“Been meaning to try this place for awhile , finally went today and it didn't't disappoint. I placed an order for 60 Lahamacun and it was told it will be ready. Went to pick up and it was ready on time. They pack every 10 in a neat box. Fresh bread was just coming out of the oven and I had to try. The lahamacun is thin and made fresh, the seasoning was perfect. One of the best I tasted in NJ. The bread was fresh, soft and delicious also. Definitely going back to try the pides and pizzas. The staff was super friendly and even helped carry the boxes to my car.“

The food is spectacular too - I took 2 animal eaters and a vegetarian to the restaurant and they couldn't tell the difference between the kebabs and meat. All involved are big fans of Mediterranean food, and we needed to be in this area to head over to a show afterward. So it ticked all the boxes. What I figured would be a good dinner and convenient turned into an extraordinary meal. We ordered everything to share and we ordered a lot so I feel like I tried the whole menu. Everything - literally every dish - was truly excellent. Cocktails were also terrific. Particularly the espresso martini and the margarita got raves. I am so impressed with the original recipes of the food and the ability to train the cooks to maintain loyalty to the original dish. The ingredients they use are high quality. My dad is an excellent cook and when I eat at Shiraz I feel like I am eating back at home. I should also mention I am a vegetarian and really appreciate the new vegan options - the gheimeh (vegetable stew) is a must. And the saffron ice cream — it’s what perfume would taste like if it were edible. The jazz band (with the clarinet) also created such a nice atmosphere. Located in Wayne off of Valley Road, Jackie Small is a bright, comfortable, and cozy eatery with 13 two-seater tables open during breakfast and lunch. There was no wait upon entering and being greeted by the staff, Hector. Their menu, inspired by traditional Middle Eastern recipes, is vast, featuring their popular shawarma grain bowl, Greek salad, as well as French toast, avocado toast, grilled cheese, blueberry pancakes, veggie bowls, BLT's, etc. It's first come, first served, as one orders at the counter, has a seat, and they'll deliver your food to your table. I decided on Smalls Scramble consisting of 3 eggs soft-scrambled, Gruyere cheese, roasted tomatoes, truffle home fries, and multi-grain toast. To wash it down, I went for the Mango Supreme smoothie (mango nectar, strawberry, banana, honey, and pineapple). The food was perfect—great portions and very good quality. I wasn't too hungry but I always order Lebane which is my taste test for I like the food. It was delicious. As was the cold eggplant appetizer. My friend ordered the shephards salad and arrived with bright healthy portions with fresh tomatoes (how??) and cucumbers. Dressing was a red wine combination and complemented the salad. I would have like olives on it but it was fine. Another friend order the phyllo cheese straws which were perfection. Hard to eat only one! And she ordered the lamb chops which were tender and yummy. Perfectly cooked. Very fair priced all the way around. Service was excellent. Ambiance was cozy. Finale was perfectly cooked pistachio/walnut baklava. Lightly syruped and light and buttery heaven!! They're softer than the ones people are used to getting, but firm enough to really hold some hummusBowl/Wrap ingredients :BASES-med couscous: light and fluffy, not porridge-esque-warm garbanzo beans: Held their integrity during cooking so you're greeted with big pillows of seasoned goodness-farmers mix: more than just Romaine-reminiscent of a garden mix (arugula, kale, etc)SPREADS-zesty Feta: no words can do this justice. Chunky and full of love-roasted eggplant hummus: brought an almost Smokey flavor as opposed to regular hummus-Kalamata olive hummus: recommended by the young man making my dish and WOW so glad he did. The shell has a crisp but you won't worry about breaking a tooth-dolmades : if you're afraid to commit to a full order, here's your chance to try it ! You won't be disappointed-tabbouleh : such a lovely addition to the meal you just created. Adds flavor with the mint/parsley/onion heavenly goodness-cabbage: tried both the white and red at different times and both were tasty. Felt that the white took in more of the flavor around the dish while the red just added crunchDRESSINGS-any tahini option is the right answer. If you're not familiar with the taste of tahini to begin with (earthy if you will), then I would recommend a flavored one-roasted red pepper tahini: a gift from above ! There is a slight sweet yet smokey flavor that wraps everything together-garlic jalapeño tahini: not as spicy as you'd imagine so it just gives a nice lil zest to your dish-lemon & olive oil : depending on what you put in your order, this will help with overall texture. If you opted out of wet stuff (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) this is your choice !Lastly,The Earth Burger: like a big ole falafel and WOW did not disappoint. Maintained the integrity of the falafel (crispy outside, soft inside) while giving you the satisfying big bite you're looking for. Only complaint is since it is such a hearty size, maybe a size of tahini or tatziki should accompany it. But if you ask, they’ll give you a side !!Basically, this is a great asset to the area.Kind staff, smiling faces, clean sitting area and portion sizes that will have you stuffed all day!Their in house lemonade is the BEST !“

The interior is really charming, with wood and exposed brick making it feel more like a relative's home than a bar in midtown Manhattan. There's bar seating, and a few small tables. Overall not many seats, expect a wait if you try to come at peak times. Drinks were fine -- good beer selection and a list of cocktails that was balanced, without being overwhelming. Service was excellent, the bartenders were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit for a more intimate get together or a date!“

Had to remember to bring wine since they don't serve rose . They only serve full and some half bottles of red and white since they don't have a liquor license. Someone needs to tell them rose is a staple in Mediterranean cuisine. Good service although a bit annoying on the back end when we were asked four times if we were ready to clear plates so they could turn the table. I'm a noise snob and they accommodated moving us from a table underneath the speaker. We took an early ressie at 630 and it wasn't too crowded or loud. But as we left closer to 8pm it was packed and too loud for us. Would definitely go back again when in town and take an early ressie and bring my own bottle as all their wine selections are about $40 and my nice bottle of rose was less than half that.“

“Alright! Where do i begin?! There were 4 people behind the counter and when i walked in, all four greeted me. The manager greeted at the ordering station and didnt overwhelm me to order my food as this was the first time being there. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. “I randomly stumbled on this location after a quick Google search of "best cocktail bars/lounges in Hoboken." I was not disappointed, the location it self is right at a corner and cannot be missed. Parking is tricky as it is fairly residential but there is a nearby parking garage. Upon arrival I was greeted by the most sweet, attentive, and professional hostess that guided me to my seat and made conversation. In the background there was live music. A guitarist was serenading the atmosphere with his lovely voice and music selection. I sat at the bar and was immediately checked on by the bartender who went down the line of what my taste profile was, favorite type of spirit, and made a recommendation based on Gin and it was delicious. Ended up ordering two. Then she made further recommendations which all hit the mark. Although I did not eat, the people next to me ordered food that looked quite appetizing. Being in NY and commuting to NJ for this bar was the best decision I made that night and I will be back. This place is great for vibes, date night, dinner, or a quick pre-game. “I went here yesterday for lunch oh my was I blown away, the star of the show was our server Ayleen the woman is brilliant her smile lit up our day so professional and respectful she also has an extensive food knowledge like I've never seen before she knew every ingredient and exactly how to explain the menu, now let me tell you the place was super packed she had so many tables I saw this woman fly through the restaurant servicing quickly and with a smile on her face she's absolutely amazing she gave me manager vibes I hope this place knows what they have she's one in a million, I'm actually a restaurant manager myself.
