“I read the reviews for this restaurant on Yelp and that's what got me here. Hopefully, my review will do the same for you. This restaurant is perfect for meeting up with friends to have a very nice, casual, reasonably priced, excellent meal. We had delicious hummus (as good as hummus you eat in the Middle East) as an appetizer, served with small triangles of wonderful, warm pita. For the main course, I had the special, quinoa salad with sweet potatoes, feta and other veggies - delicious! My friend, a personal chef, also ordered a special - the hummus bowl with Brussel sprouts. She enjoyed her food as much as I did and was impressed with Bella's Kitchen food presentation. We will be back.“
“Absolutely a must to dine in. Food is amazing the presentation perfect. Waiter and waitress were so helpful and kind. My wife and I highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Eggplant appetizer was amazing. The falafel was right on with delicious humus“
“Best thing to happen to this food strip in AGES!Fresh ingredients and tasty recipes. The price is appropriate for the type of food you're getting, but even more so-the portion sizes and flavor are top notch. We've already stoped in multiple times so here are some of our take aways :-dolmades: honestly, the best l've ever had. And I try them EVERYWHERE. Not cheaply portions either - solid roll and you get 5 in an order. WORTH IT.-pita chips: clearly homemade and SO delicious. They're softer than the ones people are used to getting, but firm enough to really hold some hummusBowl/Wrap ingredients :BASES-med couscous: light and fluffy, not porridge-esque-warm garbanzo beans: Held their integrity during cooking so you're greeted with big pillows of seasoned goodness-farmers mix: more than just Romaine-reminiscent of a garden mix (arugula, kale, etc)SPREADS-zesty Feta: no words can do this justice. Chunky and full of love-roasted eggplant hummus: brought an almost Smokey flavor as opposed to regular hummus-Kalamata olive hummus: recommended by the young man making my dish and WOW so glad he did. I'm not a huuuuuuge olive fan and this was just a nice essence of kalamatas. I was afraid it would be too potent and take over the dish. QUITE THE OPPOSITE! Will never look back from other options!-tzatzki: mild flavor and perfect accompaniment to anything it touchesPROTEINFirst off, they offer the most GENEROUS protein portions. You 'get 2' so they let you do a full scoop of one and a full scoop of the other. Falafel is about 4 balls per serving so you can mix and match with another protein-Moroccan steak : nice sized slices/bits of spiced meat-lemon chicken: you can taste the citrus without it being overpowering. Also in nice sized pieces-chicken shawarma: insta classic ! The meat is almost buttery it's cooked so well-falafel: my personal favorite. You can taste how fresh they are ! No dryness here! Great Big Crunch surrounding a little pillow of happiness. And if you choose this as your protein, be prepared to be AMAZED at how much you get!TOPPINGSUnlike other stores of this kind, the toppings bar is unlimited!!! And that doesn't speak to the quality of the ingredients. Again, everything is so fresh and taken care of properly. Most of this part is self explanatory so I'll just touch on the parts we found interesting:-chickpea croutons: not nearly as hard as expected to be so that was a plus. The shell has a crisp but you won't worry about breaking a tooth-dolmades : if you're afraid to commit to a full order, here's your chance to try it ! You won't be disappointed-tabbouleh : such a lovely addition to the meal you just created. Adds flavor with the mint/parsley/onion heavenly goodness-cabbage: tried both the white and red at different times and both were tasty. Felt that the white took in more of the flavor around the dish while the red just added crunchDRESSINGS-any tahini option is the right answer. If you're not familiar with the taste of tahini to begin with (earthy if you will), then I would recommend a flavored one-roasted red pepper tahini: a gift from above ! There is a slight sweet yet smokey flavor that wraps everything together-garlic jalapeño tahini: not as spicy as you'd imagine so it just gives a nice lil zest to your dish-lemon & olive oil : depending on what you put in your order, this will help with overall texture. If you opted out of wet stuff (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) this is your choice !Lastly,The Earth Burger: like a big ole falafel and WOW did not disappoint. Maintained the integrity of the falafel (crispy outside, soft inside) while giving you the satisfying big bite you're looking for. Only complaint is since it is such a hearty size, maybe a size of tahini or tatziki should accompany it. But if you ask, they’ll give you a side !!Basically, this is a great asset to the area.Kind staff, smiling faces, clean sitting area and portion sizes that will have you stuffed all day!Their in house lemonade is the BEST !“
“Amazing food, ambiance and service. The sampler of humus, labne-beets, babanush is unique. The trio sampler of lamb, chicken and shrimps was tender, flavoured and delicious! For that platter, a bit more sides would be better. Regarding the desert the goat milk ice cream was simply amazing!!Value for money. Highly recommended-“
