“I was passing by the neighborhood the other night, and needed to grab some food as I was planning on working late. This restaurant showed up on my yelp search and was highly rated so I decided to pop in and give their food a try. The vibe here is mostly takeout, but they do have a few seats if you choose to sit here and enjoy your meal. Interior is very utilitarian, it's a main ordering desk with a salad station and the kitchen in the back. Cashier was friendly and helped me pick from their various menu options and suggested the chicken kebab. I asked for the Afghan rice with it because I am such a huge fan of fried carrots and raisins. Service was pretty quick, I didn't have to wait too long for my food to get ready and they were generous with the side sauces. I found the food really delicious, the topping of carrots was very well done, and the rice was fluffy without being too heavy or greasy, which I liked. The chicken kebab was perfectly cooked, it was not dry and I like the flavors on it although I do think that it could use a little bit more seasoning. For my taste, I did find the kebab a little bit on the bland side. Salad was good and the sauces complemented the meal very well. The white sauce was creamy without being too heavy and the red sauce was a good consistency and appropriately spicy. If you are in the neighborhood, come through and give this place a shot, they are definitely dishing out some amazing food.“
“we had a hankering for good Indian fare and our trip to Jalsa did not dissappoint. We were particularly happy to find Plantain Kofta on their menu - decades ago it seemed Banana Pakora was a standard choice at Indian restaurants but somehow they went out of "style"(?). So that alone made us happy. but coupled with the Nadru Malai Kofta and some Okra, Saag Aloo and Chicken Tikka Masala and we were in heaven.“
“Have not been here in years but happy to say that chicken sandwich on a pita was incredible. For $10 dollars it was filled and the chicken was so tender. I asked for no lettuce but it all went together so well. Can’t wait to go back l! They are super busy on the platforms I could see.“

“Amazing service at Sami’s Kabab House LIC!! Me and my friends (group of 5) came here after class to break our fast during Ramadan and it was such an amazing experience. Service was courteous, fast, and excellent, we were seated immediately and given refreshments. We got the family combo, and each bite was perfection. Every kebab, especially the chicken tikka and lamb shank was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Their kabuli pulao is also 10/10, some of the best I’ve had hands down! You can tell the owner takes real pride in what they do! It’s in an excellent neighborhood and I think everyone should come by and try this place. Worth every single penny spent, and I can’t stop recommending it enough. You’ve won our hearts Sami’s Kabab House, and we will definitely be back!! ❤️“
“My go to place; been going to this cart for years (since 2018) and Afghan Boys has always maintained high quality throughout. All of their offerings are super flavorful with great portions, you can’t go wrong with any of them! This cart is definitely worth the detour, and it’s close to a Q47 bus stop (connects to Roosevelt Ave station). Owners are absolutely amazing and hard working“

“Once upon a time i came here about a decade ago and had a great meal Today i revisit and since it has grown exceptionally in flavor and quality. The ambiance is nice and cozy and the service was a bit busy. i got the front page menu Kabli Pulao combo as well as the beef mandoo. the lamb shank was incredible and the chicken kebab pieces was the best i ever had. the Mandoo was pretty good but the Kabli is the star of the show. they gave us dates and water bottles as well. i enjoyed it very much and can say i can't wait to go back again soon this place is the Gem of Ditmars Queens 10/10 A++ a Must go!“
“I had the the chicken/beef kofta platter. The kofta was seasoned to perfection! I like how they are not stingy with the portions lol. I asked for extra rice at the end(even tho they give alot lol) guy just gave me more rice with no extra charge. I hope ya open one in the bronx, not many halal options in the “

The experience of being with people that I've never met, because this is my first time going, and everyone just being nice.
