“My husband recently hosted a bunch of old college buddies and their wives for our wedding! Since about 25 of them were visiting the Shore area for the first time, he wanted to make sure they experienced all the sights and sounds Monmouth County has to offer. Normally, finding something fun (and legal) for a large group of out-of-towners to do after midnight is a challenge—but not in Rumson! He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste of a local legend: a good old-fashioned speakeasy tucked away in the basement of a house, right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Needless to say, they had a blast! Whether you’re kicking off a weekend wedding celebration or just grabbing a late-night drink, we highly recommend popping into Murphy’s Tavern.”

“Stopped at Val's Tavern because we had a 2 hour gap between a wedding and reception. Service was excellent and so was the food. Our server, Gabby, went above and beyond when we needed some Tylenol. HIGHLY recommend Val's!”

“Great coffee and bakery. But! You guys need to think about the environment!!! You produce an incredible amount of garbage. I stopped by to get coffee and some cake, sat and enjoyed it. Why do I need a whole box and a paper bag for the cake? Okay. I admit that you thought I would take it with me, and that's why you packed it like that, but no, you pack everything. I drank my coffee, ate my cake, and went to the trash can to throw out the packaging filled with this packaging. Why do you produce such an amount of garbage? Could you give me a plate, and that will be enough? Ultimately, all this packaging is included in my coffee and cake cost. But why pay for it if it will all be in the trash can in a minute? Everything you do is five stars, but I am depriving you of one for this garbage conveyor. Please change your approach and your attitude to the environment🙏🏻”

“This is a small restaurant with the most incredibly fresh, homemade Italian food in Monmouth County and it’s BYOB! I have been several times and never disappointed everything has always been so delicious but it is hard to get a reservation sometimes!”

“My family wanted indian after apple picking and we couldn’t find a place until I looked up Indian and found them. It said 5 stars and the ratings were not wrong. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and there were so many choices. All of the food was worth it. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this place is in my top 3. The owner is such an amazing, hardworking, and sweet woman. She told us her story about for 20 years she’s wanted to have a restaurant yet she took the time to support and take care of her kids. It was heartwarming. She also told us a story of a father and a daughter who were starving and came to the door after close hoping they didn’t close yet. The chefs left, but she didn’t want them hungry. She still let them in and she cooked dinner for them and didn’t let them pay. It was for free. She expresses how being able to give food is a blessing and the biggest reward is being able to give food for people in need and feeding the people. She deserves this restaurant. Not only is she an amazing woman, but the bigger plus is the food is absolutely amazing. The naan, aloo papri chaat, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, lamb tikka masala, paneer tikka masala. All of it was amazing and so flavorful. For the spice levels my brother and I got medium and my parents got medium plus and the spice levels were perfect.”

“Overall, great ice cream. One of us had a brown sugar dough flavor that was great. The other had Peanut Butter Palooza (sp) mixed with plain chocolate. The plain chocolate was bland and not very chocolatey. Service at Tinton Falls was quick and friendly.”

“Absolutely love this place! Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable on everything on the menu. Yes EVERYTHING!! I personally don’t like beets but everyone I was with said they were to die for. Meatballs were amazing. The tomato sauce was so yummy. Mushrooms I would label as vegetarian steak. Beautifully charred. The sausage and peppers pasta dish is my favorite thing on the menu. I love everything about it. Pasta is always perfectly cooked. I can’t say enough good things about this place!”
