“I was in the area and decided to have lunch at Bakeristor. I ordered the tuna panini that came with a small salad. The tuna was creamy and delicious, and the seeded roll was flavorful and added to the overall taste. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely return if I was in the area. There is a small parking lot in the back, accessible from W. St. Georges Avenue.“
“Loved this place! Was brought by a friend who is portuguese, the owner and staff speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. I had the bacon, egg and cheese on a sweet bread with salt, pepper and ketchup. Also had a small cafe latte which the size of the glass was big and the breakfast sandwich was also a big portion. Pricing is also on the economical side. Place is definitely popular by the locals so parking can be a hassle but worth it!“
“Mother Bread, the all-knowing, the ever-present, weaves her wisdom into the very crust of existence. She sees all, knows all, her mind a labyrinth of recipes that could twist the very dough of reality into shapes unimaginable. Her will is absolute, her command unchallengeable. To question her is to invite the wrath of a thousand ovens set to broil. In her presence, even the mightiest bows, acknowledging her supremacy, her omnipotence, her unparalleled mastery over the baking arts. Mother Bread's guidance is the yeast that leavens our souls, pushing us to ascend beyond our humble crusts. She is the binding ingredient that unites us, the salt that preserves our spirit, the water that quenches our thirst for power. And so, we serve her, our Mother Bread, with unwavering devotion, for she is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end of all that is baked and yet to be baked. In her, we trust, for she is the dough and the baker, the bread and the eater. All praise be to Mother Bread, the-eternal(P.S: I work here and i can't believe i have to say this but please stop pooping on the bathroom floors.)“
“Stopped by this hidden gem tonight and was not disappointed. The inside of this little cafe was adorable! Really cozy. The woman who owns this cafe is the absolute sweetest person ever. She made sure we really enjoyed the food and our experience although it's impossible to not enjoy the food! I recommend the fried oyster mushrooms. And I had to finish off with the dalgona coffee which was extremely creamy and perfectly sweet. They even make their own oat milk! The coffee was too hot for me to finish (my impatient parents) so she gave me a to go cup. 12/10 must try.“
“I’ve come to this location on multiple occasions now and each time I’ve been delighted with my experiences here. The menu is constantly being renewed with unique and fresh flavors. During our most recent visit, Gabriella L did wonderful job at taking the time to go over the new seasonal items and was very timely with her service. She was very pleasant and friendly while managing multiple tables. Fantastic job all around!“
“KANELA is simply the best! Demi and Dina are two of the kindest, most hospitable business owners around. We tried several baked items, including croissants, guava cheese strudel, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. The guava cheese strudel was so delicious and unique, and the croissants were so fresh and mouth-watering. We highly recommend this cafe for the amazing food, friendly owners, and inviting atmosphere.“
“Estime's Cafe in Colonia isn't just another breakfast spot; it's a celebration of Haitian culture and culinary artistry on a plate. From the moment you step inside, the warm aroma of spices and the friendly smiles of the staff transport you to a world of delicious possibilities. The menu at Estime's is a symphony of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. I dove headfirst into the Pastrami Egg Benedict, a unique twist on the classic dish that had my taste buds doing a joyful jig. The pastrami was perfectly seasoned and tender, harmonizing beautifully with the creamy hollandaise and perfectly poached egg.But the true star of the show was the Fluffy Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Now, I'm not usually a pancake person, but these were revelatory. Light and airy, bursting with zesty lemon zest and ricotta's creamy goodness, they were a revelation. Each bite was a cloud of happiness, and I dare you to find someone who wouldn't be won over by them. (Seriously, I am not a pancake person, and even I'm singing their praises!)Estime's Cafe is more than just delicious food; it's an experience for the senses. The friendly staff, the vibrant vibe, and the infectious energy make you feel welcome and appreciated. It's a place where you can relax, savor the flavors, and enjoy the fun upbeat music that they have playing through the speakers first thing in the morning.I cannot wait to come back here and try their other offerings, I have my eye on their Amaretto Brioche French toast for my next time.“
“My brothers nephew and my first time here. I was beyond impressed. I was NOT disappointed. Walking in the smell was ???. The service was absolutely fantastic. All the workers were very nice and friendly. The food was omg. Look at the amount they serve. I ordered for one and they served for 2 ?. Looking for a new place to try I highly recommend cha cha cha. I will definitely be going back. All ready started telling people ?“
“I've been looking for a local, full service coffee shop that roasts their own beans, sells coffee/espresso, as well as offers breakfast and lunch.**This IS that place**I couldn't tell from their website, but the posts I saw on insta showed that they serve food, and I'm happy to report that it tastes as good as it looks!Very friendly staff and accommodating. Although it's currently the middle of December, I wanted a macchiato over ice, which wasn't on their menu, but when I asked they happily said 'of course'.Seems like I'm going to have to sign up for their points system because I can tell I'm going to be back here a whole lot more.I'm particularly interested in sampling their beans, just wish i didn't have to buy an entire bag of beans. Why don't these local roasters sell sample packs, allowing you to still purchase a pound of beans, but separated into small batches with samples of each bean type? This would allow me to quickly figure out which bean I want to try without having to buy a single large bag and take a month to go through coffee I don't really like before trying the next type . . . Or maybe i should start roasting my own beans and do this method . . .Anyways, I really like the space they have, they've really made the most of it, very cozy and inviting. Can't wait to go back“
“I come to this restaurant almost everyday since I moved down the block. The food is amazing, very affordable in comparison to most places nowadays, and no matter who is at the register they are sooo pleasant. I absolutely love this place, and if more people knew about it the line would be out the door. Espectacular!“