“Izzy was my waiter and host- very welcoming, helpful, and professional. As great and fresh as the food was, Izzy definitely went above and beyond to make a great experience even better. The food was authentic, freshly prepared but came out in a timely fashion. Baklava was light and flaky- the vanilla ice cream accompanying it had crushed pistachios on top- really went above and beyond for the little touches that might get overlooked by some clients. Shows a real pride in their food and service.Decor was of a bistro and had ample space. I did not feel crowded by other tables or patrons.Glad I happened on this restaurant. I will definitely be back again soon.Parking: 100+Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor access directl from parking lot which had well over 100 spaces shared between the strip mall.“
“Alright! Where do i begin?! There were 4 people behind the counter and when i walked in, all four greeted me. The manager greeted at the ordering station and didnt overwhelm me to order my food as this was the first time being there. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. I got the brown to top it all off and it was amazing. Chipotle, Qdoba, Halal Guys even have nothing on Juicy Platters. I definitely will be coming back with the family!“
“The staff at Antioch Restaurant were attentive and explained the items that were brought out.- The offered a great wine selection and is BYOB.-Karişik meze starter : Fried Eggplant With Tomato Sauce, Hummus, Tatziki, Eggplant Salad, Babaganush, and Labne were absolutely delicious-Every dish was flavorful and highlighted Mediterranean spices. My favorites were the Lamb Adana, grilled meatballs and balloon bread paired with the Karişik meze tabaği.-I also thoroughly enjoyed the Sutlac (rice pudding) and kazandibi (milk pudding). This was my first time ever trying it.-This is a great place to visit if looking for authentic Mediterranean/Turkish cuisineVegetarian options: Great selection of plant based items such as falafel, eggplant stew, lentil dishes, an array of salad options, pasta and pizza.Parking: There is metered parking throughout the block of the restaurant“
“Amazing staff and amazing food! I often place large lunch orders for my team and they always take care of us. Not only is their food incredible (that falafel souvlaki HITS every time), the chef and management team are so kind to us-- we are so lucky to have developed a relationship with these wonderful people.“
“We tried the Zinger & Hella Juicy burgers, Fries with Garlic sauce and Spicy Fries. We were amazed with the quantity and quality of food.Topped it up with Fried Orio ice cream, again absolutely on spot.It is a small takeout place with a 10 seating spots. After tasting the food I wasn’t surprised to find that the owner is a five star banquet chef with very high aspirations.“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Lulu Lounge recently, and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the host and seated at a cozy table with a lovely view of the bustling dining room. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, each expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I opted for the Lamb Chops, and it exceeded all expectations in terms of taste and presentation. The service at Lulu Lounge was impeccable, with attentive servers who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet inviting, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Overall, my experience at Lulu Lounge was outstanding, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“
“Absolutely outstanding! I recently visited Pidde Lahmajun and was blown away by both the flavor and service. Tunç and the entire team truly know how to make a customer feel special. Every bite of the Lahmajun was a delightful journey of taste, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff, especially Tunç and his friends, were incredibly attentive and friendly. It's rare to find a place that excels in both food quality and customer service, but Pidde Lahmajun does just that. A solid 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!“
“Just came in so late today before shut down ordered chicken over rice white sauce hot sauce bbq sauce man these guys no matter the time always make you feel welcome man the food and energy in this place ???? and when I eat this food this food I forget to have a beverage lol no bull man guys and they open late ? thank u guys“
“I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try because I was in town on business. The atmosphere was very inviting. My server was pleasant, knowledgeable, and very helpful in many recommendations. I ended up with the lunch special kebab. It came with the most delightful salad featuring best flavors! The main course was a generous portion of chicken, rice, and another salad. I would definitely make it a point to visit here again!“
“Hands down this is the best falafel I have ever had. So fresh, so tasty, and is truly made with love. The interior of this restaurant is very unique and homey. I also had the kufta sandwich that has since become my new favourite. The service is always top notch and the plate presentation is always very impressive.“
“Great meal before a show at Tarrytown Music Hall! Excellent service! Fresh and delicious food. We ordered shawarma sandwich, amazing and hummus with falafel! It was the best falafel I have ever had. Light, crispy outside, fresh served on creamy hummus with a piece of fresh, hot & soft pita bread. We even ordered more falafel! The prices are great as well. We will definitely be back!“
