“CAPE MAY: Historic Cold Spring Village is an outdoor living history museum which is open seasonally and is pet friendly, but happened to be closed when we visited in late September. The village reopens on June 15, 2024. Luckily on the property, and opened year-round, is Cold Spring Brewery, one of the most unique breweries we have ever been to! Located inside a restored beautiful barn is a tasting room full of so much character, great beer, and a friendly atmosphere. It is NJ's only non-profit brewery that helps support the village to preserve history. The awesome beertender, Bill, made some great tasting suggestions and we had a fun time drinking the Hildreth German Wheat, Cold Spring Red, Cape May Farmhouse, and Pumpkin Festival Ale. There are 15 varieties on tap including non-alcoholic options. Most importantly, leashed dogs are allowed inside and there is also a great outdoor space with firepits and peaceful views. Check their schedule for live music.“
“Son and I were in the day before Thanksgiving, even though I think they were supposed to be closed as per their website. We were all but the only ones there, definitely the only tourists. The bartender offered suggestions and was spot on with the beers he offered. I’m not sure if the others there, three people, were just regulars or the owners. We sat over three flights with good conversation between us all. The beers were excellent to put it mildly, in other words, fantastic. Thanks folks for a great experience, we’ll be returning.“
“CAPE MAY: Gusto Brewing Company is the southernmost brewery in NJ and it is pretty awesome! We met one of the owners, Zach, who is just the nicest guy and has been home brewing for years before opening the brewery. It was a quiet night, so he allowed us to come inside, but the rules are dogs must be outside. If you plan to visit, prepare to sit at their wraparound outdoor patio with nicely spaced seating and tropical plants. Check with the staff about going inside. The storefront is in a shopping center, so sitting outside has the benefit of an overhang from the building to block from weather conditions. The beer menu is a nice mix of styles and when we visited, there was a wheat/hefeweizen on-tap, which thrilled Brie's Mom because they are becoming harder to find. Veteran owned and operated and was one of our favorites spots on our trip! Very close to the Cape May Lewes Ferry too.“
“The staff, as usual did an outstanding job. The service, food, and atmosphere are fantastic. We absolutely love the live music on the weekends. The servers and management are always accommodating, pleasant and welcoming. The managers are terrific and their staff are equally as great. We always enjoy our meals and has become our favorite place to eat in Wildwood.“
“I stopped in The Brewery Thursday afternoon with a friend. We had great bartender. He made inspired recommendations for each of us. We both enjoyed 2 flights each of assorted Lagers, IPA's, Pale Ales & Seasonal Specials from his suggestions. A flight of 4 is $10 each. The are well worth it. My buddy purchased a 6 pack of Coastal Evaluation to go. It's a double IPA @ 8 % ABV. A very tasty brew.“
“The beer here is wonderful! Not only do they know what they’re doing when it comes to brewing a great beer, but they know how to make a great atmosphere at the brewery! Talking to the owner made me realize how much they care for both their brews but also the space where they have everyone come in and drink them! I HIGHLY recommend this place!“
