The sushi is unique in that each piece is individually wrapped in sustainable plastic so the nori retains its crunchiness. Have you ever noticed that nori on typical sushi is soggy? I didn't either, until I tried the crunchy nori at Nami Nori. So good! The whole table was raving about it. We had a business lunch here with 6 guests from NYC and LA. Everyone thought it was spectacular. It was a wonderful way to show off the amazing restaurant scene in Montclair. Beautiful minimalist space. Walking in, the staff were super friendly and seemed to enjoy what they do. We sat in their dining nook which is really private, feels like you have the place to yourself. A cute, cozy little gem on New Dorp Lane. 10000% make sure to make reservations ahead of time for brunch. We go Sundays around 11AM and people start rolling in after us so it gets busy for brunch! Such good vibes and cute ambiance. It does get loud when it's a packed house, so just a heads up for people that do not like that kind of vibe.Drinks, food and staff is an all around A++ in my book.My favorite dishes to order are the mini quiches (2 different options of quiche, but I liked both so I always order 1 of each), the Tea Tower that has fresh fruit, pastries and mini quiches (perfect for up to 4 people), Truffle Fries, Lobster Benny, Breakfast Tacos and Steak N Egg Benny Flatbread. I haven't tried out the rest of the brunch menu, but a lot of my friends have been here and said everything on the menu is delicious! “I just had the best experience at Q'tal! Our server was so attentive but also gave us space to talk and catch up. She was so kind and everything she recommended was delicious. I highly recommend the jackfruit croquettes and the sliders which I love that they have vegan options for someone like me. I'm not sure of the name it was a passionfruit cosmo type drink and I didn't even realize it came out with a dry ice bubble. 10/10 for presentation on everything and ambiance. They have a dining area which feels a little more formal ( the chairs were so comfy by the way) and then a bar area with high tops which I think would be great for a girls night. “There was a cover which we had no problem paying. However, before going in since it was within an hour of closing the kitchen I asked: is the kitchen still open? He stated yes because I advised we wanted drinks and food. We go in they take our orders and come back out saying they ran out of chicken so they closed the kitchen. So now no I don't want any drinks you can cancel those too. Otherwise fried chicken/shrimp is 10/10, drinks 7/10, mama sauce 10/10, and DJ 10/10.“
