“I first visited this deli back in the 1960s when I was in highschool. I was visiting Cherry Hill early this year and decided to pay Lou and Ann's a visit. One step inside and I was transported back in time. I recognized the aroma right away. My wife and I had their classic Italian hoagie. It was fantastic. We decided to take one of the entrees back to Richmond on our way out of town. The chicken Marsala not only survived the trip home, but it was delicious.We recently had a birthday celebration for my wife's mom, and we decided to pick up a few of the entrees to serve. We chose chicken and pork Parmesan, along with eggplant parm, chicken cacciatore and some marinara sauce. We complimented these with some real Italian pepperoni and a hunk of provolone. Everything was excellent and the portions enough for 2 people. Be sure to try the meatballs!There are a few tables where you can sit and drink in the atmosphere while enjoying an Italian hoagie or a cheesesteak. Don't forget to get a pickle too. You'll usually find Lou Jr at the counter or in the kitchen cooking up his mom's treasured Italian masterpieces.“

“Had Chick's cater my son's first birthday, and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Joe sat down with me, helped me determine how many portions we would need for the number of people in attendance, and we went through the menu and made the appropriate selections. (For 40 adults and ~15 kids, we ended up getting two cold sandwich trays and ~15 Hot Sandwiches cut down into portions). At the party, the sandwiches were the star of the show. I had a warming oven to keep the hot sandwiches warm, and even after a few hours, the bread did not lose its integrity. We had some leftovers, but not too many, and there was no shortage of folks eager to take some home. 5+ Stars to the Chick's crew for making this process seamless.“

“Hershel's East Side Deli is located near the center of the Reading Terminal Market, and was quite busy when I went, although it was Saturday around lunch time so that's to be expected. Great service across the board, was met with a smile by everyone I interacted with despite the crowds. Getting to the main attraction, the pastrami sandwich is out-of-this-world delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I originally thought the price ($17) was a bit much, but it is well worth it for the experience and the portion size was so large I easily made two full meals out of it.“

Ordered a custom sandwich of Italian specialty ingredients for a long drive. It was delicious! It was so good that the drive went better :) Added a drink, a pickle and chips. Lots of good stuff to choose from including prepared goods like chicken salad, which I can attest is very tasty. This spot is clean and organized, full to the brim with goodies. Decided to try to the steak egg and cheese bagel for breakfast and when i first opened up the sandwhich and saw the cheese oozing out i knew it was gonna be the best steak egg & cheese bagel i ever had and it was. Almost hidden in the Jewelers' Row District is a small, hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop that will have you leaving with a big impression: their hoagies are just fantastic! I ordered a 10" roast beef hoagie with lettuce, onion, tomato, hot peppers, provolone, and mayo, and almost had difficulty finishing it because the sub was packed! Everything tasted fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised that the hot peppers actually had some heat to them.Pam, who rang me up, is a very sweet person, and the shop is run by her and Joe. The owners recommend calling in to place orders as it takes some time to slice everything fresh, and today they actually sold out early afternoon as I was finishing my hoagie. “This hoagie shop delivers quality (Deitz & Watson) lunch meats with a smile! You can have your hoagie made by them, or buy the rolls and lunch meat to make your own at home. When I order my hoagie I ask her to make it the opposite way she makes others, which is the correct way to make the sandwich. For some reason she thinks the lettuce and veggies should go on first, then cheese and lunch meat. I know I won't be able to eat a whole hoagie in one sitting and I'll have to wrap half back up for later. If the lettuce is what makes contact with the bun, the hoagie will be soggy later on. For me it should be cheese, meat, lettuce and veggies (on top) in that order. Picky? I think not. I ask for this because I like her shop and I want to support her small business, she doesn't mind at all. If you want your sandwich made the conventional way, you'll have to ask.While the worker or owner are making my sandwich, I check out what she has in her store. I like to get a big pickle, chips, and rice pudding. I get the rice pudding immediately because there may only be a few and someone else might choose this popular dessert. I check her freezers for good tv dinners and for water ices. The water ice is pre-portioned and prepackaged but still yummy. It's easy to just grab one. There Are other groceries available here, so I can grab what I need quickly.The owner is super nice, I consider her my friend. They have the right size olives but I bought the ones in the cold display case which still have the pits in them ?.There was a customer already there who was friendly and made it a welcoming experience. The employees were...well...working...so no warm greeting.Since the place was recommended by a few folks, I ordered a Tonno Tuna sandwhich. It contained VERY little tuna. “I have never had a complaint about the food at Shamrock. The salads are amazing. Soups are usually good BUT there is a problem. Last week I bought 3 different kinds of homemade soups from the freezer. The chicken pastino was very good Chicken tortellini was chicken, broth & carrots no tortellini Beef rice had no rice at all, the beef was so tough could not be chewed. Each soup was labeled with the contents. I called the store to make them aware of it. I do not want a refund just an FYI The girl I spoke to said Oh I will inform the staff & said good bye. My take is she is going to ignore my call. My purpose of writing this so someone who care at the store and correct the problem. There were a lot of containers of these soups. I think you should know so not to lose customers. I have been going for years and will continue.“

Shelves feature dried mushrooms, a fantastic selection of pickled fish products, pickles, sauerkraut, fresh breads, cereals, snack foods, jams and preserves and frozen pierogis. The whole store is brightly lit, impeccably clean, abundantly stocked. I will be returning and next time I will be better prepared to use my phone to help translate so we can order some of the broad selections of head cheese and sausages. The ladies working smiled politely and seemed friendly even though our ability to communicate was hampered by a language barrier.
