“Gorgeous restaurant, great service. Joanne was our server and she was fabulous. Celebrated a birthday and they weee sure to sing for us and give us ice cream. Easily made a reservation over the phone and it was a great interaction. Beer flights were great and affordable. Only thing is that the some of the burgers were a little underdone from what we asked for, we didnt speak up because it wasn’t a big deal to us but I’m more than positive they would’ve happily corrected the issue.Berry and Brie burger pictured below“
“The tables and floor were clean. They need to do a better job at keeping the condiment containers filled. My son enjoyed his burger and fries. The fish sandwich I got was excessively piled with coleslaw, and there was more bread to it than anything else.“

“We have always enjoyed coming to Gladstone Tavern for dinner, but I can now recommend it for an event as well! We hosted a 70th birthday party for about 30 people in the upstairs room. Everything was excellent. The food and service were amazing, and Sue Farkas was wonderful to work with.“

“So I always come here when I stop in gladstone on the trains. I'm usually pressed for time between shifts (I work on the trains) I usually get the chicken cutlet that's my usual go to. Today I order a salami ham and cheese sub. So I was so disappointed when I got back to the train and than realized there was no salami on it. Usually this place is spot on food is delicious not taking away from that. Really wish she didn't mess up my order today though because I was really craving something different and it just didn't hit the spot without the salami lol.“
“I past but this place very often and it always catches my eyes, because of it's unique A-frame log cabin look. Also, that it has a sign that says 'Drive-Thru' and next to it is another sign that says 'We Sell Beer'...always shake my head and have a chuckle!! One day decided to pop in and grab a dog. The inside is a bit odd, as the outside. The interior decor is a mashup of ski log cabin, a diner, and a hot dog stand...hilarious!! The staff at the counter was friendly and patiently waited for me to decide on what I wanted...breakfast or lunch...brunch times are the toughest!! Their menu board is larger than expected, also they serve breakfast all day. So, I got the breakfast sandwich to go and a hotdog with fries and a shake to eat in. The food was ok, a little pricey for average size portions. The staff was nice as they brought the food to the table. As I was sitting there looking around, taking in the unique decor once again. Not saying it's bad, just needs a few things updated. One area I enjoyed looking at...was a display case with the owner's father U.S. Army service jacket from WWII with a couple of his medals, photos, and letters. Definitely respect and appreciated that display of that history. One day I would like to come back to help them update that display case.“

But like their hot dog with cheese and bacon 8.00 really?? For a slice of American cheese and literally 1 slice of bacon??? That was a mistake ? getting budget wise.Taste it was good but a better quality hot dog better quality cheese and maybe like 2 slices of bacon crumbled...for that price it should have a gourmet approach.The fries are delicious the burgers too but again it's the cost that always makes 5 guys our every 3 month or more treat.I definitely wouldn't get the grilled cheese.What do you think??Either way enjoy when you do have the $$ to splurge.“
“I have never seen a restaurant so clean. Kudos to them. The sandwiches were so amazing that we forgot to take pictures. Fries which Cajun spices was great as well, but it could be even better if they had fried them a little longer.Parking: The place is just across AMC. There are a lot of parking spots available.“
“We had a couple of mediocre experiences here when it was Charlie Browns, and later Bea McNally's. It's nice to see someone finally get it right in this historic and central location in Hackettstown. I had the Tavern Fish and Chips. The cod was tender and and the breading was crispy, particularly liked the tartar. The potato wedges were tasty but I might be tempted to ask for fries next time. My wife had the NY Strip, which initially put her off because it was served sliced and at first glance appeared overdone. But it proved to be perfectly cooked and extremely tender. Service was friendly and spot on. We will definitely give the Grand another try soon.“
“Apart from the fact that the food was amazing, the customer service was phenomenal!! My server was Juan, an extremely friendly young man who got us everything fast and was always attentive. Customer service is one of my biggest factors when picking a restaurant, and this IHOP in Kenvil, NJ was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. My family and I will most definitely be returning. If you happen to be dining in this fantastic establishment, ask for Juan and he won’t disappoint! Definitely a 10/10 experience for my family and I! ?“
“Feb 25,2024 I ordered for pickup a bacon cheeseburger. It was delicious it was quite large it filled the entire box. I have had burgers in many businesses in Hackettstown and this is number one. “Lakeside tavern is a great place to go! The bartenders are amazing. Michele is my favorite to visit every time I go. The line dancing every week is so much fun! It’s great when they have entertainment. They really should charge a cover charge because you’re getting a lot. I hope they continue to Linedancing every week because it’s a lot of fun and the food is amazing. The chef there does the most amazing job!“
