“Great local place with large selection of draft beers, home style cooked meals, and great appetizers. From the Soprano Sandwich to the scratch made Chicken Pot Pie, you can’t go wrong here. This used to be a legendary dive known as the Neshanic Inn that closed prior to Covid, only to be reopened as Riverside about five years ago. Its menu has evolved since then and I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had there since. The owners are hard working people that strive to offer a down to earth, yet quality vibe.”

“After living in the area for almost a year, I finally got around to stopping by Readington Brewery. As it was our first time, we went with two flights ($15 each for 4 tasters). I'm not a fan of IPAs so I went with their Choco-Nutter Porter, 1814 Stout, Red's Red Ale, and Beauregard Blueberry Wheat. My wife tried the Jägr Lager Czech Pilsner, Mt Fuji Japanese Lager, OBEN Hefeweizen and their local American lager. The Choco-Nutter reminded me of a Reese's. The 1814 had a strong roasted taste. I liked it. The Red's red ale was good but I think Ashton's Scarlet Knight is better. The Beauregard smells like a blueberry muffin and that's where the blueberry ends. I didn't get any blueberry notes. The Mt Fuji had a lemon scent and taste. I'm not familiar enough with Japanese lagers to know if that's expected. Of the four my wife got, she liked the local American lager best. There was a live band going on when we pulled up. Normally I check the hay cart parked on Route 202 for goings on. The woman behind the counter was very helpful in guiding my wife's flight choices based on her tastes. I'll definitely need to return more often.”

“I rarely give a place all 5 stars across the boars, but this placed earned it for sure. From the minute we walked in the door the owner was super polite and greeted us offering us taste samples. The prices are good for what you get. The ice creams are made in house and are so rich and delicious. This is def a gem. Would highly recommend to anyone.”

“My husband and I came for our 5th anniversary and had the best service and the meal was better than we could have imagined!!! We had Ellie as a server and Mike as a bartender, and it was the best experience we’ve had at restaurant since before Covid. The Stella pizza and octopus appetizers were recommended by the staff and they did not steer us wrong! The drinks were well made and the ambience was perfect!”

“When I say this is the best hidden gem in Sommerville!!! If I could give them double stars I would!! My favorite is the empanada, they come in different flavors and they taste like a grandmother's handed down recipe!! Just amazing, please show them some love.”

“This is one of our go-to spots for takeout! We love everything on the menu. We order from here a few times a month and always get it when we are hosting visitors. The cheese chutney sandwich is incredible. I love the rose lassi- such a unique flavor and pairs perfectly with spicy dishes. Definitely a must-try!”

“Very happy we found this place! The ambience is great for brunch with friends or partner and it has decent seating. We ordered the avocado smoothie and Vietnamese frappe which were both good, but the best was the Vietnamese pastry with chicken. It was so good that we ordered four and took some to go (for a party of two!) lol.”

“Coming here for years. Some food items have gone down in quality, namely the pork chop and mac and cheese. Pork chop used to be really cooked to perfection and moist, however lately it has been dried out and overcooked. Mac and cheese lost the amount of cheese it usually has on it, and noodles were undercooked the previous two times. Must have changed the cooks in kitchen, who knows.”

“Short menu but it's not the usual, predictable selection you'd find at most Italian restaurants. The bruschetta was perfect, the beef was done to perfection and the gnocchi with shrimp was excellent. Service was attentive but not rushed and the room was quiet and well-appointed. Don't be put off by the outside appearance. Once inside, you'll get a great meal.”

“Tacowala is a really great option for large events. Amish was incredibly welcoming and helpful in helping us choose how much and what to order for my guests. We fed 40+ people with the tacowala catering event, it was all correct and greatly organized. I would recommend this to anyone hosting a large party as a great option for vegetarian mexican inspired indian tacos!”
