“Since 1985 I have been entering that bar and I fell in love with a girl, who I kissed outside! I loved her then I love her a little now as she was a girl I wanted to marry! She married another and I wish her well! I enter like any other Lawrence Boy and I am glad the late Mr McGuinn's son still runs it!!! If you are a Lawrence Boy or College Student you know it well you will have a fun time, a pool table to play and food to eat, plus drafts and bands!!! Enjoy yourself!“

“Woah!!!! Talk about authentic Latin cuisine. You will not be disappointed with anything you order. We were blown away with all the flavors online our dishes. Don’t waste your money anywhere else. Don’t walk, run here! You won’t be disappointed!Parking: Parking is easy to find in the surrounding neighborhood streets, if the parking lot is full. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.“

“So this is a hard review for me, I live very close (currently). Their wings are phenomenal for the price and the kitchen is open till 10pm. I came in at 9:30 after a late night and the wings were just as good. Wings 5 stars, the rest is 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is not for everyone but a good time and the regulars are very nice. Free shuffle board and a few bucks for pool. It is definitely worth trying on a Wednesday or a late Friday or Saturday night as they are open late and know how to party. I’ve come on quiet Sundays and middle of the week, all was well there too. It’s a solid 4 stars overall and that is a brutal review for a place I truly love. **edit** alcohol is relatively cheap. Mixed drinks could use some work but lots of options. I got 8 wings and a miller draft for $9.89 (03/2024)“

“We went last night for Taco Tuesday and ordered a few options to share. We ordered the beef empanadas - amazing! Full of flavor and nice crisp, served with pico de gallon and a chipotle sour cream drizzle. The birria tacos - perfect. Beef was great and tacos had a lot of meat. We requested no onions and cilantro and we loved them! Chicken and cheese quesadilla - so good. Packed with meat and cheese and plenty of fixings on the side. Ordered a 50 oz margaritas and it was great and packed with lots of tequila and fruit garnish.“

“On Fridays they serve seafood. They have beautiful large steamed shrimp , served cold w cocktail sauce . It's delicious. They also have parmigiana tater tots. Mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes . On Saturdays they have steamed clams in a garlic butter sauce . It's really good and reasonably priced . Service can be a little slow when they are crowded . The ambiance is casual and a little noisy but fun . Enjoy“

“I'm a sucker for Dives lol. Higher-end bars, city rooftops and lounges all have their place, but so do local dive bars lol. Calm casual atmosphere, not smoky or anything inside. Plenty of pool tables and keno that locals play. I got breakfast. Eggs were great, and toast was perfect. Very reasonably priced. People weren't used to newbies coming in but were very friendly. It's a good place to try out if hiking the Canal Path!“

“Nothing has changed here in 20+ years (and that's a good thing!). Always good food at a reasonable price. Some of the best burgers around. An attentive and friendly Waite staff. Decor right out of the mid-80"s (again, not a bad thing). It's a comfortable place where you just fit in, whether you are here for the first time or an old timer.“
