps getting better. Years ago sometimes you'd have a bad day, a rough server, food that was good but not great. That's never the case the last several years everything about this place has gotten better. I get something different every time and today's was my favorite cocktail and favorite meal.“
“On the price:value axis, this place has it going ON.The carbonara I got wasn't a true carbonara, more an Alfredo with bacon, but honestly I like my pasta saucy so no complaints here!It was delicious. Portions fabulous. For the $20 I paid, I got 2 meals of pasta. My waitress was busy AF but on point. She always glanced at me as she passed and knew what I needed and just kept the flow going. Wish I knew her name. Thank you ?Busy, vibrant, fun spot. The kind of place you walk in a stranger and walk out with a new bar buddy.“
“It's in BELMAR. Ok? The old Paul's Tavern, expanded to host up to three musical acts at once, great space and there's something for everyone!! To heck with this Lake Combover nonsense tho. Parking is definitely a pain, but it's a beach town, it's to be expected!“
“We just discovered this bar. It was recently refreshed - Clean, comfortable, and bright. Forget the old McCann's. Yay! A real happy hour - 12-6 every day. We're eating through the menu. So far, everything is excellent! We've had the wings - so fresh and hot. Quesadilla was hot and a generous portion. Shepherds pie to die for. Maryann is awesome.“
“Nice place for Mexican food. Nice large bar. Not really a traditional Mexican restaurant. Free chips are good at first but eventually have a weird metallic aftertaste, in my personal opinion. I was told it gets crowded on the weekends, but I can't confirm this. Not a bad place. Give it a try.“
“My husband and I recently moved to the area and go to Rella’s about once a week! Every dish is delicious and their service is always friendly and super! My favorite is pasta night on Wednesdays! Also their pizza is one of the best in the area. Thank you Rella’s!“
“This is a great local spot in downtown Point Beach. Went Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar to watch some bball games. The bartenders were excellent, Chicken tacos were phenomenal and huge portions. Not very big inside but great spot to have a beer and all who were working Saturday could not have been any nicer! 5 stars all around thanks Amendment 21.“
“I came on a Thursday afternoon after a long Wednesday night and let me tell you for those of you that don’t know these can be some of your toughest ratings based off physical and mental prowess. The food was stellar and the service second to none. I was just speaking with my party about what kind of burger we wanted and it came out split on the plate for us. Watching the bartender behind the bar absolutely command the grill was an experience in itself. I would suggest stopping in for 4 hours and leaving fulfilled.“
“We love this place. Have been coming here for years. Great food, especially the pizza. It has lots of seating including booths, high tops and tables. The bar is spacious and the crowd is friendly. The staff is great, no matter how crowed it is everything comes out quickly. Past night had the spinach dip that was made in a bread bowl, my new favorite appetizer, feeds two people. Plenty of parking.“
“Typical bar food, the staff are very kind and helpful. It’s small but works for the community. The wings are very good along with their fries. I wasn’t as big a fan of the sliders but to each its own. Definitely a place I would frequent.“
“Took a daytrip to Belmar and decided to check out Anchor Tavern. The bartender Lindsey was friendly and accommodating. She recommended the wings which were cooked perfectly with their house bbq. 10/10! Manager Emerald made me feel welcomed and was very pleasant to talk to. Great service, great atmosphere. I imagine the Anchor is the place to be in the summer time. Check it out!“
“For a very long time, I’m talking decades I wanted to come here and finally today I did for lunch. Very nice bar atmosphere inside with lots of tables on the outer walls for privacy.I have three videos here, but I had a combo wrap of corn, beef and pastrami. I asked for a half-and-half and it was delicious. Served hot with fries perfectly done by tentative server named Donna. This is one of those go to places, my wife had been here several times a few years ago and was extremely happy with the food and I see why. My friend had surf and turf scallops on top of steak bites pieces which look perfectly cooked to me he asked for medium. It is actually an appetizer, but it’s a sizable enough meal for most people.I can’t find faults and I love when I can’t find faults.A warning getting into the miracle pub is pretty tough from Route 37 eastbound there’s really only one way in from that direction and it’s in a small strip mall That you need to carefully navigate because it’s narrow to get to the miracle pub parking area. Tops drive 5 mph in this narrow parking lot that runs parallel with route 37 you have to slow way down for it.The best way is to take the jug handle off of 37 that goes to Lakehurst Road, which is right in front of the miracle pub and the circle wraps around miracle pub and you come from behind the building where there is some odd angle parking, I would not want to come out at midnight, fearing another faced customer smack into my car. Find a safe place back there where your car is protected from other cars just a suggestion, but especially at night it’s wacky parking lot that is almost U-shaped but small.it’s a pub atmosphere with music you could hear yourself sing at the table. It was comfortably loud. What was nice a manager or owner I don’t know, came over just to say hello not bother us one bit just to see if everything was OK and he came back to do the same. It’s touches like that. It really make you go back to somewhere and I will be back back. Nice size menu so Check out their website.I also have the men’s room here on video, that was sadly heavy uterine smell, as small as it is I still think they could keep us better smelling bathroom, but it was clean. I didn’t see any stains anywhere which is a thumbs up but they need better ventilation or some good deodorants. . It is very tiny as a galley style men’s room. Did not see a lock on the door, but it did have a partition where no one could actually see you at the urinal just FYI.I love giving great reviews. It’s just not often enough, but this one here is a great review. If you like my reviews, I hope that you thumbs me up or whatever you do here lol. Thanks.“
