“A hidden gem! No one knows about this place but that adds to the ambiance... very private and romantic. Service is 5-star and prices are very reasonable for fancy food in Morristown. They recently got a new chef and had major menu changes and I really really miss a few things from the old menu. My husband and I were coming here a couple times a month because we absolutely LOVED the honey sriracha wings, BBQ brisket tacos, and thin fries. They were THE BEST and I hope they bring them back. From the new menu, we tried the hot wings (buffalo sauce might be the only option now), calamari, and the burger (LaFrieda beef) with a little bit thicker fries. They were all good but just not as good as our discontinued favorites. Also, good burger meat but I hope they change the bread they use (looks nice but it's that type of bread that seems to always taste stale... and this was very very stale). Our waiter was really awesome - welcoming, attentive, and very funny! I'll prob come back to try some new dishes during lunch.“
“PROS: The atmosphere was high end and the food was fresh. The variety was decent the menu as well. The prices were reasonable and the whole place was very clean. The waitress Jessica was a delight as a waitress CONS: You would never see this restaurant driving on the road cause it's inside what seems to be a hotel. Also, it took a while for the food to come out despite hardly any people OVERALL: I would highly recommend coming here for a fine dining experience. Ask for Jessica as well, she's the best“
“We had a wonderful, relaxed meal with super attentive (but not obtrusive) service led by Thomas Connelly. Thomas knows the menu inside and out, made helpful and considerate recommendations, and orchestrated the timing of the food delivery to perfection. Highly recommend!!“
“Impressive small plates, charcuterie, and cocktail. Great views of the valley. Perfect spot to hang out with friends at happy hour. Price was not too high, but it’s easy to go overboard. Special note: the ONLY place in the NYC area where I have been served real Sicilian anchovies (they are NOT like American ones).“
“The food was absolutely amazing. The ambiance was delightful and the service was great. We ordered the lobster bisque and French onion soup as apps and it was the best we have ever had in our lives. Creamy, decadent, and flavorful without being overbearing. Our entrees were the mushroom risotto and the seafood sensebastion and these were also incredible and nice portions for the price. All in all it was a wonderful night and dinner. We will definitely be back.“
“Had a wonderful dining experience and can't wait for my rehearsal dinner here! Stopped in the other day with my mom to try the food out. Was very pleased with the service and the food. The owner was a delight to speak to and his staff was very kind and attentive. They were able to make accommodation for me (dairy free) and provided recommendations. The table came with bread and a spread. It was fantastic! We ordered pappardelle bolognese - wow so good! The pasta tasted so fresh! You can tell it was house made. We also ordered a sandwich to split. We packed half of it up, as we were so full. The portions are huge. Very happy with this place and very excited for my rehearsal dinner in November, but I'll be back sooner for sure. My mother in law wants to try it with how highly we spoke about it!“
“What a delight! Nick, the manager, was gracious as he met us at the door and made sure we were seated at a table we liked. Our server, Hillary, went above and beyond to explain the menu, guide us to making superb choices and kept us well entertained with her wit and humor. The filet was perfectly prepared, simply the best steak I ever tasted. The sides were equally good, and we found a very nice Malbec that complimented the meal perfectly. My husband and I shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was delicious. The portion was so large, we brought half of it home. Absolutely a top recommendation. We will be returning!“
“Visited the Season 52 while traveling to Morris Plains, NJ for work. Went during happy hour which they have from 3-6pm, and the bar was full but they had high top seating open around the bar. The service was quick and the server was delightful. My food was well made and typically this comes with a risotto but I wanted just protein and veggies. It was seasoned well and cooked well too. I'm never disappointed in my time at Season 52.“
“The food was excellent. Went for a work Christmas luncheon. Service, no one really checked on our table. Had to yell across the restaurant to the bar to get a refill on drinks. That's the only complaint aside from that was very satisfied.“
“We moved to Basking Ridge 4 years ago and found Red Oak Grille next to our rental. It reminded us of our favorite go to restaurant in Texas and it never disappoints. On our last visit our waitress was busy and to our surprise she comped our first beverage order due to a delay in taking our order. Who does that?! If you have not gone to Red Oak Grille I highly recommend you go as soon as you can! As it gets warmer make sure you sit out on the deck and take in the beautiful golf course views! Great service, food and views!“
“Amazing from start to finish. From the warm welcome, amazing bartenders and courteous, attentive service the hospitality was impeccable. The owner is visible on site and engaged in creating a fabulous evening for his guests. We felt special spending our anniversary at summit house. The new menu is focused, creative and sublimely delicious. Truly unique and left us planning our next visit before we left the table.“
“The food was great, everything works well on its own or together. Wish I could rate the atmosphere higher. Our server Danielle was knowledgeable about the food and asked about allergies before we ordered. Get the crab cake if that's your thing, this was one of the best I've ever tasted. The miso salmon was cooked perfectly and could just use a little more miso in it.“
“We went to Matta Donna for the first time on Saturday night, and we can't wait to go back The food was delicious, portions good size and well priced The service was great, we loved our waitress Don't know how we missed this place, but its going to be a regular thing now“
“I have eaten here a few times and I always come away impressed. This is not your typical boring Italian American red sauce joint that is in every town in NJ. This place actually tries to cook food like you would get in Italy. Fresh ingredients are the star here and nothing is drown in sauce. They have a few Italian American classics like an excellent Chicken Parm but will also serve you a perfect Mediterranean swordfish as well. The staff is great and the restaurant is very casual for this quality of food.“
“A nice casual place with decent food. Nothing special but we wanted to try a new restaurant. I wouldn't rush back but we had a nice relaxing dinner. Chicken Parm was good, the meatball appetizer was okay. It's a limited menu but they also have a specials menu. Their pizza looked good and steak frites were a hit. It's more expensive than it should be but not unreasonable. The atmosphere is good and overall their service was good.“
“Love this restaurant. Sometimes we go sit at the bar and have garlic shrimp, red sangria and bread, the bread is a must!!!! I don’t think there is anything here that is not good. Everything is great! The meat is cooked to perfection, the seafood is delicious. You will spend money! But it is money well spent if you are looking for a good meal. The meals will come with family style veggies, rice and delicious house made potato chips.End your meal with a coffee drink and some amazing tiramisu.Parking: Some nights you can park your car yourself and it appears weekends they valet, this may allow for more parking!“
“Nice restaurant with an interesting selection of cocktails. I ended up switching back to vodka martinis, which were excellent. The other choices were a little too sweet for my taste. The food is good as well. Beet salad was excellent, short ribs were pretty good. The hamburgers didn't look like anything special but no complaints at my table. Limited menu but everyone found something. The atmosphere and service were good, nice big bar.“
“Hops is the best beer bar in Morristown. Their taps are always rotating, seasonal, and offer a wide array of styles to fit everyone's expectations. There is never a time that we can't find something local or delicious on the beer menu. The food menu has also greatly improved over the years. The pretzel burger is still my favorite item though.“
