“This restaurant has been my go-to spot since they opened, and I must say, the food quality has been consistently amazing and tasty. The flavors are rich, the ingredients fresh, and every bite is a delightful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious and authentic pide.“
“This is my first time trying out Uyghur. Here's a mom and pop shop that I would wholeheartedly recommend. Very kind staff and the restaurant's decor is thoughtfully done. - Samsa - very delicious. Especially with the sauce. - Manty - I don't think I've had skin this tasty before. The skin to meat filling is perfect. I imagine myself craving this in the future. - Lagman - lamb on noodles. Decent as well, but I would probably pass on this for more manty“
“My partner and I LOVE shawarma mia. We’re here at least weekly to grab a quick, healthy, and well-priced lunch! We usually grab a chicken pita on most days, but if we’re feeling especially hungry, the wrap is always more than enough. The folks who work here are so friendly and efficient. Food is so fresh and flavors are fantastic. Definitely recommend!“
“Second time to Bunny and was not disappointed. The food was even better than I remembered. A standout for me was the Garlicky Labne w/ Ras-El-Hanout carrots and chili butter. Was served with homemade, fresh out of the oven bread in a paper bag. Done right.I will say that it was a bit disappointing to only have water to drink (no non-alcoholic beverages.) Feel like I missed out on a part of the experience drinking just water.Overall, a delicious spot for a satisfying meal. Cash or Venmo only.“
“Lokanta just opened up a few months ago. I always walked by, and i decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating and is well kept. I placed an order for pick up. I went with the mixed grill entree. It was flavorful and tasted charcoal grilled, which I love. The ambiance is alright. It isn't a dimly lighted restaurant but doesn't need to be. I will stop by again and try more of their food.“
“An absolutely lovely little spot tucked away by Sunset Park, offering up delicious Turkish food at unbeatable prices with plentiful portions. The owner here provides second-to-none service. And you HAVE to get the traditionally-prepared Turkish Coffee!“
“In the heart of the city, there's a Turkish restaurant that stands out in its simplicity and the warmth of its people. It's a place where the food speaks of a rich history, a legacy of seafarers who, after months at sea, longed for hearty meals upon their return. Their cuisine evolved to be fulfilling, often rich in fats - a necessity for those harsh times.I encountered a Turkish lady there, a familiar face from another local establishment. Her presence adds an authentic touch to the place, reminding one of the genuine roots of the dishes served. Turkish cuisine, inherently rich, poses a challenge for eateries striving to adapt to healthier preferences. This restaurant, however, has nearly mastered this balance. While not entirely aligned with my palate, the food is compelling enough to keep me returning. So, in the spirit of earnest recommendation, yes, visit this Turkish spot. It's a place where simplicity and sincerity reign, offering flavors that echo a storied past, somewhat adjusted to fit our contemporary tastes.“
“We felt like we were transported to a Northwoods Wisconsin supper club. We knew the original Turk’s Inn owners. Thank you for carrying on their legacy.Loved the cheese cloud. Eclectic wine list that was a perfect complement to the cuisine. Char grilled steak and old fashioned fries were great. What we most enjoyed was the unique atmosphere and friendly staff.“
“We stopped by here because our initial plan didn't pan out and good thing because we discovered this gem! The food was on point and service was great. My only ish were the drinks. I didn't taste the requested flavor and it was more rum than what I expected. They tried to fix it though but I guess I had different expectations. It was the painkiller. The mojitos were okay but I'll leave the drinks out lol because the food was everything! Desert was on point, the mosaic and it was shareable! We had the Branzino and seafood linguini and man! Was it everything and then some. The pictures don't tell it all. The side rice and salad complemented the pan seared Branzino and the linguini was packed with a lovely variety of seafood like shrimp, calamari, salmon and tilapia. Now the pan seared Branzino was well seasoned and a lovely size. I have eaten Branzino at a few restaurants and this was top notch. Service was friendly, decent, accommodating and professional. We had a lovely time and we recommend for singles, couples and large groups! Cheers!“
“I love this place. Specially for breakfast or lunch. My favorite thing is Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, cheese gozleme and napoleon for dessert and cappuccino. I have been coming here since 2016. I like that they have an outdoor patio. Food is always coming out fast and the bread they are serving is soo delicious. Great for big groups of people, plenty of space.Parking: It is a parking on the street that is available if its empty..also it is meters there and you can pay for a parking spot, also they have a small parking on a back of the restaurant that is free.Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu and give crayons for drawing for the. Super sweet..keeps them busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Its on a first floor. Easy to access. No stairs. In the summertime you can sit outside“
“Best breakfast i had a long time ago all the plates were amazing, i highly remcimmended the eggs with tomato o cant remeber the name but we almost finished the plate. My kids really enjoy the toast also the big plate with all cheese and honey and olive was amaaaazing, the turkish coffee is greatThe staff are sooooo welcome and helpfull really they explain everything and recommend the best and it was so fast.Thank you for making this breakfast special“
“I was pleasantly surprised that this restaurant was beautiful inside and outside. The bathrooms are very modern and CLEAN! The food was tasty and pretty. Waitress was so nice they even have music and an amazing bar. This will be a regular spot for you if you love Turkish and American food.“
