“I’m in the area for just one night and needed to figure out where I could get a quick dinner. I saw Sophie’s Bistro and after getting a recommendation from a colleague, I made a reservation. It’s a really casual place; not pretentious in any way, but the bartender was both talented and conversational and made something off menu to enjoy. For dinner, I decided on French Onion Soup and Steak Frites and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Besides this, the bread service they bake in house is amazing and I learned about the owner and how he treats his people and that made me even happier that I came in. I wish we had a place like this where I live; I would be there all the time. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but next time I’m near Somerset, I know where I’ll do dinner. Give it a try, you’ll be happy“

“Great selection of cocktails, wines, beers, etc! It's a small and cozy space with seating at the bar and smaller tables/barrels. There is a private room in the back that can be reserved as well. I tried the yuzu cocktail and it was light and refreshing. The margherita pizza was good as well. Service was quick and attentive. They also sell a limited selection of alcohol. “We enjoyed our evening here. The food, and the atmosphere, and the drinks were great. However, the service was not up to par. Our server did not check on us once we had to continuously wave her down to get her attention to get more food and drinks. The servers need to make sure they check on the customers more often. Also have a better attitude, our server was not warm and friendly. We were left for 30 minutes unattended, and then we had to waive her down always to order more stuff.“

“As in many other restaurants, the prices continue to rise substantially at Ruth Chris as well. Jim, the waiter, is knowledgeable and efficient. Water girl could be a bit more aware of empty, or near empty, water glasses. Better yet, a pitcher of water left on the table would be welcome.“
