I had the fois gras terrine with peach and chili which had the perfect balance of sweetness to cut through the fois gras, with a little bit of heat from the chili. My Wife had the smoked salmon on Gouda hash brown which although very rich was her highlight of the meal! For main I had the 21oz sirloin and my wife had the iberico pork shoulder - both cooked to perfection.The ambience of the restaurant is cosy, but unsurprisingly upmarket and the staff are all very pleasant.“

“The food here is excellent! I love when a chef has seasonal menus. We arrived the first night of their ‘Spring menu” and it was amazing. I had the crab cake appetizer and the scallops for my entree. The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. The hostess, the staff, and Chef were all so friendly and welcoming!“

“Our absolute favorite, go-to restaurant. The service is great - the owner is welcoming (even once escorted our toddler to the c-store next door to buy some candy) and all the wait staff is great, especially Jason who is incredibly kind. Food is excellent quality and fairly priced for how good it is. Pastas are cooked perfect al dente. Great meat dishes especially the pork chop french cut. The desserts are quite good as well - love the coconut cake. Because it's not huge it isn't quiet but we've never found it to be uncomfortably loud and it has a great ambience.“

“Step into déjà vu restaurant in Garfield New Jersey and enjoy the allure of Balkan food. I started off with some great appetizers and I highly recommend the melted cheese dip. I really enjoyed the chicken rolls wrapped in bacon and stuff with provolone cheese. Don’t skip out on dessert, then Nutella and banana crêpes are homemade and a must try. I also enjoyed a very delicious strawberry margarita. The staff was very attentive, and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The spot is great for a girls night out, date night, a family dinner. It’s also a great spot for a celebration“

“This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“

“One the best if not the best restaurant in Bergen County. The cauliflower appetizer is outstanding. I had the sole veronique. Perfectly cooked and incredible. My wife had the chicken Milanese and the chicken moist, not greasy in the least . Definitely recommend it.“

“Our server was not interested in serving us to the level she should have. Normally the servers are very personable. Not this time. When you are asked if you want your martini served in a martini glass that's a problem. I asked for stuffed olives and was served plain. She corrected it later after I asked. I blame training on that. The manager was fantastic! Very attentive and personable. We have dined there many times and food is always terrific. It was nice to hear live music tonight. Please tell your servers NOT to stack plates. It's rude and disgusting. You're not a diner.“

The wings are on the larger side so if you're more into the smaller wings with less meat on the bone you may not love them.My kids love the pizza. I'm a little more neutral on it due to the crust leaning a little towards a "store bought" type. But the sauce and toppings are spot on.The employees are great across the board. They all seem to enjoy working there vs just "having a job". Good place to hang with some friends or eat with the family.Parking: Depending on the time of day can be a little challenging.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the dining room for sure. The bar area has high tops but I wouldn't say that space is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Not the easiest to access for people with disabilities.“

“I've lived in Ridgewood for over 10 years and have been past this place many times and kept saying that I would stop and grab a burger here. Last night my fiancée and I finally dined in. The food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, especially top with their secret sauce and the sweet potato fries were delicious, with a side of garlic aioli dipping sauce. The atmosphere reminded me of being in a bar but with a hint of the calmness of a winter cabin in the woods. What made our experience top notch was the service. Kim was our server and she made our first time very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to chow down on nice big, juicy burger or even a healthy salad.“

Next time we checked them out for brunch and were very pleased. They have a very cute patio in the back so I will definitely return in the summer time. The veal chop... to die for! Wonderful service the 1st time. Everything was perfect. It was just ok last week, at best. But they were super busy and perhaps short-handed. In any event, there was an automatic 20% tip applied to the bill, so perhaps the server didn't care to give it her personal best. Still, we'll definitely return and recommend Roost.“

Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“

“Fire & Oak came recommended by the local cemetery after the sudden death of my 19-year-old son. The caretakers explained to us the importance of a repast, which is a gathering of mourners to assure the families are fed after the process. I am so glad they steered us to the right place. Joshua the manager, was so attentive to my needs. I wasn't familiar in planning for something like this and he made sure this process was painless. We did the buffet in the private rooms. But in the end you want to go play pool and have a good time with your friends and that's what we do. They serve all kinds of drinks and snacks and sometimes there are also very good views.
