“I discovered Montclair Diner through DoorDash and I have ordered from here many times and I am very satisfied with the quality of all the items relative to the price. DoorDash pricing is getting out of control and Montclair Diner is one of the few spots that still have reasonable prices and good quality. I usually order breakfast like pancakes, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee and I have been happy with the orders. There are a few more items on the menu that I really want to try out including the crab cakes Benedict, shrimp and grits, and burgers and I look forward to that.“
“I ate here after Montclair's open house, and this has been one of the best eating experiences I've had in a while. I was able to get meals and drinks for 2 as well as a appetizer for under $30. On top of that the portion sizes were really filling, something incredible for the price. The food was a bit oily, but really delicious, so I recommend anyone in the area to give this place a try!“
“Went on a Sunday & it was packed! For good reason. They had an a DJ playing great music, the food was good, the aesthetic is a VIBE. Only reason 4/5 was service. Our waiter wasn’t the friendliest/ attentive. Other than that- definitely going back!“
“Before I went back to college after spring break, me and my family took a stop at the Colonial Diner to get some food for diner, driving into the parking lot and getting seated pretty quickly. There were a good amount of other people in the diner, so getting a seat quickly was nice. Service wasn't anything special, but I don't really mind. The atmosphere of the diner is great, a very retro feel like it just came out of the early to mid 1900s. It was a cozy vibe. We got the 21 shrimp, breakfast burger, french toast, and some fish that was a special- sorry for forgetting the name. Really liked my breakfast burger and my sister's french toast. The shrimp was pretty basic though, and I think the fish could've been seasoned a bit better (it still tasted good!).Overall a pretty good place to drop into if you're looking for an affordable bite with a nice vibe.“
“Always a good experience here the hosts always Greet you with a positive attitude and the service is always top notch. Prices are also very fair.Parking: Fair amount of parking entrance and exit are also easy to navigateKid-friendliness: Kid friendly food options and chairs“
“Caldwell diner is wonderful. I have ordered takeout several times now and have always been extremely pleased. I love that when I call to place an order I always get a friendly voice on the other end of the phone - they are SO polite and courteous. The food is delicious and you can tell it is prepared and packaged with care. We have had the Italian panini, veggie and beef burgers, chicken fingers, garden Salad with grilled chicken, and the chicken salad club so far. I am hoping they add matzo ball soup to the menu in the future. Apparently the owners have two other establishments - Tavern 292 in Fairfield and another Tavern 73 in Pine Brook but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Anyway, highly recommend!!!“
“First and foremost, before I even discuss the food I want to address the fact that all of the staff at the diner today seemed genuinely happy to be there. Having worked in food service, that’s generally unheard of. Big props to the owner/ management for creating an environment like that. Now the food: I’m gluten intolerant. I couldn’t contain my smile when I saw the extensive gluten free options and heard of the lengths the kitchen goes to ensure allergy safety. I can’t remember the last time I have had so many wonderful options and could order something so easily. I got the chicken fingers and they were wonderful.Lastly: Safe is a fantastic server and very clearly cares a lot about the diner patrons. Every table that gets him as their server is just as lucky to have him as the diner is.Thank you for a great dinner ? I will be back OFTEN“
“This is a very good old school diner. I've been coming here for years. They are always courteous and the food is reliable. I was in the mood for grilled chicken with honey mustard on a roll. It wasn't on their menu as that but they were more than happy to make it for me. They have a number of daily specials and they are different all the time so you can be a regular without getting bored.“
“This diner was nice and had a very old school atmosphere. It's not my type but if it is then a good place. Food was good but not as good as other diners I've been to. Overall would recommend going here for a more classic feeling diner.“
“Park Wood Diner is the first restaurant my family visited when we started fencing in Maplewood. They have expanded their hours over the last year, which makes it incredibly convenient to pick up sandwiches for dinner after practice. We also eat here with friends on weekends, and the breakfast combination platter of pancakes, bacon, eggs and home fries is extremely popular.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the extremely large menuDietary restrictions: You can find a variety of options to fit different diets.Parking: There is a free parking lot around the corner from the main entrance.Kid-friendliness: Very, very kid friendly. There are large booths and a variety of seating areas.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp from the parking lot into the diner.“
