“Every time I go the food is perfectly cooked and the drinks are spectacular. We had not gone to this place since before COVID and decided to go back in November. it was just as we remembered. In fact, my wife loved it so much, she wanted to come for her birthday which was only a few weeks away in December. “Simple and easy. I was in and out. Love their Italian hoagies but felt like a hot dog, just plain with sauted onions. I used to go to wawa, but they never have any available. My favorite meal has been osso buco. I also like the different chicken or veal options over a choice of pasta service with soup or salad. I always get the soup. Their minestrone is very good. My meals have been usually good to great with the exception of my last visit when I got Chicken Maximo serve with old ruddy small asparagus pieces and a watery tomatoe based sauce. I will skip that in the future.“

“I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. It is by far my FAVORITE food so I like to try different places. This is by far the BEST pizza I've had in a REALLY long time. The sauce has the right amount of sweetness and not acidic like most. The cheese is just the right amount, not too much and definitely not too little with that good quality stringy texture to. It has that nice coating of reddish orange grease on top that we all hate to love. The crust is perfectly thin where the slice flops down making a perfect fold. Next time I'll ask them not to cook it as long but that's just a matter of preference.The service was quick and very friendly. It's also the best deal I've seen in ages. $10 for a large pizza! They have the right size olives but I bought the ones in the cold display case which still have the pits in them ?.There was a customer already there who was friendly and made it a welcoming experience. The employees were...well...working...so no warm greeting.Since the place was recommended by a few folks, I ordered a Tonno Tuna sandwhich. It contained VERY little tuna. For $10.95 I guess I was expecting at least half a can of tuna on it.I guess WaWa and Gaetano 's have my expectations too high ?. “My wife and I moved out to Lumberton over 20 years ago and never visited the Red Lion Inn. Our first time was in November of last year, and we were very impressed with the food and service. Now, we try to eat there at least once a month, depending on our schedule. The food is fantastic and filling. You don't get small portions. If you haven't been there, stop torturing yourself and go. They had a chili special the day we went. The chili was hearty and good. The tony sandwich was great. The roll was super soft but not mushy soft. The taverna pasta was huge. “The food and service at this place was amazing! We had calamari, brussel sprouts and the sausage and figs for an appetizer. They were all delicious! The bread is wonderful too - very fresh. For entrees, the 3 of us had the chicken parm and 1 had the salmon special. Portions were huge! The chicken parm is thick with a nice crispy breading - the tomato sauce is a little on the sweeter side which I love. For dessert we had the creme brulee cheesecake which was delicious as well. The only drawback for us was it was very loud in the restaurant with 2 large parties behind us (it wouldn't prevent us from going back though - the food was so good!) We felt bad for our waiter because he was basically shouting at us so we could hear the specials. The service in the restaurant was awesome. The servers/waiters were very attentive. We all had our drinks refilled promptly and our bread basket wasn't empty for long. We truly enjoyed our night out with our family. We'll be back again.“

The staff were all very nice and the entrees were delicious and plentiful. “Found this place almost by accident yesterday while driving between kid's baseball/softball games. Soooo happy we stopped! My husband and I got slices and my son got fettuccine Alfredo! Dessert: we had the peanut butter pie and tiramisu...can't miss. It's a somewhat small reminiscent of a small Italian village eatery inside. I am aware of all the variables that go into crafting a fine pizza pie and I must say, for $12.99 I was very impressed. This place makes a very fine pizza pie. High quality ingredients and craftsmanship is obvious. The crust was great, textured bottom, not too thick/thin, soft, chewy yet crunchy too. The sauce had great flavor and balance of sweet/salt/acidity. The cheese was a little greasy, however the flop was minimal. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants GOOD PIZZA!
