“I have visited the Americana Diner many times and in each case the food and service was very good. The staff, both kitchen and servers, are very professional and efficient. Speaking of staff, I must mention Vanessa who is one of the diner's hostesses. She is terrific. She treats her co-workers and all of the Americana's customers with the utmost respect. She alone makes a visit to the Americana worth your time. I can't recommend the Americana Diner more. A great roadside diner with great food and staff.“
“My husband and I went to Park Wood diner yesterday for lunch.. I had the lasagna and beans soup and he had swedish meatball with chicken soap.. and we had ice tea.. it was great.. it's really cheap.. go there for lunch you will not regret it.“
“Come here with a rezzie because you’ll be waiting for a bit without one. It’s clean and modern inside and has classic diner touches. Drinks were 8.5/10 and food is 6-7/10. Would order corned beef hash again but not steak and eggs because of the lack of seasoning. Pancakes have a hint of lemon flavor which I enjoyed but my partner did not. I could drink the mocha latte all day.“
“Food was amazing! The service was perfect, being the waitress wasn't hovering over us at all time or completely absent either. And the prices and portion sizes was perfect!! Better than ihop! Me and my wifes new breakfast spot. Shout out to our waitress angelica for being awesome and friendly.“
“A guy sat next to me on the train literally tapped me on the shoulder and asked, “Where did you get that sandwich”.Classic diner… with an international twist. Speedy service, great breakfast sandwich, everything you want in a diner/lunch spot.A real gem.“
“No frills, throwback diner. Both in the ambience and the prices, which seem frozen in the early 2000s. Cash only, often with a line this is a local institution that's worth visiting if you enjoy crab benedict. Our little ones also like the French toast.“
“THE BEST GREEK SALAD IN NJ! I am not exaggerating! I have been all over Greece and this salad is the closest you can get to the real one. I live in LA, and every time I come to NJ I eat that salad every single day because it’s hard to find the right one in LA as well!Vegetarian options: Greek salad is the best“
“First impressions, we were greeted with a warm welcome the moment we walked in the door. The menu has so many options there is something for everyone. One great cup of coffee to start. Service with a smile from the owner to the wait staff. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming everyone is friends here and seems like there are no strangers here. Now let’s talk food. We chose from the breakfast menu and let me tell you right now WOW. We ate like kings and queens at little cost. We definitely did not walk away hungry. I am a grits fan and they came out perfect, not to wet and not to dry just right. So from the Wilson family we say thank you Seaport Diner for such a wonderful experience. If we are ever in the area again we will 100% be returning.“
“Had a really good breakfast platter of french toast, cheese eggs, and beef bacon. Everything was made to order. The French toast was really good, it was thicker and more flavorful than expected and the beef bacon was cooked perfectly. It came with about 6 pieces. Also had an order of hot wings which were fried to perfection and tossed in a tangy sauce.10/10They accept applepay“
“The food is always good and not salty! Plus you get plenty to eat for the price. The atmosphere is always warm with families and different cultures, and management is very friendly.Dietary restrictions: If you have high blood pressure the food is not salty at all.Wheelchair accessibility: My mom walks with a walker and they have three wheelchair accessible spots right near the front door.“
“Lots of good food options, especially Hispanic. Parking available is a major plus. Has children’s high chairs available and gave us crayons and a little table mat to color. Service was standard and have nothing bad to say about this place! It is a Jersey diner so can’t expect much for decorations but I’ve been coming here for years and will keep coming.Parking: Parking lot is adjacent to diner. Parking is free.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, crayons and coloring placemat available.“
“Caldwell diner is wonderful. I have ordered takeout several times now and have always been extremely pleased. I love that when I call to place an order I always get a friendly voice on the other end of the phone - they are SO polite and courteous. The food is delicious and you can tell it is prepared and packaged with care. We have had the Italian panini, veggie and beef burgers, chicken fingers, garden Salad with grilled chicken, and the chicken salad club so far. I am hoping they add matzo ball soup to the menu in the future. Apparently the owners have two other establishments - Tavern 292 in Fairfield and another Tavern 73 in Pine Brook but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Anyway, highly recommend!!!“
