“After a tasty round of appetizers including tangy baked Fava beans, creamy smooth hummus, baba ghanoush and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside falafel, we feasted on two lamb dishes, one of which was perfectly grilled, and an order of couscous with vegetables. I still remember today how great everything tasted. Service was friendly and efficient and the decor included lamps and accessories imported from Morocco. Portions were generous and they provide containers for the leftovers. You can only eat so much! Highly recommended.”

Ordered french fries, onion rings, and small orders of sweet and spicy wings (10), crispy chicken drumsticks (5) and hot and spicy boneless chicken (about 12 pieces or so). “I love coming to Wasai Bistro whenever I’m visiting the east coast. I’ve followed Chef Nelson since his days at Aozora and Wabi Sabi. His food quality, menu options, and value are unmatched in the area. Once you try his food you will understand why he has so many repeat diners. I highly recommend the Mes Reves Roll, Uni and bone marrow ramen, Miso glazed sea bass entree and salmon lover entree but it’s very hard to go wrong with anything Chef Nelson serves. Parking is street parking only but honestly I’ve always had a very easy time finding a spot. BYOB so you can drink what you love.”

“For a small Mexican restaurant, the food was good. The pictures we had were taken in a rush, because we ate everything before I remembers to take pics. The ceviche is quite good, order it 'less spicy' like we did if that's not your thing. I had fish soft tacos, which were done well and portion size was good. Guacamole is very good - better than that C chain place. Service seemed stretched - not enough staff in my opinion, I only saw two servers and two in the kitchen (from my guess) on a Saturday night around 7pm. It's BYOB, so I guess its never really packed.”

“Really love this spot as soon as you walk in you feel very calm and invited. With the opening, I can definitely see why they’re so busy and unfortunately did not have too many options in terms of ice coffee to try however, I was lucky enough to stop in during the earlier soft opening and try some other ones. I got their panela latte and pan de bon. Excited to come back when it’s a little less busy and spend some time.”

“This is at least a monthly stop for me. I always grab at least one food option and two desserts. Today was the rice ball, chocolate cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter brownie. Lots of gluten free options too.”

“Nothing beats enjoying the sushi at the restaurant but due to the covid pandemic and with an abundance of caution for safety the restaurant is takeout only. Regardless, Mr. Bin's is our "go-to" sushi place. We routinely travel from Union to Cranford because it's that good! The freshness is evident with every bite. The presentation of the sushi is perfect. I miss hanging with Mr. Bin at the restaurant and looking forward that once again. Especially his "special" selections that he surprises me with.”

“ALWAYS delicious - I try to stop here whenever I am in the Cranford area. I’ve been a fan of this Jersey Shore style seafood joint for a couple decades. Fresh, perfectly prepared dishes that always allow the seafood to shine. Fried or broiled flounder and any kind of shrimp are a personal favorite. I always judge a restaurant by it’s side salad and here it’s never an afterthought, fresh and so tasty - they should bottle their house dressing it’s off the chart.”

“This is the first 5 Star restaurant we have found in NJ since moving in 1991 from Manhatten. Four of us went this past sunday evening. Everything was 5 star,including food; Niavh's (Irish name pronounced as Nieve) service; and the personable manager, Dave. Gorgeous wood and glass. Great Ambience. Easy to park. Could not be happier!”

“What a cute little breakfast spot. We shared a couple dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. The multigrain toast that came with our eggs was ridiculously delicious. The star of the show for me was the lemon blueberry poppyseed pancake. I would literally return to the restaurant just for those. Our waiter was amazing and checked up on us frequently. The presentation of the restaurant was amazing and they even have a little shop you can buy some local stuff. Definitely will be returning.”

“Nice neighborhood pizzeria. Inside there are six tables with four chairs in each table for indoor dining. I have three slices: a buffalo chicken slice, a pepperoni slice, and a sausage peppers and onions slice. All three were very tasty. The crust on all three slices was nice and crisp and had a nice chew to it. The toppings were really good And each slice came to about $3.75 after tax the woman behind the counter who took care of me was pleasant. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this pizza a 7.4. That means that you are not going to drive an hour to try this pizza however, if you are in the neighborhood, it is a good go to spot.”

“Just wanted to give a shout out to A Better Me Juicery. Me and my 3 boys (7 month old not pictured) were having ourselves a chaotic morning by 9 am. We were waiting for the pharmacy to open when my 3 year old needed the potty, like immediately.

We ran around the corner and stumbled into a better me, which I have been wanting to try for a long time. I am a stay at home mom who is almost never without my kids in tow so I haven’t been brave enough to navigate downtown with all 3 boys alone just yet. However I am soooo glad I was forced into the situation because it brought us here.

My 2 year old had a hulk juice, my 3 year old wanted a “iron man” juice so the owner was kind enough to make him a superhero juice and add in some beets to make it red. They were stoked and very anxious to tell their cousins all about our superhero juice trip with the fun fruit pillows later in the day.

The owner was so friendly and down to earth. She related to the mom struggle and made me feel so welcomed when I was rather cranky. We are so lucky to have businesses like this right in the heart of town and my kids & I are excited to head back there in the near future!”

She is a knowledgeable, accommodating, and above all an excellent boss! Her girls are AMAZING!!! I go every week for my sugar free acai bowls , and the girls make perfect bowls. They are sweet, helpful , and take their job seriously!! They only want to make a perfect product for their customers . Don’t walk !!! RUN to this place!!!! I would never go anywhere else!!! PS They are the only place that makes sugar free bowls!!! DELISH”

“I have been eating tofutti cream cheese and sour cream for years. They are the closest and most delicious plant based options for both. I also use them in cooking and they melt well and still retain their flavors and consistency. Absolute power houses of versatility. They made going vegan so much easier.”

“The tacos are just okay. They only use one tortilla so when you bite into it it falls apart quickly. The only confusing part was when I asked the cashier what the difference between the steak and the carne asada was, he said they were the same thing but there is a price difference between the two so there is obviously a difference… I don’t mind paying extra but I just want to know what I’m paying for even if it’s different spices/marinade or cooking method? The churros were delicious and crispy. It came with Dulce de leche or chocolate sauce!”

By well-made I mean you're NOT going to receive food that's drowned in grease, or all mushy like it's been sitting in a steam table for hours.They have a great selection of different styles. All the standard stuff, plus Szechuan and Cantonese specialties. The prices are reasonable. Staff is very nice. I love that when I order delivery, the driver is from the restaurant, not some internet service.I used to think I'd never find good Chinese food in this area, until I tried Hop Hing. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else.”
