“My go to place; been going to this cart for years (since 2018) and Afghan Boys has always maintained high quality throughout. All of their offerings are super flavorful with great portions, you can’t go wrong with any of them! This cart is definitely worth the detour, and it’s close to a Q47 bus stop (connects to Roosevelt Ave station). Owners are absolutely amazing and hard working“
“Sami's Kebab House offers a delightful array of Afghan cuisine, featuring traditional dishes bursting with flavor. Their kebabs, grilled to perfection and seasoned with a blend of spices, are tender and succulent, offering a taste of authenticity with every bite. The menu also includes classics like Mantu, savory dumplings filled with seasoned meat and topped with a tangy yogurt sauce, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. Don't miss their aromatic Kabuli Pulao, a fragrant rice dish infused with spices and topped with tender meat, carrots, and raisins, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Afghan cuisine. The owner’s (Sami) personal touch extends beyond the menu, as he takes the time to recommend dishes based on each diner’s preferences, ensuring a truly personalized dining experience. Their passion for Afghan cuisine shines through in every dish, making Sami’s Kebab House a destination worth revisiting time and time again.“
“I had the the chicken/beef kofta platter. The kofta was seasoned to perfection! I like how they are not stingy with the portions lol. I asked for extra rice at the end(even tho they give alot lol) guy just gave me more rice with no extra charge. I hope ya open one in the bronx, not many halal options in the “
“Once upon a time i came here about a decade ago and had a great meal Today i revisit and since it has grown exceptionally in flavor and quality. The ambiance is nice and cozy and the service was a bit busy. i got the front page menu Kabli Pulao combo as well as the beef mandoo. the lamb shank was incredible and the chicken kebab pieces was the best i ever had. the Mandoo was pretty good but the Kabli is the star of the show. they gave us dates and water bottles as well. i enjoyed it very much and can say i can't wait to go back again soon this place is the Gem of Ditmars Queens 10/10 A++ a Must go!“
“Incredible dining experience! The kebabs were incredible, I got the Beef Tikka Kebob and absolutely LOVED it. The food was a 10/10 and the service and atmosphere were even better. I would 100% recommend Ariana Afghan Kebab to anyone and everyone in New York!“
“Afghan Tikka House and Pulao is a culinary oasis in the heart of the city! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the tantalizing aroma of sizzling meats and fragrant spices. “The mixed gyro platter (with everything) is so good! I expected it to be on the drier side but it was just right. Being Korean I always hope for a little stickier of a rice instead of the dry kind and it was the way I like it. The chopped pita took up a lot of space which I prefer as the pieces to dip or rip. The veggies were soft boiled and it hit right. I’m used to the tahini being a little less tart but it was good nonetheless. My only question would be why do the falafels have to be so dark/burnt/crispy? I think I would enjoy it a bit more if it were less burned. In any case, I will definitely come back. Mo at the register is dope!“
