“One of my favorite Italian places because it just lives very happily as a wonderful neighborhood bistro. Everything is perfectly cooked and presented without pretension. The staff are friendly and, moreover, real. You get the sense that that owner cares very much for people, which is reflected in the enthusiasm of the young waiters, even as they learn on the job.“
“No complaints about the food ever but Oscar needs to have a lesson on etiquette and customer service, otherwise he’s in the wrong damn business. He’s very disrespectful. That’s it. Multiple people I know say the same exact thing and because of that they won’t go back.“
“A great find! Love the creative menu and the food continually impresses - whether the seafood, steaks, or traditional Italian. The Bolognese and the Calamari are always on point. The service really stands out, especially Juan and the attentive bus staff.“
“Phenomenal sandwiches and other italian fare. Fried ravioli are must-trys. The sandwich selection is HUGE, and you can have them make any sandwich you like. I had the Mel Brooks (pastrami, corned beef, swiss, cole slaw, Russian dressing) on a panini. Absolutely delicious. Needed about five napkins as it was so juicy and savory. Will be coming back repeatedly and will try the italian egg rolls next time.“
“We had the baby artichoke salad and mussels as appetizers and both were fantastic. Presentation and taste were both great. For the entrees, we had the halibut and also the daily special, which was a red snapper. All entrees came with side dishes, but we also got a side of crimini mushrooms which were very tasty. This restaurant is not inexpensive, but it's worth it for a special occasion.“
“Olivia’s II is an enchanting Italian restaurant which I was delighted to discover. Everything about it made you feel at home and cared about as family. It is one of those places whereby you might be having a difficult day only to have that change by the hospitality and quality of food. I always enjoy the pizza with sausage and anchovies as well as the Brooklyn pie which is also “heavenly”. The chicken parmigiana with linguine, garlic and oil alters your feeling state and makes you smile. It is delicious! I have never been disappointed and frequent this wholesome haven regularly.Dietary restrictions: The food is cooked to order and they also have vegetarian and gluten free options.“
“Great place to enjoy a nice casual, comfortable, and professional place to eat. I enjoyed the service, and it was B.Y.O.B. I recommend a nice night out with your lady, she's worth it. Take her here, and make sure you can afford it..worth every penny!“
“This is a 5 star establishment!! Thank you guys for being here !Parking: Huge parking lot next door. A-little busy during the day but after 5 everyone leaves the office complex next door . But even then he’s got a couple reserved spots for BELOs right next door .“
“Our group dined early and it was initially quiet. As the restaurant filled up, it does get louder. Food was phenomenal as usual. The Sea Bass entrée was really enjoyed by two of us and the Burratta appetizer & Harvest Salad were quite nice.“
“My first visit to Porcini was a wonderful experience, we went for a 3-course prix fixe Valentine's menu and loved every dish. We are already planning a return visit to work through the regular menu. Wonderful service and everything was delicious!“
“This place has so far been a pleasant experience, the ambience, food and service have been outstanding and definitely the place I would like to go back to. I tried their chickens, pizzas and wine as well as in house made mozarella and everything was pleasing to the palate.“
“I’ve only gotten take out from this place, but goooooooshdarn is it delicious. We’ve tried four of the specialty pizzas, all of which elicit a happy dance. The general tsos pizza has been my favorite so far, definitely a must try. If you asked my boyfriend though, he’d say the money pie is the sure winner. At this point I’ve accepted that you cant go wrong here“
“A deli with an extensive menu. The sandwiches are stuffed and delicious. I coild only eat half of my chicken cordon blue. The mushroom soup was fantastic. There's seat yourself seating, and the place was doing nonstop takeout when we were there for lunch. Definitely going back!“
“Dinner at Toscanella was perfection! I had lasagne comparable to my homemade. My husband had a huge portion of eggplant Parmesan. Entrees came with a healthy mixed salad. Loved it! Everyone was friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable ,BYOB and great meal. Our new favorite!“
“We gave it 5 stars as we like down home, mom and pop locally owned Italian restaurants and it did not disappoint as the decor was just how we like it, Homey and Warm.Since our beloved Tuzzio’s in Long Branch closed due to Joe retiring we ventured to Red Bank to the New Corner Italian Restaurant and after passing this establishment for 22 years we stopped in carrying our own Wine….yes it’s BYOB.I ordered the chicken parm with a side salad and spaghetti and my wife ordered Zuppa de Pesci, it was all very flavorful and authentic, we will be back. One last thing Stephanie the waitress was awesome.“