“Beautiful location and friendly service.Their starter bread was soft and warm.Arugula Salad - Refreshing start to the meal.Turkish Shepherd's Salad - My favorite salad from here. So flavorful!French Fries - Good quality fries.Turkish Cheese Roll - Deliciously light, crispy, and cheesy.Fried Calamari - The most tender calamari I've ever had. I didn't care much for the garlic/pine-nut sauce, but they were great without sauce anyway.Mediterranean Sea Bass - It's so nice that they have an option to debone the fish. The branzino was so fresh and meaty. Probably the freshest fish I've had in New York City.Walnut Cheesecake - It paired well with the chocolate sauce and cream that were included.Tiramisu - Rich, creamy, and subtle.Last time, we tried their Spicy Turkish Ezme Spread and Grilled Octopus. Both were amazing! I would recommend this place to any seafood lover.“
“This place is outstanding! I always get lamb plate and it never disappoints. The food is tasty, fresh and satisfying, way better than any other Turkish bistros around. One downside, the place is small and a bit of walking as it is at the end of the Sheepshead road but I always do the take out anyway so nice to “
“Yesterday afternoon I ordered a mixed Gyro . This time it wasn't over salty and it was tasted delicious. The meat and vegetables were very fresh. The service was great the food came out pretty quickly. The service staff are always pleasantly friendly. It is always clean here . The cleanliness and friendliness deserves four stars.“
“great place to eat at! first off, the staff is so attentive, any time we were out of water or needed something they were helpful. in terms of food, this place is one of my go to spots when I crave turkish food because it never fails to disappoint I love ordering the chicken shish kebab platter 10/10 and of course other appetizers! honestly their desserts are pretty good as well! the chocolate baklava is a 10/10 I would recommend haha I would definitely recommend visiting this place. honestly gives me a home like vibe each time I visit! :)“
“From the selection of food and pastries they serve I could tell that they have big Turkish influence. Which is great because I love Turkish treats. They are very informative about the ingredients in everything they serve which is very allergy / intolerants friendly. (I’m gluten free and i could find more the one option to take). The coffee with oat milk was great (the serve devocion coffee) and the tahini chocolate cookie was amazing. However i felt that the price of it was bit on the expensive side. Almost 6 dollars for a tinny cookie, is quite a lot. They have outside seating if you come with your dog ;)“
“It was amazing! I love Adana Kebab and beyti kebab. Everything is clean. I will definitely come back guys! Thank you. They give free Turkish tea , friendly workers, beautiful atmosphere..Kid-friendliness: They give candy to kidsWheelchair accessibility: You can come with wheelchair“
“We were really in the mood for Adana Kebab and this place did justice. We also ordered the chicken shish + lamb gyro combo (politely asked if it was possible, and they were fine with it) and a mixed meze appetizer.I found the Adana kebab to be great. At some points a bit meatball-ish, but maybe some extra spices would do the trick. Would still come back & get this again.Lamb gyro was on the drier side, wouldn’t recommend. Chicken shish was delicious and very, very tender. we both thought this was the best meat option of our order.Mixed meze was good, although they don’t let you add tzatziki to it, so I would suggest ordering it on its own. The grape leaves, eggplant salad, and whatever spicy one in the top left of my photo were A1! Perfect for the free bread. The white sauce they supply with the dishes is just bad. It tastes like watered down mayo with maybe some dried herb. It’s not good. Their hot sauce / spicy sauce was very mid.“
“I eat Turkish food regularly. I grew up eating Sahara on Coney Island Avenue. This was my first time ordering from here and I'm so glad that I did. The restaurant was immaculate, the staff were so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious!!!! The Lamb gryo, Chicken Kabob and Hummus were excellent. The red lentil soup was the best I've ever had. The rice pudding and the Kadayif were also amazing. I will definitely be ordering from here often. I'm so glad I found this place, their food is absolutely delicious.“
“Wenn man den Döner in Deutschland gewohnt ist, ist das Dönerfleisch bei "Ay Kebab" vergleichsweise zurückhaltend gewürzt. Die Qualität von Fleisch und Gemüse ist aber über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Das Hühnerfleisch war zart und das Gemüse frisch und knackig. Preise sind USA-ensprechend recht happig, 11$ für einen Wrap incl. Steuer ist eine Nummer für sich.“
“Excellent restaurant in real Turkish/Mediterranean style. The people who work there are actually from there and they do a much better job than any other restaurant I know in NYC. The price is also appropriate, especially compared to the competition. We come here almost every week and it's our favorite restaurant.“
“The food was bland.but we loved it.it was a good portion and rice was cooked very well.i like my food with a little bit more spices but to be honest.i enjoyed the food at this place and I was very happy.i hope you keep up the standards.thank “
“I've been in NYC for about 20 days. I went to a Turkish Restaurant. I visited Rocca Café & Lounge today. As soon as I entered the door, I encountered the smiling faces of the staff. We met the owner, Mr. Musatafa. He stood out with his hospitality. The food was truly delicious. Hookah side is super..The location and ambience of the restaurant is super. If you want to have a delicious meal in NYC, be sure to stop by here. The atmosphere is great. I would like to thank the owner and staff.NYC is the pride of Turks...?“
“Ever since this spot has come under new ownership it has become an absolute staple of Brooklyn, and the only place I’ll get Turkish food. As a resident of Istanbul for three years and New York for over a decade you know when something is the real deal, and everything on this menu holds its own. Add the genuine service and this takes one of my top three restaurants in New York city. (Would have taken a photo but I got too excited)“
“what a sweet little spot! the staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is gorg inside. we came for brunch and had the çilbir to share between 2 people, which comes with several sides. the meal was refreshing, light, and so, so tasty.“