“First time coming here since remodel. The new atmosphere and remodel is amazing. I love the new set up and everything. However the service wasn’t that good, our waiter barely came to the table to check on us and forgot about some of our food. The food wasn’t entirely bad, it was flavorful but a little dry.“
“Best breakfast I had in a while so I am very pleased to have found this little gem. The breakfast wrap is sooo good, it's perfection in a wrap! The home made corn beef hash is amazing, best I've had in the area. Did not disappoint and will be back for more.“
“A hidden gem in this community. Always feels cozy, always friendly, and always attentive. From their Belgium Waffles w/ Chicken Tenders to their Taylor Ham w/ cheese & eggs to their Oatmeal with mix fruits, all splendid! I’ve been here for years and at no time have I ever walked away upset. Excellent service to top it off, thank you!“
“This is a very good old school diner. I've been coming here for years. They are always courteous and the food is reliable. I was in the mood for grilled chicken with honey mustard on a roll. It wasn't on their menu as that but they were more than happy to make it for me. They have a number of daily specials and they are different all the time so you can be a regular without getting bored.“
“I just want to say reviews did not disappoint! This was my first time but definitely not my last. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the doors, food is fresh and absolutely delicious & the staff is on point. Yum yum yum thank you!“
“I enjoyed my dinner at the Lighthouse diner. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, and I was very impressed. Everything blended together well and tasted delicious. The meal also came with a salad. The service was quick, the waiter was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and it had a good atmosphere. I’d definitely come here again.“
“I enjoy eating here with my grandchildren ,they make the California burgers with bacon wow! Delicious and their fries are so crispy, very clean, family environment, good prices and excellent service I Highly recommend it .Kid-friendliness: My grandchildren love it they order their milkshakes ,hamburgers french fries would not eat anywhere else they say.“
“While the food is very good, the service always spot on, very nice sized portions, and priced right, for me the main feature is the diner itself! It's like stepping back in time; diners like this are becoming more rare to find, and I'm glad this old girl is still holding up!Parking: Parking can b a bit difficult during peak hours because the place does good business. Go a little before traditional lunch or breakfast hours and you should be ok.“
“If you cannot wait for the table, I'd recommend checking the live tracker on Google maps.We came in on Sunday, St Patrick's day, and as a large group (of 24) the place was PACKED...We had to wait over 30 minutes, but it was worth it.Prices are not low, but you do get your money's worth.Portions are BIG, selection is great so even picky eaters can find something to eat. Also, since it is a diner, you can have breakfast for lunch or dinner...Service is quite fast and attentive but not overly, which I prefer.Plenty of parking onsite and proximity to the highway makes it a good choice for a mealParking: Onsite.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant.“
“I was passing through New Jersey, and I used Google to see where there was a good place to eat. I see why The Kenilworth Diner had great reviews. Service was fast, and the food was amazing. The wait staff was also very friendly. The only suggestion... the bathroom I went in could have been a little cleaner.“
“This is my go to spot when i'm in the area, the chicken Caesar wrap with bacon never fails they make it perfect every time. ( I order almost once a week). The disco fries here are also incredible. The atmosphere is typical of a classic diner and their service is good. I definitely recommend trying them out and order the wings WELL DONE they make it exactly how you ask.“
“I visit this place about once a month. The staff is friendly it gives a kind of homely ambience. The food is good I haven't had a complaint yet the prices are ok I feel like they may b a tad bit too much but with inflation in mind it's very reasonable. Nice size portions especially if you eat in.“
“Love stopping by this local diner to get Gyro's! Also a great spot for panini's and fries. Great spot to bring the family or just hang out with friends and catch up over a yummy meal. Coming from Scotch Plains, so glad it's nearby in Westfield!“
“I brought my fiance to this diner and we had a great time. The waitress was so nice and our food was perfectly made (see pictures).Vegetarian options: I did not order a vegetarian meal, but there are salads and other options available. They were able to add/remove anything upon request too.Kid-friendliness: As you would expect of other diners in the area, this one is also kid friendly.Parking: Parking lot in the back of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Yes, but only from the front entranceThe back enterance has stairs.Dietary restrictions: They can add/remove upon request.“
