It is a bit pricey, but the food is good especially if you're ordering their main dinner items. The food was INCREDIBLE. Appetizer, meal, dessert one thing was better than the next. The crab cake was perfection, the owner Victor (what a gem of a man!) suggested the meatball appetizer, the cheesecake and bread pudding…GET THESE! The bread pudding was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. This is one of my favorite chicken Francese entrees in the area! Since it's my favorite dish I've probably ordered it hundreds of times in NJ. The chicken is thin and cooked well, the sauce has the perfect amount of lemon, and the pasta when cooked al dente pairs great with the sauce. The staff is always professional and service is typically quick. Since this establishment does primarily takeout, expect to wait longer Friday-Sunday. Expect to use street parking, which can be a little tricky when it's busy for a quick takeout order (however I rarely have trouble except for a Friday or Saturday night). This is a classic pizzeria style restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but the food is delicious.“

Menu does not have gluten free items labeled so had to search a bit for what I could eat and ask more questions. Explained my gluten sensitivity to the waiter, he assured me that my dish would be gluten free. I ordered the scallops with risotto and I noticed the crispy leeks and should have asked more questions, but my dish still came out with the flour-coated crispy leeks on it. For that reason I would not consider this a celiac-safe restaurant. The scallops were delicious and lemony with capers. Would definitely get this again. My family member got the cowboy steak and gave me a taste and the texture was amazing, super tender and it was cooked to perfection. The seating is good for groups, reservations are a must.“

I actually found out this place from a coworker of mine and figured I would give it a go because I was in search of a different Chinese food restaurant to start ordering from. I won't name places, but when I first moved to the area in 2010 I went to a different place for a few years but their food quality went WAY down (and way before Covid so that can't even be the excuse). Then I found another place who's food I liked but after Covid their prices skyrocketed.So I gave this place a chance and so glad I did. The pricing is beyond reasonable, the food is always delicious and the service is always fantastic. Also, the salad lack today's salad expectations. For one, the dressings are thick and processed. They need to be fresh prepared in house. Also, bring back the old recipe for the drunken clams. It was the best around and we've tried many. It's all there at Woody's for a nice casual meal. It just needs to be rejuvenated.“

I loved the guac we ordered for appetizers. Nachos were okay, I have had better. The entrees both were good, flavorful and good portions. They served the rice/beans in tortilla cups so more food to eat! (Not that we finished it all) I took off 1 star because the service was really slow. It took them 45 minutes to give us just appetizers and another maybe 50 minutes for the entrees. We waited for quite some time for the food!! Also their fountain drinks are flat. Just order something bottled instead! When we went they were out of stock on most of the advertised bottled drinks.“

“Been coming here for years the food is always great. My family came yesterday for a birthday. The chips and salsa they give you while you wait are great . Fried nicely with a nice warm almost chili like salsa. The house vinaigrette that comes with the salad is amazing. I frequently order the chicken villaroy as my entree and it's so good. All entrees come with family style rice and potatoes that are almost like chips but still somehow soft and almost French fry like. I finished off all my food with a chocolate mouse cake and it's amazing . Took some bites of the fried cheesecake as well and was also great . The staff are all so friendly.
