“I’m glad I stopped by on a whim. I was greeted by a small, cozy cafe and got a yummy London fog latte, which had a good strong lavender flavor. Pets are welcomed, which I found out when a cute poodle walked in and jumped on the couch. There is a parking lot, which is a huge bonus in NB. My only issue is that sometimes this place is too busy xD. It’s super popular and frequented by Rutgers students, so finding a table and navigating around the tables may be hard :(.I didn’t see any Iranian/Persian sweets or specials but I guess I wasn’t looking closely enough.“

Both were rich and creamy, and were a delicious treat. While the Viking Vanilla was more of your typical vanilla ice cream, the Strawberry Fields really stood out as high quality as it contained pieces of actual strawberry inside...probably the best strawberry ice cream in the area. Although it's cash only, the prices are reasonable with generous portions, with a kids or regular size more than ample size to satisfy any sweet tooth craving. I'm happy to support small businesses like Gil & Bert's, and recommend them to others.“

“We stopped in here after working in the area. What a great find! I got my own flight board as did my husband because there were so many good choices! All were excellent but our favorite hands down were the Babushka Brown Ale and the Holiday Ale. I love the fact that this place also supports charities. “Came here to pick up food for the second time tonight, I can say they have been absolutely amazing both times. Me and my partner got cheese flautas and my aunt got the whiskey burger. The food was exactly what we asked for and was delicious. My partner and I are vegetarian and they have lots of options for us which is awesome. Now the horchata, the large is HUGE and it is so good I didnt even want to share it lol that is how delicious it is. There was a man singing and his voice is great it made me so happy. “Had my daughters first birthday party here after looking at multiple other restaurants. This restaurant had the nicest party room and the food was delicious. The day of the party, I was able to come early to decorate and set up. The owner and his family were very kind and helped set up the room and accommodated our requests.They continually checked in throughout the event to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. The waitresses made sure we had enough food and the kids were all given kids meals which they loved. My guests raved about the chicken francese and baked clams.It was a great day and I felt very at peace knowing how helpful staff was and didn't have to worry about the party going smoothly.
