“This place is a gem . Don’t know why it wasn’t busy as hell when we went there because the service was great, the food was easily the best Chinese I’ve had in the city, and the portions were at least twice the size of any other place I’ve been to. Expect family style and leftovers . Orange chicken , hot and sour soup , scallion ginger shrimp and salt and pepper tofu are all perfected versions of themselves.“

“My family and I have been going here for probably over 2 decades and the food now is just as good as I remembered. This place is a small, family owned restaurant located deep in South Philly and serves amazing food. The most popular item here is the noodle soup and there are several variations on the menu. You can get the classic (pork) noodle soup (item #1 on their menu), combination of pork and some seafood (#2), egg noodles instead of rice noodles (#3-4), seafood noodle soup (#5), etc. I love this type of noodle soup because the pork based broth is so light, flavorful and comforting. Unfortunately, I don't get it very often at other Asian restaurants because it's never good anywhere else. This place does it the best and is the closest you can get to eating at someone's house. You can also order a side of fried dough to dip into the broth to soak up that yummy goodness. The spring rolls here are also very highly addictive with an insane level of crispiness. The other item I highly recommend (though my husband does not like it as much) is the beef fried with large noodles (#35). It's sliced beef and Chinese broccoli gravy over chow fun noodles and unbelievably delicious especially when paired with a drizzle of Sriracha. If you ever want to venture off the beaten path and try good, authentic Southeast Asian cuisine I'd highly recommend coming here to support this local family-owned business. I hope to come here for another 20+ years.“

“They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and as an English teacher you'd think I'd respect the old adage, but after living in Point Breeze for 10+ years I finally tried the BEST Chinese takeout in the Breeze, maybe the city. It's the little things: green beans and carrots in the Hot and Sour Soup, nice, fried orange rind in the General Taos, at a takeout joint?! Homemade fried chili flake sauce with the dumplings, word. They're on Grubhub, do it.“

“This place always delivers fresh hot food to us quickly ! They always critique our food to our liking every time with no mistakes. I can't recall ever having any issues, and we call this place usually at least once a week. I love their bourbon chicken, pork fried rice, general tsao chicken, and teriyaki chicken on a stick are some of our favorites from them. Staff is wonderful and very very polite, delivery drivers are always quick and personally thank you every time for the tip.“

Tonight's meal: Boneless ribs, Wonton soup, fries, 1 of each flavor egg rolls, fried wonton, fried crab stix & they threw in FREE a delicious order of General Tso's Chicken. LOVE GOLDEN KITCHEN!! “I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. Thank you Da Chen!! ?? ❤️Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarian and gluten free options hereParking: Da Chen has its own parking lot. It is free with plenty of space.Kid-friendliness: I have been coming here since I was an infant. Da Chen has high chairs available to use for toddlers and babies :)Wheelchair accessibility: Da Chen is wheelchair accessible, there is a ramp from the parking lot and inside the store is accessible.“

“Quick cheap tasty and my go to for rainy cold days. Takeout staples like egg foo young and general tso’s are consistently solid. I would say they also have the freshest tasting egg rolls of all the takeout spots in south Philly. The veggies on the inside actually have some texture instead of being defrosted mush. Fried rice has decent wok flavor too surprisingly. Just can’t go wrong as long as you stick to the familiar dishes.“

“I used to love this place but I went yesterday and I was just annoyed. They went up on prices, portions sized has gotten smaller, my order was wrong (which was corrected) but not before one of the workers tried to convince me to keep the wrong order. Then when I paid the girl at who works the front refused to give me my change. My food was good for the most part minus the fact my white rice was overdone and mushy to which I threw it out. I won’t be traveling from DE for their food any longer.“

“Very small neighborhood restaurant, if you want most authentic you know these places are the best. Service was great, speaks both English and Khmer. It was so cold yesterday so a nice hot bowl of Cambodian noodle soup was perfect! And of course when you can't say no to the soup but also want the dry version, do both, yum!!“

“Try all of their dishes, with their natural seasoning BEFORE adding anything like soy, duck, or mustard sauces to whatever food you've ordered. Believe me, it's already flavor-filled, while letting the natural, intended essence of the ingredients shine through. Trust & Believe..."homespunilly" delivered ?? ? ❤️??“

“Some of the reviews had me worried ... but I was needing a late lunch and sushi seemed perfect and I would be driving by the Mandarin Court. So, I pulled into the plaza and have to admit that the outside appearance made me hesitant to head in but I was already there. Just goes to show you that you can't trust outward appearances nor reviews that make one turn around from a possible wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in I was treated to outstanding and caring service! The young woman at the door welcomed me and assured me that I was not too late for the lunch specials. The gentleman waiting on me had to get up from his lunch (It was past 230 in the afternoon.) but did so with a simple smile. And as I looked around I was impressed by the elegance of the dining room and started to think about what my plans are for Chinese New Year because this certainly is an attractive dining room to bring friends to. Although the welcome was a good indicator, I knew this was going to be a very special lunch when the waiter delivered to my table both a hot pot of perfectly brewed tea and a glass of nicely chilled water. One I had made my selections a basket of "fried 'Chinese' noodles" arrived with a duck sauce and a mustard sauce. I have not had really good fried noodles in so long that I immediately began the process of devouring them. The sauces were ok on the better than average side of the scale but still ok. The lunch special gave me two rolls plus either soup or salads. I chose the miso soup and was rewarded with a bowl full of ingredients in the midst of a tasty broth. My only complaint is that the soup was luke warm and not hot but like the noodles, I finished off every single drop of soup!! The fish in each roll had that "clean fresh" taste that you absolutely expect in sushi. The bonus was the fact that this sushi chef provided me with an ample supply of pickled ginger and enough wasabi to suit my palate! In the middle of the meal the hostess stopped by to check in on me, which was a very nice touch. Other than my soup being warm ... can't think of any other criticism of what became a lovely unplanned late lunch plus since it was lunch time the meal came at a bargain price with the tea and noodles tossed in. As for my fortune cookie, which read "You should have chosen the shrimp" ... well perhaps next time I will because I am not curious about the Chinese side of the menu of this plaza-based Asian restaurant. Oh, yes ... get a more attractive window covering so that those heading towards the restaurant hurry in anticipation.“

