They always welcome you with a polite smile and when you look at all their desserts and pastries, you have to take your time because it’s hard to choose. You owe it to yourself to sit and eat your tasty delight there. They present your food and coffee in a beautiful wooden tray. It’s elegant and relaxing. I sat there today and felt as if I was in a European café. I had the strawberry cheesecake which was divine and the Mighty Mocha Hot Chocolate (a combo of coffee and hot chocolate). I added whip cream and fell in love with it. I’ll be going back. I had to refrain from getting two in a row. But this place is worth any extra holiday calories. I adore this bakery and am happy it’s in town. Also a great place to get a coffee or pastry on your way to the train since it’s right by NJ Transit. It’s perfect.“

“This bakery is an excellent addition to Westfield. It is something unique and different from other bakeries in the area. The products are much more refined than other establishments and on par with deserts, which you would find at a celebrity chef's restaurant, minus the cost. I find the cookies delicious and better tasting than any other I have seen around town, and the service is impeccable. The bakery is inviting, clean, and nostalgic for old-school charm. “I had ordered a cake and at the very last minute at that. That too over a phone call describing how I wanted it without showing a photo. It had to be perfect as it was for my wife. Not only was the Cake made to how I had described, flavor and design. It was done inspite of a last minute request, to the perfection how I wanted it.

“This was my first time having a mochinut and it was absolutely delightful!!! Their taro mochinut has been my favorite flavor so far. The texture is sooo good. It's both chewy like mochi and doughy like a donut, the perfect mixture of both! Not too heavy and not too sweet. And their variety of flavors is amazing and unique! “My sister and I ordered a bouquet for my grandmother for Mother’s Day. I don’t normally do reviews but the service provided by my delivery driver, Gianna I believe was her name, prompted me to. My dad answered the door and had a pleasant conversation due to the friendly nature. So much so that he raved about it when I came home. Not only were the cupcakes delicious, well presented and enjoyed by all, the interactions with my family really made it all worthwhile. “I am very happy I took a chance on sunmerry. I’ve had sunmerry in Taiwan, and the products were very good there.

I ordered a taro pudding cake, and sunmerry delivered. The cream was light and airy, and not heavy/oily(like the frosting on the cakes at Paris baguette). The taro was actual taro paste, and the pudding was not overwhelming. It was the first time I finished a slice of cake with the frosting altogether.

“As previously mentioned. Parking on the street just outside of the entrance before checking in. It’s best to show up just before your appointment. There is no parking on site or anywhere near. The employees were great to deal with and they unloaded me within 45 minutes.“

You ask for an egg with waffles, they give you two (and charge for two just to be clear). I wish that they were a little more clear about that kind of stuff.

The food really does make up for it though. Everything is super fresh, well made and seasoned. The empanadas give Division Street Cafe a run for their money. The waffles are proper waffles, not the Belgian ones everyone else has, and it's all just vibrant. The decor is really fun, and the people who work there are friendly. The price can be a bit nuts. Both times I've gone it's cost us $50 to feed two people, with one entree each, a drink for one of us, and a single empanada. That's a lot. The desserts are $10 each which is a bit nuts. I know everyone is charging a lot nowadays, but I don't have to be happy about it.“

But I noticed that two of male cashiers (9/20/24). They don’t seem that friendly with me. I’m not saying it has to be all sunshine and rainbows and for them to be all smiley or whatever lol. But still, I was friendly with them when I paid for my things at the register and they looked at me as if they were annoyed by me. Again understanding that they were tired and worked hard and I do appreciate all of them for their hard work to provide best customer service! But still they need to practice being just a bit more friendlier ? !
