“We found this place while working in the area and decided to give it a shot. Located on Lock St in Newark. The outside looks inviting with music playing and seating outside. Inside is newly built with plenty of seats and a bar area. The menu is all online as is the ordering. I ordered the Vermont rooster sandwich which comes with fries .. it's a deep fried boneless chicken thigh on a brioche bun with lettuce tomato and pickles with bacon cooked perfectly. My buddy had the cheese steak which he said was really good and he's a bit picky. Tons of cheese and a horseradish aoli spread. They have salads and pizza as well. Don the owner cooks everything from scratch and it really shows once you dig in! Nicely plated and priced right. They also serve dinner after 4 pm. “I saw some of the negative reviews in advance and was hesitant to show up-- but our friends who were with us and had been here before assured us it would be OK --and it was great-- the menu selection is not large-- 3 of us had grits w/ shrimp and the 4th had the hamburger no complaints -- french fries were great and a side of 4 cheese macaroni also great as was the corn bread appetizer (good for dessert also) -- a lot of alcohol choices- good attentive and swift service by an attractive wait staff-- perfect for pre show meal before nearby NJ Symphony--“
“This place has very good service!I called to make a delivery today and they attended me very well.I order a plain large pizza,Garlic Knots and buffalo wings.The food is okay it can do better but it’s pretty decent.The Garlic knots were dry and could’ve done better but overall All service was amazing and the food as well.When they forgot something for my food they said they would quickly deliver it to me again and I really appreciated that.100% totally recommend.Amazing people and the food also Good ?“
“Would give 10 stars if I could! Shikhana was super nice and the ice cream was amazing. Super creamy and tasty. If you like chocolate covered pretzels, consider the sweet and salty caramel pretzel flavor. Just moved to the neighborhood so I’ll DEFINITELY be back!“
“Their coffee drinks are nice, with some creative combo. The indian(?) lady is very upbeat and dynamic, wonderful presence. I'm not as keen about the pastries which are supermarket level, heated and delivered so hot that you burn yourself, and ultimately saggy. A good spot to grab coffee on the way to campus.“
“OMG! We wanted to hit Tops Diner but it was packed so we looked on Yelp for something different. Im so glad Tops was packed because this place is amazing. Greeted by very friendly staff, sat quickly. Our waitress was great, answered all our questions. Get the wings with the house sauce, we got buffalo and house. We agreed we are getting the house sauced wings next time, they were both good but dang that house sauce. Had the Seoul sister with jerk chicken, amazing. Fiancee had a sandwich with the sweet potato tots, also amazing. Pound cake is delish!! I actually took a whole one home for dessert for a dinner party the next day. Everyone raved about how good it was. We're an hour away but I will drive a 2+ hour round trip for this food again!!! Go here, you won't be disappointed.“
