“Amazing Pizza. Really well made. The Cheese was just right, the sauce was just enough to have taste but not overwhelming. The crust was soft yet not undercooked or chewy. It taste like it was made with care and love and not rushed unlike some places. I have had many pizzas over the years and the pizza from this place is top tier. Well worth the price. “Restaurant Review: Hidden Gem in Philadelphia

We decided to try this restaurant in Philadelphia after seeing its great Google reviews, and it didn’t disappoint!

When we arrived, the restaurant was quiet, with just one other couple dining. The ambiance was simple, though the seating arrangement felt a bit tight, and the table was smaller than a standard four-person dining table. However, the experience more than made up for it.

Our waitress, Harwinder, a nursing student, greeted us with a warm smile and exceptional hospitality. She took the time to explain the menu and even served us complimentary onion bhajji, which was a delightful start to our meal.

I opted for the Lamb Karahi and Garlic Naan—my first time trying Lamb Karahi, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The spices were perfectly balanced, and the lamb was incredibly tender and flavorful. My son chose Paneer Makhani and Bullet Naan. While the Paneer Makhani wasn’t as creamy as we’re used to, it was still delicious. The Bullet Naan, however, turned out to be much spicier than expected—truly living up to its name! My son couldn’t handle the heat, so we switched dishes and ordered a Rosemary Naan to cool things down. The Rosemary Naan was a standout—fragrant and perfectly baked.

To finish, we treated ourselves to Malai Kulfi, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. We also appreciated how affordable everything was—the pricing felt very reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Overall, this place is a hidden gem with incredible food, excellent service, and great value. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!

“This restaurant is an absolute gem! I went with friends thinking it was going to be a pretentious with food that I wasn’t going to enjoy and be a heavy meal. I couldn’t be more wrong. Our dinner was a creative journey that the chef took us on. We had the Sunday prefixed 4 course dinner in which each course was a delicate and flavorful experience. Nalini our waitress was a pure joy- knowledgeable, funny, attentive without interfering with our experience. She described each course like she was describing a work of art. Please if you’ve been looking for a new place to try, definitely put June BYOB on your list.”

“This was our first time at Champs, as we are visiting from out of town. We searched Google to “find cheesesteaks near us” and Champs came up with amazing reviews. Let me just say that all the reviews are correct! John and Nick took great care of us from the time we walked in til the time we left. The cheesesteaks were incredible, the bun was nice and soft, and the fries crispy. Trust and believe every time we’re in the area, we’ll be stopping here to get our fix! Thank you Champs, especially John and Nick!!!!”

“I wish I knew this place sooner! The owner was so inviting and amazing . I ordered 2 items, I came into the store not only was she nice, but she also made FRESH chive dumplings for me to eat while I was watiting for my food. Not only that she got me a free dessert to try and a free thai tea for my wife to try as well. NOT giving five stars because of the free food etc. But the food and drinks were actually AMAZING. I'm a vietnamese/ malaysian and Thai food reminds me of home. It's hard to find good thai food here in new jersey. Now that I've tried this place out I will be back for more! The location can be easily missed, if not paying atttention but please you guys gotta give it a try TRUST!”

The Tad Phai was excellent along with the veggie and pork rolls. Next time we are trying the red and green Curry. This is a must visit. Don't let the size of the restaurant fool you.”

“Gorgeous location, great service, and most importantly the food is amazing. I fervently wish Irwin’s existed in my hometown as I’m sure I would become a regular. As it is, I will definitely be going back the next time I’m in Philly. The setting, on the 8th floor of an old school building, is extremely cool and aesthetic and they styled the space beautifully with lots of plants. The view is wonderful. I went with a friend and we shared a “girl dinner” of four desserts followed by pasta. I keep thinking about the gelato I had, which was flavored with sweet cream and topped with a layer of honey and a mound of pistachios. The sweet and salty combination was amazing. Another standout was the orange olive oil torte with a bay leaf-infused cream. The lemon pasta was simple with a depth of flavor and strong umami. The bathroom also gets excellent lighting for selfies. Highly recommend.”
