Some of my recommendations are the quesadillas, American burger, Louisiana chicken sandwich, chicken Milanese salad, Philly cheesesteak and the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. Their menu isnt huge but it is tastey and well designed. “I have wanted to visit the Sweets & Cafe Bakery for a long time. It is a few blocks away from my dentist, and I finally had the opportunity to visit last Friday, March 8, 2024. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.“

Since I had not been to an area of Jersey City outside of Journal Square for a long time, I decided to arrive at least an hour earlier. The park across the street is one I first saw more than five years ago.The service was beyond excellent. The staff were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The coffees were super delicious and the cornbread meat pie is truly the star of the menu.I love how spacious it is, and there is plenty of seating. Of course, I loved the library of books already in the cafe, as well as all of the African art and other assorted African items. I think I saw at least one or two items made using Kente cloth.There is a strong community/home vibe in the cafe. I was treated more like a friend than as a customer, and Tara, the owner of Book Haven Books looked very happy to have partnered with Ko Cafe for this Silent Book Club Meetup.I look forward to returning, as soon as I can.Vegetarian options: I was very happy to have purchased the last Vegan banana walnut muffin. It was a cold, snowy morning and we stepped inside to a warm atmosphere and very welcoming staff. The chef, who I assume is the owner was so kind and friendly. The owner Raphael is very friendly and welcoming. He also cooks. He’s definitely passionate about what he does, doesn’t cut corners in anyway by using all high quality ingredients.
