Owned by the sweetest old couple, I've been coming here literally since I was 5 and it brings me back so many memories! Hands down the best handmade noodles and broth. I do recommend eating it there though, noodles get soggy in broth when taking out.
The best bowl of handmade knife sliced noodles outside of Chinatown. Cash only, no frills hidden gem of a joint. The menu is taped on the wall, the portions are generous, and nearly every time we've gone, we're the only customers in the room who aren't able to speak the language -- the place is the real deal.

This is one of my favorite no frills hole in the wall spots! It's a mom and pop shop run by a mother and her son. They make Chinese food that is more Southern style (I believe they're from Yunnan) and are consistent with their quality of food. They're cash only, super old school since they don't do delivery or have a phone number and are only open on certain days of the week (at the time of writing, 4 days a week).
