“Stopped with a friend on the way home from a conference that did not feed us well. My friend knew the place from his past but had not been in years. The bread was incredible. I forget the name of my meal, it was a special, it had multiple meats and shrimp. You get every dollar worth of delicious food. My capacino after was great as well.“

“Service was excellent. Food was very good. But some things could be changed. For instance, serving French fries and potato chips with steak cheapens the meal. There were no form of green vegetables in the dinners. Vegetable consisted of some 4 or five dots of purried something and a few tiny cubes of maybe parsnips. Restaurant can't be contacted via phone, only internet. Big problem. Sometimes a customer needs to contact restaurant to speak to someone directly and guickly.. But this is impossible. Overall food was excellent and facility was nicely set up and very appealing looking.“

“We had a reservation and we got seated immediately when we arrived. The service was excellent The food was outstanding. Thw shrimp and garlic appetizer and the mariscada (red) were amazing. The red sangria was great as well. We will definitely be making future visits.“

Everything was very tasty and there was nothing I could complain about.Our waiter was Omar and he was very good.I'm used to going to the Newark, NJ location.I highly recommend these locations. My understanding is that the Manalapan, NJ location doesn't offer rodizio service.“

“This place is amazing. The food was fresh and huge portions. I’ve been here about 3-4 times. I like this restaurant very much. The sangria is phenomenal! Best I’ve ever had. The salad, simple but incredibly delicious. Fresh baked bread also does not disappoint. I’d definitely recommend, even the sangria alone is worth the trip. They’re definitely doing something right there!!“

“My familia and I had the rodizio. The variety and taste of meat was great. They would ask you wat temperature you wanted the meat and which one you wanted more the service was fantastic and very friendly. One of our servers, Guillermo was attentive and asked us what we wanted and would bring it. The atmosphere feels relaxing and welcoming. And then to top it off they give you roasted cinnamon pineapple for dessert. I really liked it. We have been to many rodizo, but by far this was one of our favorites. I had a caprihna drink and it was good. As you can see, my cup is empty :)“

“02.23.24 I was looking for a 'chill spot' conveniently located between work and home. I went on Yelp and this place popped up. I just got off work and I arrived about 10:20pm. This bar/restaurant was still serving food from the entire menu. Andrea made my classic margaritas (5 star). I paired the margaritas with caldo Verde soup (5 star) and clams casino (3 stars). If I get off work early again and I'm not in the mood for typical 'bar food', this is definitely my 'go to' spot.“

“Delicious food, nice sized portions, and the sangria is really good. Would have been 5 stars, but it's a bit expensive...Not enough to keep us away, just be prepared! We shared 1 appetizer, had 2 meals (we did pick the most expensive items on the menu, lobster and Chilean sea bass), 1 dessert, 1 pitcher of sangria, and 2 Irish coffees, and our bill was almost $300. But, we'll be back because it's THAT good!“

“If you're from Portugal you probably already know about Carvalho's in South River and have stood in line to sit down or order takeout in this small Portuguese neighborhood bakery/cafe. Regular customers always make me feel right at home as they welcome me with a warm smile and a bom dia!...while personnel keep order prep, the customer line moving and the tables happy with freshly baked out of this world breads, pastries, coffees, breakfasts and sandwiches. I Visit NJ frequently and while I'm there, I drive to Calvalo's early EVERY morning to have my warm Pastel de Nata (as good as the best in Portugal) before they are gone. The baked goods won't let you down as you're sure to walk out after eating with....Natas, buns, soft cinnamon breads, hearty all grain breads, almond breads, dense corn breads etc... Quality and consistency is guaranteed as you seldom see the owner in the front, always working the kitchen ensuring her team produces the best quality day in and out. “Easy parking being they have there own lot I suggest making reservations I arrived early didn’t have to wait but by the time I left it was a full house all tables takenExcellent service very attentive to your ever want… Sangria was one of the best I ever had for our main dishes we had cataplana was amazing loaded with fish and also pan seared cod was phenomenal huge portions as well couldn’t even dent it took most of it home overall extremely satisfied and I highly recommend going as you will not be disappointed bon appetite“

“Wonderful place ! The cappuccino is the BEST my wife and I have ever had. The orange juice is very fresh and tasty. The pastries that my wife and I have tasted are also very yummy. M y wife always has a veggie omelet and says it is excellent. The bakery/deli is owned and operated by a very kind and warm family who always have time to chat and make you feel very much at home and welcome. My wife and I love Nossa Aldeia.“

“I've ordered from here when I lived close.. now I was visiting someone in hospital and had no wallet on me but the owner Carlos and the sweet girl at the counter gave me a monster take home platters of the tastiest BBQ I've had in long time and he just outright gave me the meal without any money truly act of incredible kindness and class... “We were there for a private party. The wait staff was very attentive! The room was set up comfortably allowing room for guests to move around the room. The food was delicious. Assorted vegetables were cooked and seasoned properly which is not always the case at buffets. The flounder was delicious as were the chicken and meat dishes.I would definitely return to dine here again!“

“Halal peri peri chicken. How can I not go visit? This place is absolutely amazing. Exceeded all of my expectations. The restaurant itself has a prayer mat and a corner if anyone wants to go pray or meditate. They also have plenty of seats and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed. Now for the food. The chicken is so juicy and tender, and the sauce they use is simply delicious. Their fries are on another level. We got the fusion fries and the peri peri fries. Also if you get their chicken then be sure to get a side of rice. The rice and chicken pair really well together. Also I love that even if you get the full chicken they give you the option to choose white only (breast and wing) or dark only (leg and thigh) meat. Just a disclaimer for those who don't handle spice well: their hot is hot, and I have a pretty high tolerance for spice. So maybe get medium and ask for the hot sauce on the side.“

“Food is always great and very consistent. Even on Saturday night, it's ready quickly. We get take-out frequently; at least twice a month. It's so good every single time. One thing I appreciate is the quality of the chicken; so often from other restaurants it's tough or fatty which is gross, but this place's chicken is always cooked correctly with no fatty pieces. Lemon chicken is amazing.“

“I love this place! The amount of food given for the price is fantastic! I have food enough for 2-3 days with one combo platter. The ribs are SO delicious! My favorite combo is the chicken and ribs combo with fries and yellow rice. And the bbq sauce? I wish I had a whole botle of it! Service is great and the people that work here are so nice.“

“So I stumbled on this place and decided to try it because I was starving. I must say the gentleman that helped me had excellent customer service skills, was funny, courteous and helpful, the food came out pretty quickly, the environment and was clean but more importantly the food was great. Definitely would recommend it and would be ordering from here more often. The only thing i would change is having Portuguese rolls instead of sliced bread.“

“Very nice people. Grilled chicken a little hard and too much seasoning. Actually I would say there is a lot of seasoning on all the meat which makes this not a good dinner spot when I'm feeding my mom. I like it though. Veggies are good and potatoes and salad dressing. Soup is so good. All yummy.“
