“I consider myself a pizza connoisseur- I have had pizza from all the "best pizza" spots across NJ: Santillo's in Elizabeth, Talula's in Asbury Park, Porta (Jersey City and Asbury), Brooklyn Square (the upside down pie in both Toms River and Jackson locations), Sciortino's in South Amboy, Pete and Elda's, Federici's in Freehold Boro, Crust and Crumble (Asbury park), Arturo's/Artie's in Maplewood, Razza in Jersey City, Rosie's in Point Pleasant (my second all time favorite. Their square pie, wow). But.. after all of that, Antimo's makes my favorite pie, by far, the Brooklyn style Grandma. It is my #1 and I can't believe it's still a hidden gem. I order this pizza almost weekly.. The bread. The crust doused in olive oil, The sauce, the chunky tomatoes, the Buffalo mozzarella, the fresh grated parm on top. Wow. Wow. Wow. So much flavor. It is literally my perfect pizza and I could eat it everyday. How lucky am I that I happen to live within 5 minutes of Antimo's?...The pizza gods blessed me. I've also had their Detroit style pizza too which is phenomenal, their vodka sauce (I love), the staff/owners, everyone is so lovely. Try the brooklyn style grandma, you will not be disappointed!!“

“This place is a hidden gem . We were there the other night with 5 people and everyone loved the food they ordered. We have been there a couple of times since it changed ownership and it’s great. It seems to be empty except on the weekends and I have no idea why. Maybe because it’s a few miles out of town. It’s more than worth the drive in my opinion !“

“My husband and I came for our 5th anniversary and had the best service and the meal was better than we could have imagined!!! We had Ellie as a server and Mike as a bartender, and it was the best experience we’ve had at restaurant since before Covid. “I promised my Dad that Marsilio's would have the best veal parm and he said it was the best ever! He's 89 so that's quite a compliment. When I asked if he wanted to share a dessert he said no, he was NOT sharing his crème brûlée. He ate the whole thing! I am longtime Marsilio's fan—a “pitcher holder” from the Trenton days—and the food and service are as great as ever. I had excellent rice balls as a starter, which I shared, and the famous vodka rigatoni. My “Dark and Stormy” espresso cocktail was fabulous and fun for the times!“

“We went to dine with this rag tag restaurant and the experience was awful. The waitress had no teeth and asked my son for his? At first we thought “hey maybe they are joking” then all of a sudden. They lady grabbed his front bicuspid. Needless to say - at that point we were concerned. Because we had a long day we were still hungry. So we stuck around. The next thing you know. The toothless individual brought another toothless friend and tried to get my tooth as well. At that point. We know. Time to get out of here. We were cooked. Unlike the food at this gross place.“

“I'm a big fan of Joe's Pizza. I've had their pizza on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the service is always quick. The plain pizza and the penne vodka pizza are two of my favorites. The penne vodka pizza is fully loaded with excellent vodka sauce, a crisp base, and crunchy-crisp crust. The plain is fantastic and features a salty, buttery cheese and an amazing sauce. Joe's is definitely one of my go-to's in the Flemington area.“

“Rustic, local, no frills pizza joint with a bar and two rooms for seating. Service was excellent. Eight people for dinner and our server was right on. He made it very pleasant. Our food was plentiful and delicious. Stand out was the buffalo chicken salad. Bar tender makes a great long island iced tea. This pizza restaurant is reliable good place if in the area. It is a busy place with lots of take out and they handle it all with fast and friendly service.“

“My mom LOVED her Mother's Day brunch at Revere's. I've only ever had dinner here so I didn't know what to expect. However, my dinner experiences have always been very good there so I was willing to give brunch a try for my mom. So glad we did! The staff was very attentive. “I was craving Italian pasta, so I did some research for good Italian that isn’t ridiculously expensive. This is what I landed with. I was very happy. Reasonable prices and likely the BEST rigatoni vodka pasta my husband and I have ever had. The sauce was perfect (not too salty or sweet and a perfect balance of cheese and tomato flavor). I added chicken, and it came with a lot. The soup and bread that it came with were fresh, warm, and delicious too. Definitely would come back!! The workers were also nice. Great place“

“This was our first time having lunch at Blooming Grove, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the extent of the menu options. There was so much to choose from that it made our decisions more difficult. Our server, Allison, was delightful and very efficient. We enjoyed our delicious roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe sandwiches, and the French fries were exceptionally good, too. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. We will definitely be back again!“

“This place has a real family feel and they make you very welcome. The food is better than some high end restaurants I have been to and the portions are huge. My favorite is the eggplant parm with hot (spicy) tomato sauce. I think I could eat that every day of the week.“

“I've been going to this restaurant for over 5 or 6 years. The atmosphere has definitely gotten better, but thier service in the restaurant isn't great. I visited last week 1/29/24. There were four of us with no one but another couple in the restaurant. We saw the waitress 2 times. Too busy talking and hanging with management . She looked like his daughter and she was not minding the table. Bar service is nuch better with John.“

However, if you want a real pizza and the Giuseppe Brothers aren't available you could do far worse than Marco's. A surprising four stars in Jersey. Five stars in Iowa.“

“We were there for dinner on Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was great, loved that we could bring our own wine, and had great service. The filet mignon, Bob’s seafood, bread and dessert were all phenomenal. The only thing we wouldn’t recommend is the lobster bisque. “Three families went here for dinner celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was so good, but honestly it was the staff that overshined everything! They were so friendly, so accommodating, and so kind to all of our kids. The owner was so accommodating and so warm to all of us. I can’t speak highly enough about how great the staff was. We don’t live nearby but when we are here we will for sure go there for dinner.“