“Food is phenomenal. We rarely eat Italian in restaurants since our family are such great Italian cools. But with 4.9 stars, definitely decided to try it.Bread was served warm, with delicious soft butter ( not that hard wrapped butter so many places serve),Clams oregenato were the Best we ever had.For entrees, we converted 2 of the other apps into main melas. The eggplant rollatini was served over pasta. Wonderfully thin eggplant. Super flavorful cheese. And marina sauce was spot on.The other app turned entree was the Artichoke hears and spinach over pasta. The hearts were amazing, served francais style. I want to come back just for this dish!We were too full for dessert! ?Considering the quality, I thought the price was reasonable. I am happy to pay more for such a well prepared meal.Thank you! We will be back!“
“Go Back In Time… (and I mean waaaay back) when every single bite of food, explodes with natural flavor, not spices but the genuine homemade tastes like Nonna made!Even the atmosphere brought me back decades; we walked in and were greeted by the owner with such warmth. I instantly felt like I knew him (though to be clear, I don’t). And I hope you can understand it) this is his kitchen, that he opens up to you, with love. The place- is like his home, like a big dining room. You’ll instantly feel at home, like family. He makes everything EVERYTHING from scratch and you can taste it!I had The BEST Pizza of my life! AndI had stuffed rigatoni in vodka sauce , my eyes rolled back in my head! There was so much but it was outta this world! You gotta go!Vegetarian options: There’s tons to choose from. They’ll make what you wantKid-friendliness: It’s very family friendly“
“Fantastic. Nice selection of prepared foods and pantry staples in a not-gigantic space. Super helpful staff, and maybe owner(?) helped me find what I needed, carried it to my car, and let me know if I call ahead on a future visit, they can get me what I want the next day. I haven’t tried my take out items yet but they look goooooood!“
“Zoni's is our go to place for pizza every Friday. We absolutely love coming here! Robert makes us feel like family, the staff is very welcoming, and the pizza is fantastic! Zoni's has brought the best New York style coal fire pizza to New Jersey! Highly recommend coming here.“
“This was an absolute hidden gem! We were trying to find something midway for our friends meeting us and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Our waiter was super nice and provided great service. They even accommodated a special request of clams on the half shell, and they were great. Shrimp scampi over linguine was tasty and lobster ravioli was delicious and even came with half a lobster tail. Desserts were great too. Definitely will be back. Ambiance was a little dated, but it was clean including the bathrooms.“
“First time here. Visiting my cousin. The service and professionalism were present along with great atmosphere.I had the Veal parmesan Chop with a delicious pasta. My cousin had the Halibut, which was another tasty dish. We also had the Calamari first for an appetizer. It's delicious with a slight kick with the sauce.Go and have a great Italian meal. You won't be disappointed.“
“I went into Rockerfellas and I loved it. Rico and Renee are some of the nicest people you ever want to meet and have a good time with. The food is absolutely excellent. Fun for the whole family , they catered delicious meals for my family and I ,we loved it. My kids love Rico we always have a very nice time and the customers always leave satisfied .“
“Busy little spot. I love the complimentary bread. It came fresh out of the oven. So good. The lasagna didn’t look like the most appetizing dish but it was very good. I liked the flavor. The meatballs were decent. A little bland but my son loved them. The beet salad had more mixed greens than beets. Pet peeve of mine. The branzino was ok. The zeppoles were awesome. Get them with nutella. Service was great and I would come back. Check it out!“
“I usually pick up my orders due to the condition of my pizza when I order delivery but I ordered in tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to find my pizza not sloshed to one side, the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect! I don't usually write reviews but I had to let it be known that Chiafullos is on the up and up! I will definitely be ordering again!“
“I love their pizza. Great crust and toppings (sauce and peppers) Their White Pie is good. I got mine with Broccoli. The Broccoli pieces were big which I had no problem but if you prefer smaller maybe ask them to cut them smaller.I also got their Fried calamari, which I did not like too much because it was mix with Fried Octopus, I wish it had all ring Calamari .“
“This was our first time there. The place is nice and so was the staff. Our waitress was very good. They give you hot bread when you sit down. I had spaghetti and meatballs. It was good and I loved the meatballs. You get 2 good size ones. My boyfriend had the linguine with white clam sauce. He enjoyed it! We will definitely be going back there again!! Thanks!! Cathy“
“Food was excellent. Large portions. We ordered the stuffed meatball & bruschetta pomodoro for apps. 2 of us had the special Chicken Rolletini which was huge and the chicjen was so tender. My husband had the pork Osso Bucco & other guest had Ckn Parm. Desert I had the Creme Brulee. I will say it was crowded so the noise level was high. We actually had to shout to talk but would definitely go back again.“
“we have been eating at an ordering/catering for years! The food is always amazing! The owner John and his staff especially Mike are always so welcoming! Chicken parm and penne vodka are the best! Also, always so charitable catering our sporting events at our local school events!“