“We had our baby's first birthday party / Korean dohljanchi at Mado and it could not have been more perfect. Aret and everyone at the restaurant were so wonderful to work with. They were happy to work with my requests and made party planning so easy. The space was the perfect size with ample parking for our guests. The food was amazing and everyone raved about the pillowy bread, dips, and entrees. Highly recommend it whether it's for a family meal or event. (Photos by Lisi Halabi Photography)“
“Very friendly and cute place. The beef shawarma wrap was delicious and my wife loved her quinoa salad. They also sell very unique Middle Eastern food products. I tried the sweet pickled garlic and it was really good. Tasted exactly like the Korean pickled garlic.“
“Best Mediterranean food experience, such a delicious food really like the octopus and salmon everything so tasty and fresh. Like the service waiters are so friendly and professional. Highly recommend for who is looking unforgettable food experience.“
“Had lunch here on a Wednesday with my aunts. Seafood dishes were delicious. The hot chocolate was ok, a little too sweet for us, but not as rich as we expected. The staff was nice and attentive without being over-bearing. Fine atmosphere for conversation. Would highly recommend for well-prepared foods, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere.“
“The restaurant was hopping on a Saturday night. It was obvious why-our food was great and our server was very pleasant and fun. The only drawback was the noise level which was quite loud and difficult to hear the people at our table. Perhaps this was because the restaurant was so full of happy energetic diners. Some kind of acoustic mechanism to absorb the noise would be a great addition!“
“Visited for dinner with my family. We ordered the Mezze dip platter to share, and it was the highlight of the meal. Very generous and comes with hot assorted breads. We ordered entrées to share. The schnitzel, pargiot, lamb kofta, chicken shish kebab were delicious, and we had sides of Israeli salad, green beans, rice, and hummus with beef. Everything was hot and fresh. We had a few pictures of lemonade of homemade lemonade with mint. We had chocolate mousse for dessert.Service was excellent. Atmosphere is great for families. This is some of the best high-quality kosher food, and I would recommend for any occasion :)“
“Solid place. Out of risk, that when i post this it may be more difficult to get a table..... but food is awesone... and service is well the best.... but tbjs needs to be recognized. 5 stars ! BYOW too and no corkage fee too. Sweeeeeeet!“
“I picked my food yesterday at restaurant while i waited for it, the lady (anastasia) enlightened me more about the menu and the food. She was great and friendly!!! definitely at place that i will be back for food and the for the great customer service.“
“This place is DELICIOUS.I originally found this place online via Postmates and loved the food. I recently came here for dinner with my parents and loved it.The staff was super kind and helpful and the food was delicious. I will be back again.“
“I had been to del arte before and always had a wonderful experience. When my mother passed away in december we reached out to have her repast there. They were WONDERFUL to work with. Everything went seamless and was perfect. The staff is wonderful! The owners are the kindest people ever & especially during such a difficult time were caring, understanding and just really great to work with. We were so happy we booked my sisters baby shower and again had the same experience. I can not recommend them enough.“
“Awesome food! Best Persian restaurant/ chelo kababby in the area hands down!!! Happy new year!Vegetarian options: Great salads and falafel! Provides fresh awesome feta cheese on an already great salad.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff place and awesome owner.“
“Delicious food and cute little gem of a restaurant. Had the place to ourselves on a week night. The place is BYOB if you would like any alcoholic beverage. Liquor store right across the street almost. Will return for sure to try other choices off the menu. ☺️Vegetarian options: Had the vegetable stew and it was so yummy. The hummus, red lentil soup and avocado baba ganoush were total winners for my vegetarian selection.“
“Came in for the first time. The place is clean and well decorated. Nick (behind the counter) allowed me a few moments to browse the menu and then greeted me. We talked it through from beginning to end and he politely provided his recommendations based on what I said I liked EVEN down to which dressing to choose so as not to combine too many salty flavors based on my other choices. The food was outstanding. I had the create your own bowl: octopus & shrimp. For a quick healthy lunch spot this place is 5/5. Food & genuine service ?.“
“Vegetarian options: Not a vegetarian myself I love my meats. Went here 3 or 4 times before even realizing it was vegetarian which to me was all the convincing I needed that they have some amazing foods. Nothing felt like it was lacking at all.“
“A great homy place with good eats. The souvlaki was nicely charred, bronzini was so fresh, the dessert were a hit and you must try the cheese flambé. Super friendly family run place that makes you feel like you are part of the family. The decor could use an update but there is a certain charm to it.“
