Each time I go in to pick my food up I observe him speaking with the customers and making sure that everything is running smooth. He is very approachable and friendly. “I absolutely love this place. I try and go every time I go to the AMC in Ridgefield since it's close. The family that owns it is so nice and friendly. She already knows that I almost always order the pineapple burger. I've only tried half the menu and have enjoyed it. Maybe when I've had my fill of my beloved ? ?, I'll try something else. I also like their garden in the front. My buddy and I try to memorize and name all the countries of the mini flags they have on the inside of the restaurant. Good food, good times. I recommend it!“

“After a long overnight shift at the hospital I stopped in the nearest breakfast spot on google. I like to support small owned businesses because usually you receive good quality service and that’s what I encountered when coming in this morning. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a coffee. The sandwich was delicious, and the coffee was just that. Coffee. If you’re in a rush first thing in the morning be sure to give yourself time because they take they’re time to prep the food but in a good way overall I was satisfied and will be back again.“

“Caldwell diner is wonderful. I have ordered takeout several times now and have always been extremely pleased. I love that when I call to place an order I always get a friendly voice on the other end of the phone - they are SO polite and courteous. The food is delicious and you can tell it is prepared and packaged with care. We have had the Italian panini, veggie and beef burgers, chicken fingers, garden Salad with grilled chicken, and the chicken salad club so far. I am hoping they add matzo ball soup to the menu in the future. Apparently the owners have two other establishments - Tavern 292 in Fairfield and another Tavern 73 in Pine Brook but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Anyway, highly recommend!!!“
“Jimmy and Bernice work the wee hours of the morning to make everything fresh every day. From the Friday corn beef hash for breakfast ( sells out early) to the best fresh burgers. Homemade soups. While I worked in the area I ate lunch there every day for about 40 years. Miss eating there they made you feel like family.“

They will give you a 15 minute wait but takes much less. Worth the wait if you you do ever come at the same time as 10 people or so.Breakfast menu has all the basics at reasonable prices.Lunch items are great. All the panini grill is great. A must try.“

“First and foremost, before I even discuss the food I want to address the fact that all of the staff at the diner today seemed genuinely happy to be there. Having worked in food service, that’s generally unheard of. Big props to the owner/ management for creating an environment like that.Now the food: I’m gluten intolerant. I couldn’t contain my smile when I saw the extensive gluten free options and heard of the lengths the kitchen goes to ensure allergy safety. I can’t remember the last time I have had so many wonderful options and could order something so easily. I got the chicken fingers and they were wonderful.Lastly: Safe is a fantastic server and very clearly cares a lot about the diner patrons. Every table that gets him as their server is just as lucky to have him as the diner is.Thank you for a great dinner ? I will be back OFTEN“
“The Philly Cheesesteak is the best! Good price for the amount of food you get!Breakfast is ok typical diner type food. I'm not a fan of eggs so the options are more limited for me to pancakes, waffles, etc. so we usually do lunch instead.They are open for dinner now during the week but post the specials on Instagram. They used to have a website and it no longer works, I really wish they would fix it because in this day and age usually if you don't have a website you don't last long as a business.“
“One of the best diner I’ve ever been. The atmosphere is beautiful, servers are attentive, everything looks really clean, service is fast. I had Mexican burger, and my husband has NYc panini. My burger was really good taste delicious, I tastes the NYC panini it was a little unsalted but it tasted nice too. Overall great diner.“

If you miss Libbys Lunch on McBride Ave, this is the place for you. The owner was the head cook at Libbys for many years so its just as good if not better, especially since its Halal!“