“Glad l went, heard about this diner. Good prices, good portions .. great service.Nice staff, friendly and they have so many pictures of Legends on the wall.Highly recommendDietary restrictions: They will accommodateParking: Parking was availableKid-friendliness: They have a family vibeWheelchair accessibility: Ramp n easy parking“
“After a long overnight shift at the hospital I stopped in the nearest breakfast spot on google. I like to support small owned businesses because usually you receive good quality service and that’s what I encountered when coming in this morning. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a coffee. The sandwich was delicious, and the coffee was just that. Coffee. If you’re in a rush first thing in the morning be sure to give yourself time because they take they’re time to prep the food but in a good way overall I was satisfied and will be back again.“
“Great place for breakfast/brunch. Very busy every time I've been but worth the wait. They have a bar you can seat yourself if there is a spot and parking is a nightmare but they do have overflow parking a short walk away. It's an adorable place reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland type decor. The staff is friendly and service is pretty prompt even when hopping. My daughter has had the cheese blintzes and I've had the Arepa Benedict and the Godfather omelet. Everything is always delicious. They have lunch and dinner type selections also and serve cocktails after 12 noon. It has fast become my go to stop on my way back to PA from NYC. Be patient, be kind and you won't be disappointed. Even the landscape is whimsical with statues of children playing hidden all around the castle like building.“
“The food is always good and not salty! Plus you get plenty to eat for the price. The atmosphere is always warm with families and different cultures, and management is very friendly.Dietary restrictions: If you have high blood pressure the food is not salty at all.Wheelchair accessibility: My mom walks with a walker and they have three wheelchair accessible spots right near the front door.“
“A hidden gem in this community. Always feels cozy, always friendly, and always attentive. From their Belgium Waffles w/ Chicken Tenders to their Taylor Ham w/ cheese & eggs to their Oatmeal with mix fruits, all splendid! I’ve been here for years and at no time have I ever walked away upset. Excellent service to top it off, thank you!“
“Meat loaf was very good. Turkey dinner very good. Large portions. Service ... very polite and friendly. Atmospere ... clean and tidy. Salads ... the good stuff, not iceberg, Try the starburst salad. Best diner around bar none. Trust me on this one.“
“First time coming here since remodel. The new atmosphere and remodel is amazing. I love the new set up and everything. However the service wasn’t that good, our waiter barely came to the table to check on us and forgot about some of our food. The food wasn’t entirely bad, it was flavorful but a little dry.“
“I just want to say reviews did not disappoint! This was my first time but definitely not my last. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the doors, food is fresh and absolutely delicious & the staff is on point. Yum yum yum thank you!“
“Went here after a show that ended at 10pm with family didn't know that they close at 11pm the staff were very receptive and accommadating no questions asked they served us and didn't rush us out. For this we are appreciative and will definitely be backWheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp accessible to the diner and room to move around inside“
“If you cannot wait for the table, I'd recommend checking the live tracker on Google maps.We came in on Sunday, St Patrick's day, and as a large group (of 24) the place was PACKED...We had to wait over 30 minutes, but it was worth it.Prices are not low, but you do get your money's worth.Portions are BIG, selection is great so even picky eaters can find something to eat. Also, since it is a diner, you can have breakfast for lunch or dinner...Service is quite fast and attentive but not overly, which I prefer.Plenty of parking onsite and proximity to the highway makes it a good choice for a mealParking: Onsite.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant.“
“I had the patty melt that was absolutely delicious and disco fries that were perfect! The carrot cake I have for dessert was almost perfect, maybe just a little more icing than I would have preferred. Our server was perfect although I waited too long to write this to remember her name unfortunately sorry.“
“Busy place. Variety of options. Great serviceParking: Limited free parking is available on site. On a weekend, the next best option would be to park in the Millburn train station parking lot, which is less than 5 min away by walk. As a last option, one can choose to pay and park in the parking garage, diagonally across the diner.“