“Mostly breakfast menu options with some salads thrown in. Usual eggs, hash browns, pancakes etc. Tthe food tasted fine. Parking was easy in their lot, and its location was convenient to access. Veggie omelet is priced at an additional dollar per vegetable, ie 2 eggs omelet is $10.95, than if you want 3-4 veggies added, that’s 3-4 more dollars. We were four girlfriends; they split the check at the counter.Parking: They have their own parking lot in front of the diner.“
“I’m a lifelong Vicki’s customer and I absolutely love this diner. But on DoorDash the price for a side of fries is $12 which is absolutely insane. I feel like the prices in person and online for this diner keep increasing and I was always fine with it because I support small businesses and the pandemic was hard but small stuff like soup and fries should not be over $10. If that’s the case, I can’t keep eating here. Diners are supposed to be pretty cheap and now we spent over $30 a person for lunch.“
“My wife and I stopped here for an early morning breakfast after getting in late to Newark airport. It’s 5 minutes from the airport and a good stop. I gave it a 3 for atmosphere because it’s a small place and every seat is near the kitchen, but it’s a pleasant atmosphere nonetheless. I had the corned beef hash and eggs, and it was great. They accommodated my wife’s request to have strawberries cooked in with her oatmeal and that was great too. The coffee is definitely on the better end of the diner coffee scale. We will come back next time we’re in the area.“
“This break, I had the pleasure of eating at a local diner. I went to The Allwood Diner located at 913 Allwood Rd, Clifton, NJ on March 10th around 10am. Fortunately, my family and I learned from our prior mistakes and went for breakfast as opposed to lunch when the post-Church rush occurred. The diner was not too busy, and neither was the parking lot, which is on the same premises as the establishment. Considering that the Allwood diner is my local diner, there are plenty of familiar faces each time we go. First, when we entered, we were greeted by the host with a welcoming smile and a, “How’ve you been? Long time no see. How is college?” Our names were then added to the list, and we were escorted to a booth shortly afterward. The diner is very homey with a family friendly atmosphere. The neutral colored walls, floor, booth, and many windows created a warm and inviting environment. Everything was clean and the smell of fresh brewed coffee, bacon, and pancakes wafted in the air. The wait for the food was about fifteen minutes which is definitely better than the thirty minute wait during the lunch rush. However, while we waited for our food we were constantly being checked on whether it was for a coffee refill for my father, a fresh cup of tea for my mother, or even more water for the table. During our wait, the host returned to our table to make conversation. When we got the food, which consisted of pancakes, eggs over easy, home fries, and toast, it was nice and hot, and the flavors emulsified in my mouth. They were accommodating to my father’s dietary restrictions. For example, he had a special request regarding the way they prepared his food, and they met that need. The food and experience were excellent, as always.“
“Great place to meet people for a meal any time of day! Classic menu, attentive and careful service willing to modify items so you can get exactly what you want, too. Incredible value for what you get! Various included side items for each order and very large portions. Low key incredible vegetable soup, too, which I wasn’t expecting! Thanks for a delicious meal, Millburn Diner team.“
“I ordered off of DoorDash. And I was upset that I didn’t get my condiments. So I went to the restaurant and found out it was an error of DoorDash and not of peppercorn. They accommodated me and were so nice. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted. That’s exceptional service to me!! Thanks for the food and service“
“My first time going during mid-November -- I stopped by around noon, and the place was pretty crowded, but still lots of available seating! I ordered the eggs Benedict -- the avocado option, which was a healthier alternative than the regular one with muffin. -- it had so much delicious hollandaise sauce. My partner ordered the Hillery Street house special from the breakfast platter menu, which has two large pancakes, eggs, and bacon strips. We also ordered (not pictured) hot chocolate with whipped cream and regular coffee with milk--- the milk is served in this cute sealed small glass container. Overall, it is a family-friendly place with great service and tasty brunch options with sizeable portions. We definitely see ourselves returning to try more of their breakfast menu. Ps: Nicely decorated with an autumn theme not just outside the entrance but all over the restaurant.“
“Jimmy and Bernice work the wee hours of the morning to make everything fresh every day. From the Friday corn beef hash for breakfast ( sells out early) to the best fresh burgers. Homemade soups. While I worked in the area I ate lunch there every day for about 40 years. Miss eating there they made you feel like family.“