“Best General Tso's chicken I haver ever had. And through the years I have had many different restaurants General Tso's chicken and by far, this was the best. All the takeout Chinese that I have been to, all give you two pieces of broccoli. I got at least 7-10 pieces of perfectly steamed broccoli. The chicken was cooked to perfection. My food was very fresh and delicious. The price was the cheapest, I ever paid for a large General tso's Chicken. I will come here again, and try other dishes.“
“I try to visit as many restaurants as possible at least one time. This place had decent food service was okay atmosphere was okay definitely would come back again in the future. Keep up the good work God bless to all go eagles win the super bowl.“

“I don't understand the bad reviews. Can't speak for the years old ones but I have lived near this establishment for the last 6 months and it is way better then it is portrayed on yelp. The staff is kind and hardworking. It is clean and you can see the chefs cook right behind the counter. The food is fresh and hot every time. It is classic Asian cuisine that's is made well. Nothing I've ordered from here has been bland. They don't use MSG because my wife is allergic to it and would have reacted with migraines. Ordered Mongolian beef it had good flavor and little spicyness to it. Crab Rangoon's were a surprise they had great flavor. Also wanted to comment on the fried rice. It is a broth based fried rice which could be disappointing for some. For example my wife isn't crazy about it. She prefers the soy sauce based fried rice with eggs and veggies with protein. But it doesn't mean this rice is bad. It's a simple fried rice with choice of protein and onions. Basically you will get what you order fast, fresh, and it will taste great.“

“This is my favorite place to get take out. I have a lot of food allergies and I talk to Chen and can ask questions about the ingredients to ensure they are safe for me to eat. They are friendly and accommodating. Cash only. It's better than all the card fees. I will always order food here!!!! It's delicious!!!!Vegetarian options: Bean curd (tofu) plenty of dishes have no meat and just veggies in the dishDietary restrictions: I have gluten, dairy and seafood allergies. I also do not eat beef or pork. I have never had a reaction due to a cross contamination issue. I really recommend the chicken mai fun with extra carrots and snow peasParking: Small amount of spots since it is in a strip mall but it is pretty quick. 15 minute parking for some spots. I have never had to wait for a spot. Right across from the Wawa on crown point road.“

“Consistently good food! Only ONCE in 23 years have I received a meal that wasn't something to rave about! I like spicy, had to tone it down recently cause you can't eat super spicy forever! I love spicy black bean sauce. My daughter loves pork & eggplant. Egg rolls are always good and I love hot and sour soup. Their rice is just the right sticky! Soo good! If you ever have a question just ask them, they have always accommodated me! I am moving soon and Will Definitely Miss my meals from my Favorite Restaurant!!“

“OK this is an extension of Happy Wok and they make it fresh. You want to call ahead to order, it so you don't have to sit and wait for it. they do not deliver, which is the only downfall but I'm sure you could order through DoorDash or something like that. The food is delicious and my favorite is shrimp. Szechuan shrimp very good with lots of vegetable and there's so much shrimp nice large size shrimp I think there's 10 to 12 large shrimp in it and it's enough for two dinners, full dinners very nice and rice and very good, my husband likes to get the bourbon chicken and he loves it“

“No menu, no delivery, no credit cards, no problem. Have cash or cashapp ready otherwise you're beat. But once you've paid, take the food back to your house and treat yourself to some deliciousness. Probably the best egg roll I've ever had and the rice was cooked to perfection. Oh did I mention it's cheap as hell? “Out of all the places in delco, this places without a doubt had the best sushi/sashimi. The tuna and salmon they use doesn't have an excessive amount of water in it which makes it sooo much more flavorful! I can't go anywhere else for sushi now that I've had this place. Definitely give it a try if you're in a mood for sushi.“

“Atmosphere? I gave it five stars because this is a takeout joint and rather than lower its rating because of one caveat it deserves the fifth star based on other merits. One block from my house and you know this is my go to place for that last second decision on what to eat as I am driving home from my twelve hour workday. The food holds up to many a fancy sit-down Chinese restaurant in the suburbs or in Chinatown.Although I have tried most of their dishes I find myself returning to the old standbys...Singapore Mei fun and vegetable egg foo young. Soups are also good. They are consistent in quality and Amy is always happy to take care of me.“