“I haven't been to all the diners in Wayne as I'm still relatively new to town (2.5 years at this point) but of the diners I've been to this is my favorite.First off, the food is above average. It isn't fancy and I'm sure if you dive into the more esoteric regions of the menu the quality might get spotty but for a sandwich and fries they come out pretty well.I also like the vibes. The place is packed with locals and there are some gimmicks for days of the week. Monday is kids eat free and there was a comedy night scheduled...at some point. I was told it's easy to avoid if you like and easy to engage if you like. I hope to check it out soon.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friend. Special kid days too. If you don't like a carnival I might stay away though.“
“I've said it before, I'll say it again, NJ is known for its exceptional diners.. and I judge them by how good their coffee is. Miss America diner hits all the spots. Not only was the coffee full bodied and delicious, but the food was equally delicious. I came with a family of 6 on Easter morning at around 10:30 am. No waiting, no huge crowd. We had French toast, beef sausage, link sausage, pork bacon, grits, eggs, a bacon omelet, chicken fingers and fries - all of which was so simply delicious. There was nothing fancy about the place and its tiny but it's places like those that come through with some yummy for the tummy. The waitress was nice, got our order on point and I'd definitely be here again. We were so hungry we forgot pics but I'll be back.Vegetarian options: They have meatless options that could be vegetarian. As far as vegan options I did see salads and fruit and vegetables on the menu.Parking: There is a lot in front of the diner.Kid-friendliness: I came with my children. My baby was able to have a high seat, and I believe that there is a kid part of the menu although we didn't order from it.“
“I visit this place about once a month. The staff is friendly it gives a kind of homely ambience. The food is good I haven't had a complaint yet the prices are ok I feel like they may b a tad bit too much but with inflation in mind it's very reasonable. Nice size portions especially if you eat in.“
“Have been here about 5 times now. Whenever I need to head into Manhattan I swing by on the way home. Great food and the bakery items are insane. Every dessert you can imagine. The soup is always great. 5 stars all the way. It's a busy place Whenever I've shown up so be prepared to wait. But it's worth the wait.“
“I go to this place from time to time to have breakfast and i gotta say its great! The food here is delicious...they have a variety of breakfast platters that would really satisfy any customer. The service is good, only thing is that it gets packed after that early morning school rush. But other than that i really dont have any complaints. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get great breakfast options at a great price!“
“Amazing food, great customer service and very clean restaurant. I get food here at least once a week and have never had any problems. If you miss Libbys Lunch on McBride Ave, this is the place for you. The owner was the head cook at Libbys for many years so its just as good if not better, especially since its Halal!“
“The food was top notch! Best onion rings, phenomenal!! Best batter around. The burger was a generous size, done to perfection and on a fresh, soft Kaiser roll. Tara, our server was very attentive and she was such a great worker. It has a local feel and even had an outlet along with built in usb charging ports.“
“Located at an intersection between Goffle Road and Wagaraw Road, forming a triangle, my partner and I had lunch at the Hawthorne Diner as first-timers. Upon entering, the interior was small and simple, but it had plenty of booths as well as a bar and was clean. There were a few tables in the back where we sat promptly. Their menu had everything one wanted or needed at a typical Jersey diner. There were plenty of breakfast choices, as well as wraps, sandwiches, and dinner options. We decided on something light and went for the broccoli cheddar potato skins and 1/2 tuna fish sandwich combo with salad. Good food is served in a timely fashion and at a decent price. Our server was friendly and attentive. We can recommend this place.“
“My first time going during mid-November -- I stopped by around noon, and the place was pretty crowded, but still lots of available seating! I ordered the eggs Benedict -- the avocado option, which was a healthier alternative than the regular one with muffin. -- it had so much delicious hollandaise sauce. My partner ordered the Hillery Street house special from the breakfast platter menu, which has two large pancakes, eggs, and bacon strips. We also ordered (not pictured) hot chocolate with whipped cream and regular coffee with milk--- the milk is served in this cute sealed small glass container. Overall, it is a family-friendly place with great service and tasty brunch options with sizeable portions. We definitely see ourselves returning to try more of their breakfast menu. Ps: Nicely decorated with an autumn theme not just outside the entrance but all over the restaurant.“
“We came here on a Saturday and from start to finish Ray’s was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and for it to be as crowded as it was they were very engaging with the customers. The food came out quickly and was delicious! Truly a wonderful family owned spot! Will definitely be going back.“