“Dined tonight with my husband and 5yr old! Definitely Family friendly! We had Greek wrap, kids spaghetti and meatballs, eggs/home fries/pancakes, and maza ball soup!! All items were fresh, and had good flavor! I haven't gone there in a long time so I was impressed. I would go back again soon. Our server was Jeff,he was very nice and attentive. Also, the bathrooms were very clean.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly , good kids menu that was reasonable (comes with drink/dessert)!“
“Very delicious food, good portion sizes. I got a Mediterranean omelette with gyro meat, hashbrowns and french toast. The staff was very friendly & the place was clean! I went for breakfast during the week, the crowd was mostly lively seniors.“
“Always open, true diner food with a bar.Vegetarian options: Plenty to see hereDietary restrictions: Cooked to orderParking: Free parking all the way around the building. I have never not found a spot.Kid-friendliness: A done without a play areaWheelchair accessibility: Steps with a revolving door. No ramp“
“Nevada Diner has been around for generations. The breakfast is great like most diners. I tried the chicken parm sandwich wih garlic bread and it was actually delicious! The bread was so soft and buttery and the chicken tastes great! Would definitely buy again. The loaded fries were good too. Though I would prefer to have them topped with sour cream and green onions for their price. Overall, good place to eat.“
“I like the chicken cesar wraps. The only thing i don't like is that every time i come and there's a waiter, I get a different price on things. Some charge for a little extra dressing, some don't, some charged for Cucumbers in stead of tomatoes And some don't. I'd like to see specials for takeout also,e.g., dinner and a pastry or something like that. Other than that it's good food.“
“Food was very good! Ordered brunch... French toast and a bacon and sausage omelette. My wife ordered fried chicken, but they were out of that, so she got the chicken tenders and fries, which was very good. Also, our meals were done in a very timely manner, and were hot as you would expect. So, Central Restaurant gets 4 thumbs ups from my wife Tina and myself! ????“
“The Park West Diner had excellent food and a very reasonable and the waitress that wait on me her name was Sonia she was very pleasant and she offered if I wanted any more coffee and I said yes she's very nice and it was very pleasant and the place was very “
“The booths are quite small and not geared for a tall person, unfortunately. It was very, very tight for my brother to sit, he's 6'5" and tight for me as well, I'm 6' but the food was very good and reminds you of a old school 24 hour diner which is what we were going for. Everyone was very nice.“
“I ordered the broccoli cheese Omlet and apple raised pancakes. The service was incredible and the food was amazing. The coffee was the best coffee I’ve had. I would suggest they serve traditional home fries as that’s not an option because they only have shredded and patty home fries. Highly recommend this place.“
“Had a late breakfast on Sunday and the place was packed. Had to wait for a table but that's to be expected. The wait wasn't too long and the three of us were seated by the front of the diner.I ordered a Western omelette with hash browns and some avocado. The food was a good portion size and tasted ok. The food wasn't as hot but that could be since they were so busy. Also, I think I was charged incorrectly for the avocado, but it could be the way I asked for it.All of the staff were nice when and that was a plus. I think I'll have to try the diner again when it's a little less busy.“
“We ate breakfast two mornings in a row here. The food was amazing, and the service was great. I'd recommend their desserts, especially the cheesecake. My wife, who is picky about her cheesecake, said it was one of the best she has eaten.“
“I enjoyed breakfast at the Livingston Diner on October 28, 2023, when I was in NJ visiting a friend. I love diners. I ordered the Challah French toast (my favorite! 3 fat slices of Challah perfectly drenched & grilled) it was delicious! My friend's over easy eggs were beautiful, and over easy takes much skill. If you're looking for a lot of razzle dazzle in your diner, you're best moving along, but if you enjoy a nice diner, atmosphere, food, a great crew who remember you, and you're in the neighborhood, then Livingston Diner will not disappoint. I would return for more Challah French toast, and those killer good looking over easy eggs! (Parking is limited, so get there early!)“
“I have been here a couple times in the last year. On a weeknight you can always get a big spacious booth. It is great for conversation, the acoustics are good. Omelettes are usually my go to, as I love them for dinner. Tonight I had a Gyro dinner platter and it was tasty. Good bargain if you go with the specials. The service was good, waiter kept checking with us.“
“To say this place is yummy is an understatement. This place always has great meals and the service is always top notch! Be wary this place gets packed but they turn tables fast . Food comes out quick and delicious! The chicken and waffles is one of my favorites here! Also you can park in the bowling parking lot too for extra parking!“