“Honestly, you do leave the restaurant with a new family. My family would fist fight each other but Nisiotis will cure it all. The food is amazing, tops every other Greek food. I cannot and will not have enough of it. Its all I dream about. The kids love it. It’s amazing to feel part of a family, especially if dining with Nisiotis.“
“Had an excellent meal here. Hummus was incredible. Mixed grill? Wow. Only thing that was meh was the falafel. Cooked a bit hard for my taste but everything else was perfect. My waitress was very kind and helpful. I'll most definitely be back“
“It’s my first time here and i love the food and the service and warm welcoming stuff. Perfect small family restaurant, i strongly recommend this place, if you wanna have some great mediterranean meal you should definitely come here or order online.“
“My wife and I ate at this restaurant a couple of days ago with friends. The restaurant is self serve and you pay at the counter. My wife had a slice of pizza with tomatoes and onions, I had the eggplant parmesan and fried breaded cauliflower and we shared a leafy put together yourself salad and vegetarian sushi. The food was excellent, very tasty and filling. The atmosphere was what you'd expect from a self serve midtown/downtown business lunch place--not a place to take a romantic first date that you want to impress--but we'd highly recommend this restaurant if you want some quick great food at a reasonable price.“
“This is the sister restaurant to Cafe Alaia, just up the street. Vincenzo Alaia keep a close watch on both venues and sees to it that they adhere to the same high standards. The food here is superb (there's a new chef from Italy who is even better than his predecessor) and though the wait staff (in the absence of the wonderful Cesar) is a bit green and easily overwhelmed, it's still a very satisfying place to spend an evening. Great food, a little overpriced, in a warm and inviting atmosphere.“
“I drive almost half an hour to come to this location. The staff are lovely, the store itself is gorgeous, and the food is just HEAVEN. I got fresh made taboulleh and it was PERFECT. As good as home recipes! and their shawarma bowls are always to die for! I can't stop coming here, truly a wonderful place!“
“The first time I came here was after my Mom's funeral. We were so lucky to have found this place for this very special gathering! We were so impressed with the food, the service and the warm decor - and all thirty+ of our guest's rave reviews - I have now returned over seven times just this past last year. I have now been there to celebrate multiple birthdays, and JUST because we were somewhat close to Westwood...and each time there wasn't a dish that wasn't absolutely delicious and deserving of rave reviews. I was just there this past weekend with a friend (who had never been there) and my daughter. Again, choosing different items on the menu - the food did not disappoint but rather, again deserved the highest accolades! My friend could not stop raving - even the following day. Next month we have planned a family gathering for about 15 people...and everyone is looking forward to sharing the incredible food. You will not be disappointed with the any of their entrees - but their Skirt steak, Persian Seafood Pasta, Moroccan Chicken Tajine, or Braised Lamb shank deserve special mention as they have multiple "loves" attached! Mezza has the creamiest most delicious hummus ever eaten along with their incredibly good crispy cauliflower. Just writing this makes my mouth water!“
“This place is mostly fabulous. Appetizers and salads are delicious. Prices very reasonable. My chicken souvlaki was the weak link. Not bad at all but compared to the appetizers (fried calamari and zucchini are exceptional), it's slightly disappointing. And the rice was undercooked. But the dips were all yummy and the Greek salad is quite good.“
“Absolutely fabulous place. I have now been around 5 or 6 times and it has been consistently excellent. Wonderful drinks, wonderful staff, and some of the best food I have ever eaten - seriously. The octopus is to die for, the crab cakes are gorgeous - everything is SO good. I have been on holiday in the Mediterranean dozens of times and this food rivals (and is often better than) the majority of food there. I can't rate this place highly enough!“
“My friends and I had a great dinner at Sazon y Pilon one Saturday night. I was so excited to try this place out. I ate SO much food and felt SO full afterwards so it was definitely a lovely experience. The restaurant is in a strip mall type area with plenty of parking. The restaurant has a very fun vibe to it, with a bar on the left when you first walk in. We were greeted and taken to a four top table. It's a bit smallish on the inside. We started with drinks. I ordered a coconut mojito and it was so delicious! I highly recommend that drink. It was creamy and minty and perfect! We ordered some empanadas for an appetizer and I wanted to try the black bean soup as well. The black bean soup was SO good. It came with sausage and sour cream. I had a shrimp empanada that was just ok, and my friends said the chicken empanadas were just ok as well. For dinner I ordered the Bistec Encebollado and my friends ordered different kinds of Mofungo. The Bistec Encebollado was awesome! The steak was cooked perfectly and the onions were delicious. It was a good sized portion, so I took half of it home. My friend shared some of her Mofungo with me and I didn't really like it. It tasted a bit too salty? I'm glad I went with the Bistec entree! For dessert you know I have to order the tres leches cake. When it first came out I thought it looked a little dry and was feeling like it may not stack up but boy was I wrong! It was definitely airy and moist. I loved the added cinnamon on the top. It was great! I also want to give a shout out to our waitress, Marissa, I believe her name is. She was so patient with us and our questions and she made great recommendations for us. Thank you Sazon y Pilon for a lovely girls night out!“
