“That place has been there forever, since i was a kid riding my bike there running errands. The food is good, especially the burgers. One of the few places where you csn still get a plain bologna and cheese sub, ha.Parking: Me i order and just pickup, because its hard to find parking over there.“
“Stopped in for lunch and they had a good selection of choices to pick from. I got the griot with sweet plantain and rice and peas. My husband likes all his food moist with sauce so we got some gravy from the chicken in sauce and it was so good. Good amount of heat in the sauce and the meat was fresh and not tough. The rice was fluffy and light and the plantains were a perfect match to the meat.We also got 2 chicken patties and 2 beef patties and they were ok. The meat to pastry ratio is off so you end up eating more pastry than meat which is disappointing. The meat had great flavor but they should make it smaller so the meat stands out more. The dough was buttery and flaky and had a good bite.Overall, it was a good experience. The customer service was a bit dry but polite.I would definitely go back to try more things and would recommend this spot for authentic Haitian food.“
“Surprised I haven’t rated this place til now. As a Vegan at the shore, Hummus Republic is one of my favorite places to go. I always get a bowl and I always load it up and I always love it. Garlic Jalepeno is my favorite sauce. When I want it spicy, either of the hot options are great.“
“OmG . so i have been eating pupusas for quite some time as my husband is from el Salvador. His sister makes some of the best pupusas i’ve ever eaten, i never thought i would find a place that would be equal to or even BETTER than hers but wow did we find it. these are the BEST pupusas so yummy . and the yuca and chicharron is a must try as well ! so so so good ! We will be back for sure !! love supporting a family owned restaurant .“
“Absolutely love this place. We don’t live nearby, so we didn’t know what to expect. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by a few workers with a smile . They accommodated our seating needs and made us feel at home. The food was great and prices were great as well. Our waitress kept checking in on us to make sure we were good and if she can help us with anything . Love the old fashioned sports bar vibe , definitely something I haven’t seen before in kosher dining . They also have a more elegant seating area for more formal dining . Super kid friendly as well. We will definitely be back when visiting .“
“The first thing I noticed was how immaculately clean this establishment wasThey sure take pride in the appearance of their store. I had a scoop of their peanut butter ice cream and let me tell you, it was fantastic! Every bite was like scooping peanut butter from a jar. The women who waited on us was sweet and friendly. “I've had the food from here a couple of times and it's always been great! I especially like the beef ones. I like the guava/cheese and dulce de leche dessert ones too but they're VERY sweet, so if you're not big on sweets don't go for them. I hope they're able to relocate after the mall closes down, I feel bad because they lost their location in Long Branch and now a similar situation is forcing them out of Eatontown. Regardless, I wish them well, the food is delicious and the service is great.“
“We were out shopping and decided to grab lunch before heading home. We had our 8 month old son with us and had asked if we could get him some chicken. The owner said absolutely and even cut it up in small pieces for us. He didn’t charge us for the chicken either which was unbelievably nice. Food was great and our little bud enjoyed his chicken tooo! Thank you!“
“I normally don't order from fried chicken locations but I'll definitely order Krispy krunchy chicken again. Upon entering the corner store/liquor store everyone greets you and acknowledges that you're there. I went in with my partner days before actually ordering and the staff treated us with a sample which lead us to order from them. We went right before closing and they still treated us kindly and assuming the owner I was speaking to the owner that night, he treated us to some desserts and they were all delicious. They were unfortunately out of honey biscuits but that's a good sign. The Cajun tenders and chicken was good, flavorful, crispy , juicy. Fries were amazing, mashed potatoes with gravy was flavorful. The mac and cheese was good. Definitely have my support!“