“Went with my husband today, he had the crab cake sandwich with house cut fries, both were delicious. I had the blackened shrimp poke bowl. First time I had a poke bowl and it will definitely will not be my last. I only gave the atmosphere a 4 star because it was super loud inside and I basically yelled the entire time to talk. We had Victoria as our server and she was an excellent one at that. Prompt and extremely pleasant. We will go back again to try something else and hopefully have her again as our server.“
“I have been going to this restaurant for a number of years. The staff is always lovely. Very well trained and kind. The food is superb. Always cooked well and delicious. The fireplace room is my favorite. The live music is always tasteful. Really a great spot!!“
“I stayed at the guest house for a month during the off season and absolutely loved it! Ross was so accommodating and his staff were all very nice and good company during my stay. The food was delicious each time I ate at the restaurant. Highly recommend renting a room at the guest house!“
“Red sangria is delicious and the Baja bowl was yummy. Love the fresh air dining and the peaceful view. Buy 1 get 1 free burgers is a good deal. Margarita pizza and coconut shrimp is great. Fun place. Especially when they have the fire pit going.“
“The food was delicious. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a laid-back meal with friends or family.“
“I've been here many times, so I'm surprised I have never written a review. Last night, I had the ahi tuna tacos because I wasn't that hungry and they do not come with any sides. My friend had the filet mignon with cheese on an English muffin which was kind of a weird combination but she said it was okay. I forget the exact titles of what my other friends ate, but there are pictures here showing their food.“
“Great dive bar with excellent bartenders. While it doesn't look like much compared to the other bars in town, it does deliver with its old style feel and more than standard drinks. You will never be disappointed or feel ripped off when ordering a drink from this place (cheap and made right).“
“I live around the corner and I am certainly grateful. The best part of Aqua Blu is the staff. Kane the bartender is a sweet angel. Speaking of angels - Mike & Juan who are servers, the absolute best. Saturday night DJ always a fun time. Have to mention Alexa too - she's awesome! Love this place, can't go wrong. Even have our family celebrations here.“
“Rods is a great spot for casual coastal dining. The food is consistently tasty, and they offer a reasonable menu of gluten-free free options for those with diet restrictions that don't leave you stuck with a basic salad or plain chicken (something not many places offer). It may not have the most eclectic menu, but there is certainly something for everyone (even kids!).The atmosphere is great for a casual date night or dinner with your family. Stop by on the weekends during warm weather to enjoy the heated deck with a delicious beverage.Overall, it's our go-to for dinner with the inlaws or a night out when I can't convince myself to cook or clean dishes .. my husband never turns down a night at Rods, ladies. ?“
“My choice was the turkey club sandwich. My husband had the California Burger. The food was really delicious. The man bartender was also the waiter. He was very pleasant. French fries were hot and we would go back. It was a quiet dinner (Tuesday).“
“Our food was great tonight but our waiter, Matthew, was incredibly rude. We had a larger party, 4 adults and 4 kids. Once we had our food, he never returned to the table and when he did he tried to rush us out and box up our food before half of us began eating.“
“Delicious food at a prime location near the beach - would highly recommend. I visited in the off season and their outdoor patio was closed but it looked like a beautiful place to hang out outdoors. The service was good but the food was even better. Their french onion soup is fantastic. We also had the chicken nachos, wings and pizza and all were delicious.Parking: It can be difficult to find parking in the summer, there is no dedicated parking for the restaurant but I imagine a lot of people just walk or bike to the location.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly place, they bring out activity sheets and crayons for kids. It’s a casual setting.“
“I love the Boathouse, I just wish that I could bring my children here, we stayed veiled and we were held back and could not go forward. Excellent food here I highly recommend it.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian menu , all of the dishes are very goodKid-friendliness: Kid friendly atmosphere“
“Great place to visit! Beautiful view of the ocean!Parking: It can be difficult to park during the summer hours. But there's plenty of parking a meter parking and along with handicap parking spots. During the summer it is outrageous to pay to park in the parking lots.Kid-friendliness: It's a fabulous place for children. Lots of rides for children and adults of all ages. Lots of live entertainment during the summer, they have stage performances for children and adults of all ages.Wheelchair accessibility: Very friendly wheelchair accessibility.“
