“Old school diner in the best sense of the word. The food is inexpensive and hearty. The coffee is hot and abundant. The waitresses call you "hun" and seem like they've been there forever. The decore is classic diner. Loved this place in college for a good omlette after a night of drinking. And, after my recent visit, I am overjoyed to see it hasn't changed much in those 30 years.“

“This was our first time here, my sister and I choose to sit on the bar side. When we arrived it was apparently shift change, there was no hostess so we sat ourselves. After waiting for about 10 minutes my sister went up to the bar to get us drinks. The one person a petite dark haired lady was quite rude telling my sister it was shift change. We are okay with that we just wanted to get drinks after all we are in a bar. The other bar tender again I don't know her name, she had long wavy hair. She was very nice got us our drinks and a menu. Paul ended up taking care of us. He was very attentive and the rest of our experience was very good. I had the beef gyro it was very good, my sister had the patty melt it was good, but the burger did not fit the bread well. It was a big burger my suggestion would be just to smash the burger out so it fits the bread better. Overall the food and service was good and we will come back and try again.“

“To start out with Meadows Diner has a warm welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. The menu had a lot to offer, from pancakes to steaks and seafood. Our waiter was quick to take our order and was on the ball bringing us hot meals and excellent service. We absolutely love the salad bar and the desserts. The food was delicious, with generous portions. Overall a wonderful 5 star experience. We totally enjoyed our dining out date night. We will be back for breakfast..“

“Food and service was great!! Waitress' name was Debbie and she was sooooo nice! Perfect service all the way around! Very warm and comforting environment, and the food was FANTASTIC!!! Next time we visit New Jersey we will be making a special stop to eat here, but to also see our favorite waitress!Kid-friendliness: They have special kids menus, they can choose their own food, and the meals come with a lot of options for sides, they also have the choice for a scoop of ice cream after their meal so that was fun! (My child opted out of the ice cream and chose creme brulee ☺️) The kids menu also has coloring areas and tic tac toe to keep the kids busy while you order and eat! Our waitress, and another waitress who came over to talk to my daughter and compliment her hair, were very friendly, just an overall great interaction!!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps to get Inside the doors, someone to help hold the door open for you if needed, and the person holding the door is someone who is intellectually challenged so all tips they make for holding the door get donated to helping out people who are challenged that need the help! I thought that was amazing! There are also plenty of tables to sit at with wheelchair accessibility, if not I'm sure the staff would be happy to accommodate you in anyway to help!“

“???BJ???I've awarded Monarch diner the prestigious golden BJ award. This award is only given to places I would feel comfortable recommending to friends. Everything is good here, not just diner food. We've been getting fancier entrees lately, some pasta, the specials... Whatever we get it's good. The service is usually great and I appreciate the owner or manager always checking in to make sure everything is correct.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and kids menus.“

“Big place. Ample parking. Nice owner. Food is great the last couple of times! We love Larry. He makes us feel like family. I am impressed. My previous comment was based on one visit. The chicken parm, Mac and cheese, and corn bread are probably the world's best. Dessert is included with the meal.Parking: You can pull a semi truck or truck and horse trailer 40 plus parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is a ramp“

“Visiting town for a few days and family recommended the diner. Food was spot on, fast, hot, and tasty. Our server Austin was quick and gave us just enough attention. My only comment was the noise in the place. We were trying to catch up with family, and the noise just kept us from hearing each other. Other than that, a place I’d certainly come back to for a drink or good meal.Update: We enjoyed last night so much, decided to come back tonight. What a difference between servers, appetizer came out with dinner even though she asked if we wanted it first, same drink tonight was twice the price, server wouldn’t close out the ticket so had to wait in line for 20 minutes, and finally wanted 4 cookies to go, cashier refused and I needed to purchase a full pound. Well no cookies, and server got no tip.“

“If eating at diners is your thing, then The Whitman does not disappoint. I hadn’t been here since moving away, but I always like coming back to grab some good food. It’s got that diner decor and vibe. It is clean and up-to-date. Eat at the counter, booth, or table. It’s your choice. Lots of parking around. Our server and friendly and attentive. My coffee cup never got below 1/2 full. The breakfasts were plenty. All items were well prepared. Eggs done just as ordered, crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes. I appreciated that the waitress asked about peppers in the hash-browns.Overall, a great place to meet friends or bring the family, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.“

“In town to help a friend move.We didn't stop in for the first 4 days which was a mistake.Managed to make it twice before we left. Some good food and some interesting food. The first day I got an amazing chicken pot pie, which I would recommend . It had fresh vegetables and was refreshing. Ordered with a Cesar salad. The salad was just lettuce and dressing. No croutons or grated cheese. The 2nd trip I ordered MEATLOAF and a regular salad. The regular salad was much better. The meatloaf however was a puzzle. It was basically 2 slices of chopped steak with gravy. Not the kind mom used make with peppers and onions and tomato topping . So I can't recommend that.“
