“Always great food and a favorite. We've been getting takeout here for years since we moved to the area during the pandemic.The red lentil soup is my favorite and the spanakopita is amazing! We've had most items on the menu, you really can't go wrong. I prefer the Chicken Shih which is grilled and marinated chicken over the Chicken Gyro but they are both good. My husband enjoys the lamb.Because the dinning room isn't open yet and the blinds often closed, I think a lot of folks don't know it's open. It's a hidden gem in Ramsey and right near the train station.“

“We had our baby's first birthday party / Korean dohljanchi at Mado and it could not have been more perfect. Aret and everyone at the restaurant were so wonderful to work with. They were happy to work with my requests and made party planning so easy. The space was the perfect size with ample parking for our guests. “As always, Varka impressed. The menu airs on the expensive side, but it's worth it for the fresh fish and quality of the food and service. We celebrated my husband's birthday tonight. We were seated promptly, quickly asked which type of water we would like and the sever was over within minutes for our cocktail order. We had some west coast oysters and a Greek meatball appetizer, which were properly spaced, followed by two fish entrees - it's a smooth operation here. The almond cake for dessert was also lovely. Overall, delicious food and a great date night that wasn't rushed and much appreciated.“

“Came in for the first time. The place is clean and well decorated. Nick (behind the counter) allowed me a few moments to browse the menu and then greeted me. We talked it through from beginning to end and he politely provided his recommendations based on what I said I liked EVEN down to which dressing to choose so as not to combine too many salty flavors based on my other choices. The food was outstanding. I had the create your own bowl: octopus & shrimp. For a quick healthy lunch spot this place is 5/5. Food & genuine service ?.“

“Just had Yasou Thasos for the first time today (the bifteki gyro) and it was great! It’s the kind of food that puts a smile on your face after you’ve taken the first bite. The lady who took my order was also very welcoming and attentive. I will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu.“

“I love the fact that they're open for breakfast and lunch for the days I need to get a late breakfast or early lunch and lunch places aren't open until after 11. I always get their traditional gyro, but I recently tried their butternut squash soup and loved it. I'm definitely going to have to get more of it the next time I go just to take home. Not much of an "atmosphere" but to be fair a lot of places with a lot of take out don't have much atmosphere, but the staff are nice and have character.“

“It is probably the Best Greek restaurant in the whole Bergen County. I was impressed with the layout, the waiters were very helpful, and gave us the best advice, even for the pickiest of us. After the Greek salad, crisp zucchini, and grilled calamari, the Pastitsio, Moussaka, and seafood Giouvetsi all cooked in clay pots filled us up, but then the lamb chops with lemon potatoes arrived, and nobody could resist them. For dessert we had a platter of galaktobureko"milkpie" and one called ekmek, that we could not decide which was the best. We will definitely come back, but we better fast in advance.“

“This is my favorite place to eat I probably go four times a week. The staff is amazing and so friendly every time without fail. The food is so good i could eat it every day and never get sick of it. So fresh and delicious.Dietary restrictions: I have celiac, which means I have to eat gluten free for medical reasons, and they accommodate me every time. They change their gloves for me and get me all food from the back to make sure there’s no cross contamination. The staff is so patient with me. They know who I am because of how often I go and they immediately take their gloves off to change them the minute i walk in the door. If you’re a celiac don’t be afraid to eat here!“

“Great food and service. Employees care about the customers wants and give perfect recommendations for first timers (which we were). We were so thankful that they were open on Christmas as not many businesses are. The inside of the restaurant feels like you're being transported to Greece.
