“Exceptionally good beef Doner in the typical style found in Istanbul or Berlin. Tastes just like the veal hind leg meat once only sourced in genuine venues such as Yatagan of Macdougal Street.Highly recommended when one experiences that hankering for traditional doner. Only downside is that in 2024 they charge $13 USD for a wrap or gyro less than 1/3rd the size of Yatagan's $2.75 serving.At least you can have sutlac (rice pudding) for $6 instead of the $8 most other places charge these days...“

I came here from Long Island to meet with someone special who I hadn't seen in months, and it was the perfect place for us to catch up and talk and laugh together over a cup of Turkish coffee (with a complimentary Turkish delight in the side). “This is my second time eating here. First one was long time ago (I don’t live around) for Ramadan dinner. This time was for lunch. They have good soups and good pide. I had kelle paca (lamb head meat in a broth) and kusbasili pide. Both were delicious. My sons had red lentil soup and pastrami pide, they loved it. Owner and workers are very friendly and always pay attention to the table. This place is far to my home but if I pass by again definitely would stop either for eat-in or takeout.“

“Just a day ago I had a late lunch here, my NJ friend bringing me over recommending this place. I was on a short visit to NJ, having no idea about this place before. The Turkish meal that I chose ("beğendi") could be one of the best that I ever had outside of a home environment! I have some dental issues these days so I went for gyro as the meat companion to the eggplant base instead of the more traditional choice of skewered meat and the whole thing turned out to be lovely, served by a kind and attentive young lady. We had one "künefe" as a desert in the end and that was great too. I complimented them there and feel that I should do it here as well. Definitely recommended!“
“All other Turkish and Mediterranean restaurants try to imitate Dayinin Yeri, none come close. This restaurant sets the gold standard for healthy Mediterranean cuisine par excellence. I am a devote of the 333 Palisades Avenue location, although the Gorge Road location is EXCELLENT and beautiful.Dayinin Yeri is ideal for a date, group of friends (and family) or a party. I’ve done all three. Which is to say, it’s fun for a crowd or dinner for two. Love that it’s BYOB.The quality and preparation of the food is extraordinary.The Shepard Salad with fetta is perfection on a plate. The bread, special bread, lahmacun and pide are masterful. The lebni proof there is a heaven and all the all the hot and cold appetizers are fabulous. The entrees, all the kebabs, has-has, fish and combination platters are delicious and easy to share, especially good when you’ve ordered an array of appetizers.The staff is friendly and personable…as are the other patrons in the restaurant which makes it both a fun and delicious dinning experience. I always feel at home at Dayinin Yeri, and I’ve never been to Turkey.“
