“This was my first time at Kings and it won’t be my last. I ordered takeout earlier today and Angela was so friendly and welcoming. I’ve never had smothered turkey chops before. “2 fish & 5 loaves were fantastic. I planned a huge going away/birthday party for my daughter when my caterer had a family emergency. Kevin and his team had catered an event at work and did an excellent job so I called him frantically 5 days before the party. Not only was he extremely accommodating, but we put together a great menu. Had fried chicken, ribs, oxtails, shrimp skewers, plantains, rice w pigeon peas, mac&cheese and corn bread. I'm cuban so wanted something w some Caribbean feel though they are not a typical Caribbean place. Oh my goodness!!! AMAZING! EVERYONE RAVED!! I have had many parties but I have never had everyone flip out over the food like this. The delivery was perfect, the food was hot and fresh. Perfection.“

“Attention African Americans. Momma's Place Soul Food Retaurant of Linden, N.J. is the place to go if you want real SOUL FOOD. This is your southern grandma's soul food. Everything there is delicious. The fried whiting was flaky and luscious, the fried chicken was succulent and juicy, the smothered pork chops were flavorful and tender, the apple pie was (made from scratch) exquisite and the pound cake was truly delectable. And... that corn bread was.... oh so good! The food is first quality and it was freshly prepared. The portions were big and the prices are really good! Everything was seasoned the way we southerners are used to it. The restaurant was clean, (the bathroom was 'bleach' clean), and on top of all this positivity, the service was friendly and attentive.