“Food and server were EXCELLENT! Hostess on Saturday night was incredibly rude and condescending. Also not a good look for her to be chomping her gum while she's talking. As the first person I met and as nasty as she was to my guests and I we almost left. The food is as good as it was pre-Covid now so we will be back!“
“The food was delicious and our server was very sweet! The food came out quickly and the drinks were very good as well. Initially, the expected wait time was 45 mins but we were seated after about 20. The view from our table was very enjoyable and serene. I would definitely recommend coming here!“
“My absolute favorite place in Lavallette. The food is always SO good (and elevated beyond!) the ambience is great. Sitting outside in the summer is the best. They also have outdoor seating in the fall and winter with heat lamps. They offer live music a lot. They are kid friendly. Great menu options. Good cocktails, great selection of beers. The service is great. Cannot say enough good things about Castaways, a great addition to the area!“
“First time visiting here as we celebrated a long time friends' birthday. Our table of 10 were all over the board as to ordering and I didn't have the luxury of asking their thoughts on their dish. My wife and I ordered one of the specials, a broiled grouper florentine with cherry tomatoes in a butter sauce. Done just right, with an ample side of asparagus and an even larger dollop of mashed potatoes which came on a separate plate!!!!This was executed beautifully, and I have no doubt that it was the right choice. Fwiw, it's a bar, with outdoor seating, ....a real nice room on what was a beautiful night. The menu smacks of pub grub, but we were ecstatic as to our grouper dish. There is a limited entree menu and I have no doubt that the kitchen stars on any of which is on the menu or their special menu for the evening. We were there to catch the birthday girls' cousin who plays there each first and last Wednesday. Frank with his Gibson is an amazing musician who along with Tommy on saxs (soprano, tenor & baritone, along with flute) with Jerry on the congas just tore through a musical itinerary that had them covering George Benson, Carlos, War, to changing gears and doing Neil, and Dylan. They were great and not to be missed. There's so much music to be had down here, be it AP, Bradley, etc. Not many had music as what went down last night at Jacks. There were also more than a few people who were there for Frank and Tommy. Very cool place. Waitresses rock and make sure you're taken care of.“
“Sawmill is always our spot when we come back to the shore on vacation. We always come for the huge slice. We came here for my 40th birthday and had a few tables in the back. It was a great venue for a larger party of guests. The food was good, the bartenders were great too.“
“Nice place to eat. We sat outdoors near the water. I'm a big fan of clam chowder, and am always shocked when places in NJ near the shore have Manhattan clam chowder. Most places serve New England clam chowdet, but NJ isn't part of the New England area, it's in the Mid-Atlantic. This Manhattan clam chowder ranks in my top 3 now. I wish they offered a larger size. I do want to warn, my friends got liquor drinks that were $12 a piece, my soda was $3. Lots of dogs there which is a plus to me!!“
“LOVE this place! Love upstairs at Spicy! Always greeted when we walk in! Unlike many other places on the boards where nobody even acknowledges you for 15 minutes. Britney, Craig, Mike and Patrick are always friendly and quick to serve up a cold drink. Addicted to the chicken fajitas! CONSISTENTLY GOOD!!! Bathrooms are clean... great place and people! Mary at the downstairs bar deserves a shout out too! Always remembers what you like... Good music Great place. Arty and Sherry manage the place well!“
“We stopped here by chance, best place by far we stopped in at! Food was amazing, service was outstanding! The dark hair girl that started us off when we got there was on top of things, when she had to close out the guy with tattooed arms covered us just as well. They were on top of the orders and quick to make sure drinks weren’t empty and smiling and extremely pleasant the whole time. We were on the balcony and had a fantastic time and even saw the fireworks there. Spent many more hours than expected, and would definitely do it again! Can’t recommend this place enough!“
“We have so many good things to say about reef and barrel we couldn’t list them all here! From the staff to ownership every time we walk in we feel welcomed and like part of the family. It’s hard to write a review when we already hope they know how we feel. If you’re reading this spend a little time to learn a few faces and the names that go along. Thank you for always having us and we can’t wait to see you again soon!❤️ S,A,G,C“
“Ate an early lunch here on a Friday, place was not busy at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the ambiance and the food. My daughter had cheeseburger sliders, my husband had shrimp tacos and I had the fish tacos with some sort of spicy sauce. They were delicious. Minus one star because our very small unsweetened iced teas were $3 each and refills were charged. $15 on unsweetened iced tea was a tough pill to swallow when the plastic cup was overflowing with ice.“
“Only really been there late afternoon/ early evening but its pretty laid back, drinks are priced right, has a jukebox, pool table, dart board, some other ring game(?). Bartenders are friendly, on top of their game and buy back drinks. They have food, tastes good and is inexpensive. Also sell packaged goods. It's a traditional type of neighborhood bar. Relaxed.“
