“Fabulous place to host a private event in their beautiful downstairs area. The buffet was one of the best I have ever been to, the dressing on the salad was exceptional. The owner was very accommodating and the menu offered a variety of choices that took into consideration allergies and dietary preferences. not one complaint on any of the food. our server dona was terrific, the place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, lots of parking available and very reasonable prices. I have also been there for lunch and highly recommend their flatbread. Love this place and will be back often.”

“I never ever ever ever feel obliged to review restaurants. There are hundreds of reviews that speak and echo anything I would say about the delicious meal I enjoyed. But what is compelling me to post this was truly the regarding the service I received here. It brought me to tears!!! Patricio and Dylan were the most considerate, kind, attentive and understanding waiters I have ever met in my entire life. After dining in the tri-state area my whole life, exploring cities like Chicago and LA through food, I’ve been conditioned and numb to lackluster waitstaff and typically take the approach of trying just to avoid them spitting in my food, but Patricio and Dylan completely floored me in their attention to detail, knowledge, and service that showed me exactly what good waiters could be. Living with GI issues and intolerances, I consistently feel like an inconvenience at restaurants and that the entire responsibility of making sure I don’t fall ill after dining is based on how I modify the menu and pick around my plate. EXCEPT here at Rails with Patricio and Dylan, I had the first care-free dining experience in my life, their thoughtfulness allowed me to be truly present with my family, enjoy the wonderful food being served, and just live in the moment, which is so important to me. Dylan was explicit in the detail of every dish and always helped me navigate what was coming around and being served. Now, back to the tears, when I subtly mentioned in passing to Patricio that I couldn’t eat dairy and couldn’t partake in the birthday cake, he brought me a delicious sorbet flight, unprompted, just so that I could feel a part of the festivities. “Great breakfast bagels, flagels, bialys, and more! Every morning made fresh, savory, and delicious. Food is consistent. Customer service is on point. A family run shop. They treat you with love and respect. Like you’re walking into grandma’s kitchen. Great sense of humor. Best part (besides the great food) is that if you call like 10 min ahead, they’ll have it ready for you when you come in. No wait time! As a Montville resident, I will always be back!”

“I’m a fan of the pizza, but the 1 guy behind the counter really pissed me off last time I went, completely ignored me standing by the slices for at least 5 minutes, I had to say are you going to help me? On top of this, I was charged $12 for 2 slices and a soda? I really started to think if the guy behind the counter was blind or couldn’t see.”

“Looking for a change in ordering Chinese food and was very happy with this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup was so flavorful. Just the right amount of hot and seasoned perfectly. The chicken chow mein was delicious with lots of chicken and a wonderful sauce. The pork fried rice also was nicely prepared with excellent flavors. Even their egg rolls were nice and crispy without being greasy. Will be adding the China Pavilion to our list of takeout locations.”

“I would like to start the review with saying that our server Tony/Antonio was THE BEST. He is a gentleman and a scholar and amazing person and is great at what he does. I went to with my fiancé, sister and brother-in-law to Montville Diner before going pumpkin picking on a Sunday. The food was great! We'll all had breakfast, my sister and I both ordered the western omelet and added cheese (American and Mozzarella), bro-in-law had eggs benedict and my fiancé had a plain scrambled and home fries. Cozy Diner with normal diner pricing, solid food, and even better service. Will be coming back and would highly recommend to check out.”

“I think this was a very tasty option for a plain pie and salad. Great price also. I really liked the pizza. I prefer thinner, not crispy pizza and this was perfect.
I agree with some comments that the front lady wasn’t the nicest, but I don’t think she was intentionally mean or rude. She seemed like she was just doing her job, and doing Few things at the same time.
I’d definitely go back when I’m in the area.”

“This hidden gem is cozy and delicious. The servers welcome you like family, to a tucked-away, intimate dining space. Service is both smooth and friendly. The spanakopita are melt in your mouth delicious, and the varied color of the black and white sesame seeds on top offered a nice contrast and a good crunch. The hummus is fresh and creamy, while the capers and olives on top offer a wonderful zing. Served with warm, fresh pita…yum. The grilled halloumi with apricot jam and toasted walnuts is not to be missed. The zucchini chips are thinly sliced and lightly battered, and cooked to perfection. They melt in your mouth. We love to order a fresh and zesty salad, with lemon and dill and crumbled feta in great balance. They make a great side of perfectly crisp falafel to go with it. The burrata salad is also outstanding, with fresh arugula, toasted pine nuts, and a delicious balsamic glaze to finish it off. My kids love the Greek fries with feta. Don’t miss the homemade baklava ice cream, or the bougatsa, a flaky baked custard, for a tasty finish to the meal. This restaurant is such a find. They treat you to caring service and consistently excellent food. They really care about the experience they create for their patrons. This is a hidden gem.”

“First time stopping in. The food was great. And the price was very reasonable. The place has great atmosphere, clean & so much to choose from. Staff was super friendly. Especially Brooks, who went above & beyond helping us try decide what to order. I'm not kidding when I say everything looked so good. He kindly gave different suggestions. He took time to explain different options, what they were and how they were made. Any questions or requests we had were met with nothing but kind responses. Will definitely be back!”
