“Can a slice of cake be life changing? I'm literally in the middle of eating a slice of their strawberry sumac cake and I'm definitely feeling that way. It's so dense and moist but still also fluffy and refreshing? The flavor is deep and complex but still accessible and it has a rich level of sweetness without being cloying. It's a slice of cake that can't be consumed mindlessly - it stops you in your tracks when you take a bite because it's THAT good. I'm being long-winded but as someone who has eaten more cake than advisable in their lifetime, I am grateful to have ByClio in my neighborhood as a place that not only delights but excites with every new flavor offered. We liked the smaller, slightly sweet, baked, 8-to-a-box, red roast pork buns better because of the higher meat to bun ratio. I tried the salted egg custard bun for the first time and it was pretty good. Comparable to Go Believe Bakery on Grand, which always has a consistent amount of meat but less airy bun.“

“First and foremost, their pastries are wonderful! Came in the morning when everything was well stocked. They had a variety of bomboloni (Italian fried doughnuts), croissants, cookies and muffins. They had at least 3 different flavors of bomboloinis (orange spritz, blueberry/raspberry, strawberry cream) and at least 4 type of croissants (butter, everything, basil cream cheese, espresso). There were even more but I've forgotten. I got two sweet and two savory ones plus an Americano. The total was $28 which in my opinion is a decent price for NYC. I saw a board outside that a breakfast sandwich and drip coffee combo is $9. Other than what's displayed, they also have a food menu. I noticed someone ordered an everything croissant with egg and salmon or prosciutto. It looked really good so I will definitely be going back for that. They have a large space. There are cozy seats and tables at the front. The back has plenty of tables and chairs. They even have a long bar table with high chairs against the wall opposite their open kitchen. They also placed a few tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Most importantly, they have one clean handicap assessable restroom. Next to that there is a storage area that they tried to shield with trees. I appreciate they try to make the space pretty and clean.“

“Before you go here you should know you can only buy 3 bagels w/ a side (butter, cream cheese, etc) for $12( you cant buy a singular bagel! There’s no bacon, egg bagels or anything like that! The only thing I didn’t like is that you had to cut the bagel open yourself with a wooden knife & put your cream cheese inside & the whole point of buying a bagel sandwich is that you don’t have to make it yourself ( if your on the go or anything) and here you have to, which I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point of the shop. But I might as well buy a 12 pack of bagels & butter at the store for less than $12 and do it at home because it’s the same thing.Anyways I stumbled upon this place & would definitely visit again because the bagels were delicious & crunchy! There was a line but it went super fast because all they do it throw the bagels in the bag & give you your side.“

I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. “I just can’t get enough of this place, it’s sooo damn good. I came to vacation here in New York once again after coming here once during wrestlemania 2019. I immediately came here during the cold raining storm drenched just wanting my key lime pie!!! TOTALLY WORTH IT! Everything tastes very high quality.I just got everything on the menu . I don’t care how much it cost. The chocolate is smooth, creamy and dark. It pairs really well with key lime pie. You can actually taste the graham cracker crust, I’m shocked because so many pies mask the flavor of the crust with their artificial sour tart lime filling. Not this pie!! And last but not least, the key lime filling is perfect. Not extremelySour or tart, just right and creamy. With a hint of lime flavor.Prior to our arrival, my sister was angry and upset that I made her walk with me to Steve’s during this crazy cold windy storm. Her mood changed once she tried the pie. Saved me the stress of having to deal with it.Ugh I’m leaving today morning back to LA. I’ll miss this place very much. I wish there was a Steve’s in Los Angeles. Rol Relleno de Pistacho

“On a serene Sunday morning, my friend and I embarked on a culinary adventure to indulge in the famed croissant rolls that had taken Instagram by storm. As expected, the bakery was bustling with eager patrons, forming a snaking queue that hinted at the treat awaiting us. Amidst the anticipation, we eagerly selected two croissants: one pistachio and one chocolate, adhering to the limit of two per person.Upon sinking our teeth into the delectable pastries, we were met with an explosion of flavor that surpassed all expectations. The creamy filling melded seamlessly with the flaky exterior, creating a symphony of taste and texture that left us craving more. However, we couldn't help but notice the limited availability of the croissants, especially on weekends. This posed a challenge for those traveling from afar, hoping to share the experience with loved ones. While the quality of the croissants was good, we couldn't help but feel that the bakery could benefit from producing larger quantities or additional batches, particularly during peak hours. Despite this inconvenience, our experience was nothing short of delightful, and we eagerly look forward to our next visit but hoping that they do a better job managing their demand!Parking: There is a parking lot right in front but really expensive, which is typical NyC! Better to use public transport if possible!“

“Really impressed! We asked Stuff by SJ to make a custom cake for a pizza-themed birthday party. Working with them (Drew) was super easy and stress free. They were helpful, responsive, well priced and even delivered our cake to the restaurant ahead of the party. Everyone complimented the design and taste of the cake so it was a big hit. I’d definitely go back to them for our next cake.“

“This unassumingly-named place is popular and for good reason. They make their own soy milk and 豆腐花 (tofu pudding) fresh every day. You can get it in a small or large takeout container. ($2.50 for a small thing of warm soy milk; not sure what the pudding prices are, but that's clearly their best selling item.) They also make other sweets and things like 粽 (Chinese tamales), which is next on my list to try!“

“I always regret not buying more when I come here! Got a pineapple bun with red bean filling and it was AMAZING. Was pleasantly surprised that the red bean filling only had a slight touch of sweetness (I suspect this is made in-house so they can control the amount of sugar added). Bun was a hefty size so I told myself to leave the other half for tomorrow but ended up inhaling it in one sitting. Will be back for more!! :)“

It's a five star bakery near me that I don't know about! I'll be walking just their door today! I also got the zucchini soup which was bland as heck! Not worth taking a second bite. No flavor at all. That was expensive for horrible. BUT.... Excellent baking! Serendipitous pastries! Neighborhoo gem!“

“I'm always on the lookout for good bakeries. And when I say "always", I mean it. I'm constantly looking for another source of tasty pastries. Even after years of being in New York, my standard for bakery excellence is Mah-Ze-Dahr. They do everything so well- their croissant monkey bread is crave-worthy (with crunchy flakes of sugar pearls and orange blossom glaze and bits of real croissant), their carrot cake is insanely moist with just the right amount of decadent cream cheese frosting, their brioche donut is amazing, their sourdough croissants have got that uber-buttery flakiness. My mom raves about their scones, and I've heard great things from friends about other items, too, both savory and sweet. In short, you cannot go wrong with Mah-Ze-Dahr. It's so consistent, and so delicious.“