“Food was good, a little expensive. We had a gift certificate we purchased online and at first the Tinton falls restaurant said that was for the coney Island restaurant and did not want to take it. Showing him the gift certificate did not state Coney Island only, he did accept it. That was the only issue that the did resolve. “
“This was such an amazing experience! George made sure my family and I were well taken care of and delivered nothing but grade A service. The owner Pasquale should be very proud of him self and servers for delivering such a breathtaking experience. I felt like I was with my Italian grandparents again who sadly left this world and really made me feel like I was in nonas kitchen. Happy Easter and thank you for this amazing experience. You have gained returning customers.Dietary restrictions: Plant based options. Italian "sausage" broccoli Rabe was incredible“
“Ordered here for the first time after searching for a new pizza place when our favorite spot went out of business. Ordered a plain pie and a focaccia deep dish style. Both were fantastic! We are so happy to have found this place and can’t wait to order again soon.“
“So been here a few times. Everytime I’ve been here it gets better & better.Last night might’ve put it over the top. Took friends who’ve never been before, and they too are hooked!Joe our server was great- Patient & accomodating. We had octopus, oysters, artichoke & meatballs for apps, then for dinner had Ribeye, Filet, Veal Marsala & Chicken Parm. Filet had fresh truffle shaved by the Head Chef at the table.End of the evening, Frankie came over, spent about 20 mins at the table talking to us, then invited us to the Speakeasy for a drink, where he continued to tell us how he got his start which is a great story. We drive from Tom’s River to eat here. This is an all around killer place that we will continue to come to.“
“Great pizzeria! Thin crust pizza cooked perfectly. Service was great very attentive. We all loved every dish we had! Especially the stuffed eggplant appetizer! Some entrees come with a salad the balsamic dressing is great. Looking forward to our next visit“
“Ordered takeout over the phone on a Sunday afternoon around 4:45pm. Quick and easy. When I picked up, order was all correct.(Large margherita pie. Large buffalo wings with Bleu cheese. Penne vodka with chicken)Easy drive to get here (right off route 36)Plenty of parking spots. They are a part of a small strip mall that includes a sushi spot, gym, dollar store, nail salon etc so parking is never an issue.Wings were the crispy and just the right amount of sauce. Pizza was perfect, melty cheese with the thin crust that was in between soft and firm.Pasta was huge.. it was packed full with chicken. Needed a little salt though.Hands down the best pizza for the price around the area. They also have a loyalty program. Just add your phone number and after you spend $100, you'll get 10% off your next order.“
“WOW, WOW,WOW, What a gem of a family owned restaurant in Oceanport. Recently, while taking a different way home I stumbled on this restaurant. Went back for dinner and I will be a regular. Why, food was OUTSTANDING-Priced for value, the family were very friendly and engaging, and the atmosphere was quaint-good for a family or “date night “ dinner-and BYOB always high on my list!“
“Beautiful room and attentive service. Food was delicious, but my only complaint would be that the Zuppa I ordered was supposed to include scallops. They apparently didn't have them or had run out that night (although it wasn't extremely busy) and without informing me, they just substituted some salmon- not exactly an even swap! I should have been told they didn't have a key component of the dish, so I could opt for another entree. It was good, but the idea it was advertised as containing scallops was a deciding factor in choosing that particular dish.“
“Start-to-finish delicious. Dishes were all prepared with care. Added acoustic panels to help with the noise. Can't wait to go back.Edit: just had the covid curbside take out. It was fantastic. This place is awesomeEdit2: been a favorite restaurant for years now.“
“Being a long-time fan of the Nino's Coal-Fired Pizza restaurant(s), I was eager to try Nino's Bistro Express once I passed it several weeks ago and found myself drawn in by the modern style of the window signage and lights. Upon passing Nino's Bistro Express for probably the third time I impulsively visited to try two slices prior to dinner, as I typically have a late lunch. What I didn't expect was to try every single slice of pizza on the counter, sans the Bella Bianco, and have that be my dinner for the night just because I enjoyed the first two slices so much. I'm happy to report that all of the slices were varying shades of excellent, as was the garlic knot. I was particularly fond of a thin square Margherita-style slice, which used an extremely high-quality mozzarella. The chicken on the buffalo chicken pie, which was artfully done, was higher quality than average. Even the red pepper flakes seemed larger and better than the typical shaker. Square pizza is admittedly my favorite style, and the Sicilian was also quite unique: crispy dough, interestingly browned on top, with the airy texture that it's supposed to have. The sauce and cheese were in a top league for this. Even the cheese pie was a great value for