“This was our 2nd time coming to Red's Leaf Cafe and each time has been outstanding! The food is great and the owner is super friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast the first time, vegan scramble and pancakes and today we went for the Tofu Panini and the Kuku sandwiches. We also had the homemade soup and crispy potatoes. “Tasty food with lots of choices for the whole family. We did takeout for 5 items: --Wok Fried Noodles - bouncy and satisfying! --Bao Sampler Platter - Really good, especially with chili oil! This came with different fillings: Pork with Scallion, Chicken with Corn, and Beef with Onion and you can have them steamed or fried. I super recommend getting their add-on of Spicy Minced Pork Chili Oil which really elevates this dish. --Jasmine Boba Tea (customized for my request of zero ice, zero sugar) - pretty good, but the boba was kinda hard. --Crab and Pork Soup Dumplings - Pretty good. These are very likely much better eaten in the restaurant. In general, the filling was slightly too dense and the wrapper was a little too thick compared to the same dish I've had elsewhere. --Bao Chicken - A family fave. This came with 3 pieces of broccoli and was heavy on the chicken which had a light coating and yummy sauce. The portion lasted my kids several meals. With food this good, this spot can take a bao. ;)“

The drink menu is creative with seasonal specials as well a milieu of regular caffeine requests. I opted for an iced vanilla cinnamon latte. Eventhough the weather is getting chilly, it's impossible for me to transition to hot coffee just yet so no judgement, thank you! Espresso was quality and the tres leches donut was a dream. To balance, I split a turkey and cheese croissant with my partner. It was brought warm, cheesy melted, was especially comforting. Service was stealth and kind. They took the order thoughtfully and my items were ready in less than 5 minutes. All came deliciously prepared. There was decent seating while people were studying and chatting, a great space to rest and relax with good seating for those who are disabled or in chronic pain too. My visit was practically perfect, but the prices are steep with $6+ for a small latte. If you need any coffee accountrements like filters, pour over materials, fredh espresso beans, this is also a great spot.“
“We stopped here unexpectedly when seeing it after eating at the pizzeria next door. There is a tent outside the front door of the restaurant where you could sit outside at a bench if you like. We had parked at the metered parking lot across the street, so we needed to put another quarter in to stay and have dessert here. It's a Portugese / Brazilian restaurant & bakery. We were shocked to see that it opens at 4:40 in the morning! There were several breakfast dishes on the menu. They also had sandwiches, empanadas, and most importantly desserts ! I was excited to see they had chocolate flan ! Omg this was sooooo good. It had chocolate sprinkles on top AND they drizzled chocolate sauce over it. It was so creamy and decadent. I highly recommend this for chocolate lovers. My husband and his brother split a piece of cake. To me, it slightly tasted like sweet cornbread with chocolate icing. To go for the next morning, I took home one of their dulce de leche donuts. Omg this is so good. The donut is not as sweet as an American donut, it's more sweet bread-like. It was absolutely filled with dulce de leche caramel and topped with powdered sugar. The guy that waited on us was very friendly and I think he was amused at my excitement finding all these goodies there. The inside of the restaurant is very casual with several small tables. This place was fairly popular as folks kept walking in and ordering. This is definitely worth the stop here for their baked goods.“
“Van Gogh's Ear Cafe has been a fixture in union for quite a few decades. Yes decades ! Atmosphere is very different and unique let's say it has evolved from one year to the next. Sorta my grandma used to have one or I remember seeing it somewhere. Service is very efficient. Very on the money. Although the decor changes by the minute the food is not to be overlooked. Especially there BLT it's Outstanding to say the least. A must try.“
