“We wandered in here on St. Patrick’s Day even though the website said they were closed on Sundays. Speakeasy bar in a residential neighborhood with friendly bar maids and locals.To crowded to order food but, I definitely will be back to try the “eats”!Went back last night for “eats “ and had the thin crust pizza, if you’re a fan of this kind of pie as am I this is your place. They have a generous drink pour also. It is now in my regular monthly rotation!”

“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The French Market for Rumson, our 108th town.

This beautiful cafe is decorated in a chic manner for atmosphere. It makes a great backdrop for your Instagram pictures.

It is mostly designed for takeout, where all orders are taken at the counter. They have a limited number of tables to eat in the well-decorated space. However, all food is served in cardboard takeout boxes with plastic utensils, much like Chinese food. (That's not very French, and not very cafe-like either.) Given the way the cafe is decorated for folks who eat in, and in a well-to-do town like Rumson, I would have expected the option to eat on regular plates w/silverware.

With that being said... the food was EXCELLENT! We both got crepes. One with egg, ham, & swiss, and the other with egg, spinach, & feta. We shared an order of French toast which was made with brioche bread. The crepes were served on a bed of salad, and the French toast was accompanied by a fruit cup.

The cafe also has a selection of pastries and cheeses. We did not try any of these, but they looked good.

If you're looking for crepes-to-go to satisfy your itch for brunch, the French Market should be on your list.”

“Stopped at Val's Tavern because we had a 2 hour gap between a wedding and reception. Service was excellent and so was the food. Our server, Gabby, went above and beyond when we needed some Tylenol. HIGHLY recommend Val's!”

“My family wanted indian after apple picking and we couldn’t find a place until I looked up Indian and found them. It said 5 stars and the ratings were not wrong. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and there were so many choices. All of the food was worth it. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this place is in my top 3. The owner is such an amazing, hardworking, and sweet woman. She told us her story about for 20 years she’s wanted to have a restaurant yet she took the time to support and take care of her kids. It was heartwarming. She also told us a story of a father and a daughter who were starving and came to the door after close hoping they didn’t close yet. The chefs left, but she didn’t want them hungry. She still let them in and she cooked dinner for them and didn’t let them pay. It was for free. She expresses how being able to give food is a blessing and the biggest reward is being able to give food for people in need and feeding the people. She deserves this restaurant. Not only is she an amazing woman, but the bigger plus is the food is absolutely amazing. The naan, aloo papri chaat, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, lamb tikka masala, paneer tikka masala. All of it was amazing and so flavorful. For the spice levels my brother and I got medium and my parents got medium plus and the spice levels were perfect.”

“Had the chef’s special …Chicken Pot Pie. It was outstanding!! Full of chicken and vegetables and this delicious sauce. I was a little concerned that the crust was thick but I had it with the sauce…it was perfect. Samosas were very flavorful as well. The chef even gave me a tasting of his pistachio cheesecake while I waited. It was to die for!! I will definitely be eating there again. You should too!!”

“I am in town on business and was craving some wings. I typed into Google “best wings near me” and this was the first option on the list. The menu looked like it was right up my alley, so I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I ordered 2 different flavors of wings. They came out promptly and perfectly cooked; exactly how I ordered them. The sauces were very good, especially the Asian 22 sauce. The homemade blue cheese dressing was absolutely killer!!! The couple that own the place are very nice and accommodating people that really make you feel at home there, the hospitality is unmatched. They absolutely set the example of how a restaurant should be run. Overall an incredible experience and I can’t wait to come back to Eatontown so I can try the chicken sandwich!! Go check them out, they will serve you some kick ass wings and make you feel like family!”

“My daughter chose this place for a special dinner on our weekend down the shore. It was great! The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone from the owner to the busboy was so sweet, fun, and helpful. We shared an assortment of starters- Thai chili shrimp, crab cake, Brussels sprouts, pistachio ricotta with crostini- and would order everything again. Our server, Brianne, was wonderful.