“After a busy shopping day, we decided to have an early dinner. The food was phenomenal and it's BYOB. We had the gilled octopus appetizer very tasty not chewy. The chicken soup was perfect on such a rainy day and the chicken souvalaki platters were delicious. The baklava and Greek coffee were excellent. The service was professional and friendly. Eat here you will enjoy!“
“My wife and I met another couple for dinner last night at roses. I was searching for a restaurant on yelp in the Englewood area as it was halfway between our friends and I. Made a reservation for 530 and when we showed up we were the only customers in the restaurant. not a lot of atmosphere, but clean. The menu looked interesting. We ordered hummus & Babaganoush To share, I had the mixed grill, my friend had the Rosies mixed grill. My wife had the Shawarma and her other friend had the chicken kebab. Everything was fresh, moist, and excellent, particularly the Shawarma. One other family of three came in while we're eating, but otherwise, the restaurant was empty. Our server was attentive and respectful, and took good care of us. He told us that they are usually very crowded on the weekends - understandable since it was Monday of a holiday weekend. We will definitely be back again !“
“We enjoyed the meal very much and the service was warm and responsive. The ambiance could be enhanced by a style makeover but this factor was not enough to spoil our enjoyment of the evening. Overall 4 stars. Recommended. We will eat there again for sure.“
“I have been going to this restaurant for years and every-time I have received wonderful food and service. The chef is Persian and makes authentic Persian home style food. I recommend dinning at this place. They have the most variety of food in the menu like Kaleh-Pacheh and Abgoosht-Dizie compared to other Persian restaurants. Very kind and attentive staff.“
“Wow!! Small little place. Was in ENGLEWOOD and was told to check this place out. Glad we did. Everything was delicious. We started with Humnus with mushrooms which was outstanding. Came with fresh pita .They started us off with complementary bread and hummus with Amba. Amba is a peach sauce. Was outstanding. I went with a chicken Schwarma in a Laffa I highly recommended this restaurant“
“Katherine at Cava in Bergen Town Center deserves the highest praise! From the moment I stepped up to the counter, her warm smile and infectious energy set the tone for a fantastic lunch.Katherine's knowledge of the menu was impressive. She guided me through the choices with genuine enthusiasm, suggesting delicious combinations I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Her recommendations were spot-on!“
“Have not eaten in... Just take out. But the food is delicious! Recently got a couple of platters. Packaged really well in sectioned trays, keeping the cool (salad stuff) away from the hot chicken and falafel. In the past I have also ordered shawarma and schnitzel by the pound for a party and was very happy.“
“We could not be happier with how our evening turned out at Olar Noso.A pretty place located right off of Tappan road, there’s ample parking and not a long wait time around 20:00 to be comfortably seated. The restaurant is spacious, lively but not noisy, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Liv, our server, was on point with giving explanations and suggestions on the entrees. We absolutely loved the Salad: I think it consisted of: shredded ricotta salata, pear, pomegranate, arugula, walnuts, and farro (wheat berries), yum, a perfect symphony of flavors which has become one of my favorite dishes. The three of us ordered to share, we commenced with the Gnocchetti "Little pillows" of goat cheese and ricotta with hand-crushed organic tomato, caramelized eggplant, basil, ricotta salata, we found it to be a perfect combination of flavors with every bite. Next were the pizzas; Soppressata pizza topped withtomato, mozzarella, Soppressata, chili oil and honey (the added honey complimented the chili oil). Next, I was outvoted to try the pistachio pizza.. I’ve never had this in my life and asked Liv (as a fellow foodie) for guidance… with mixed reviews, it was decidedly my least favorite, however, it would be interesting to try it with pistachio nuts in a 60/40 blend (in a Vitamix) with ricotta as a spreadable topping (similar to the way a Nutella pizza is prepared). The food was amazing, you can tell their heart is in courtship with creativity by their constant pursuit to invent new and well balanced entrees (with lots to choose from). It’s great to see the way the restaurant blends locally sourced and seasonal ingredients into new creations bringing the farm to table experience for their patrons to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.“