the quality. Every pizza had signs of freshness and quality, with incredible dough that the menu mentions is imported from Italy. Despite utilizing more conventional ovens rather than the coal-fired ovens that this once local chain of restaurants is known for, the pizza had a crispy exterior and pleasantly large air bubbles. In fact, I think I prefer this style of pizza to the coal-fired personally, which is saying a lot since many coal-fired pizza restaurants are ranked as some of the best in the world for their oven. The flavor, portion, and quality of toppings made each pizza worth trying. They were also all completely different from what I'm used to at the Brick location, in a good way. Service was friendly and served each slice with a smile. Efficient too, as I saw other customers that were in and out with a hot slice of pizza within a minute or so. It's slightly small inside, which fits the Bistro Express style, although they do serve their entire dinner menu as well. Nino's Bistro Express may just be the best Nino's concept yet, with a phenomenal variety of high-quality pizza and a more price-conscious menu.“
“Love the farm to table concept and ever changing menu. But...much aroma with not enough substance. Second time we've returned food to kitchen as it was cold. Pork chop is a venerable go to. Lamb shank lacked flavor. This place isn't bad it's just not up to where it could be. And that's a shame because we really want to go more.“
“Friendliest bar in Monmouth County. Focus is on the genuine, rather than the pretty. If you care about the décor, go elsewhere. If you care about non-pretentious, friendly folks, and cheap drinks, and good, down-to-earth food, this place is tough to beat.“
“Great small Italian restaurant with all fresh ingredients ,made with love and small Mom and Pop atmosphere.Parking: Plenty of room al, easy to pull in, and not an accident waiting to happen like many places ..Kid-friendliness: Absolutely kid friendly.. Misses Illiano gives my little boy free garlic knots when we stop in . Went to school with the owners sons 25 plus years ago and they remember me like it was yesterday...“
“Absolutely an amazing experience. I love the Staten Island location, and this is the first time in the Red Bank location. I like this location better. Atmosphere is amazing, great food, lively vibe, service is spot on, and the location is perfect.“
“For a quick, hearty meal, Enzo’s can be a good choice. It’s a family run restaurant that’s very much a big part of the local community. The grandpa pizza is one of my favorites. It has sesame seeds, pesto, tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. The antipasto salad is a great choice as a starter. And i love that they are one of the only places that has diet root beer. Yum!!“
“Excellent pizza. My family and I have been ordering from here for years. I've enjoyed their specialty pizzas and I usually order the white pizzas and/or a pepperoni pizza. Anytime I've made special requests, they've always made it.“
“Such a nice place! Came for late-night dinner, food was very good as was the service! Friendly, attentive. The serving size was plenty enough, although I could've eaten more it was that good! Chicken Alfredo very good, as was yhe chicken parm!! Bring your own wine seemed to be the trend, older crowd 50+ at the time, large groups having a wonderful time meant this was a friendly & classy place for the experienced patron!“
“Great pizza. Rustic vibes! It's located next to one of the sickest gyms. Because of this, they have a second menu for people who want to eat healthy, such as chicken, steaks accompanied by brocoli, spinach, rice! You can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu!“
“We recently have had Pastosa and Uncle Giuseppe’s open in our area and they are excellent but Nino Jr will always be my favorite. The employees are friendly and will go above and beyond to make me what I’m looking for, even if it is not in the case. Just a wonderful local business.“
“Before you enter the shop, the aroma grabs you. It brings back childhood memories of my neighborhood in NYC. This is what pizza should smell and taste like. I come here every time I am on my way to the shore. This is one hard-working family. The same people every day for ... how many years??? Looking forward to my next visit.“
“Went to dinner last night to celebrate a special occasion. Undici, like always, did not disappoint. We had a wonderful server (I wish I remembered her name) who recommended I try the Pinot noir. The board was great. The soft cheese (I’m guessing it was Gorgonzola) was incredible, and the prosciutto was divine. The maraschino cherries were a bit out of place for the dish. For my entree I had the gnocchi with wild boar ragu. It was my favorite part of the night. The meat was gamey, but not in a bad way. It really made the dish. The gnocchi wasn’t shaped like I thought it would be, but it was still great. It held the sauce very well. The Pinot noir tasted great with it. For dessert I got a biscotti caffe and hazelnut gelato. The caffe and gelato really complimented each other well. Everyone in my party raved about the gelato. The only downside to the evening was that we reserved a table upstairs, but we were seated downstairs. The acoustics downstairs aren’t great and I could barely hear anyone in my party. I don’t want to deduct a star for that though, as the food and service were incredible. Can’t wait for my next Undici trip.“
